- Chic Sparrow No 10 for my Sterling Ink N1V and a chat/rant about sizes for 2025. #sterlingink #chicsparrow #standardtn #functionalplanning #minimalistplanner
I love your Chic Sparrow cover! I bought a Sterling Ink N1-V for 2025 after using the N2-V this year. I agree that I want more room but wish it didn’t add so much weight and bulk.
100%! I feel so dumb about complaining when it’s so gorgeous, but it really does make a difference if I’m carrying my shoulder bag around all day. Is your 2015 N1V full year or compact?
It’s a full year so it is heavy!! lol
@@tammywerking1115Bright side is that you get a workout in toting that beauty around 😂!
Oh my gosh, Thank You so much for making this video!!!
I’ve been on the fence about what size Sterling Ink Common Planner to get and I needed your examples and layouts to help me pick.
I’ve been jumping planners all year and I’m hoping I’ve figured out my system for next year. But I loved your reasoning about the bottom spacing because my ADHD brain needs list and in my weekly section I write out my daily habits and I need more space than the N2 and B6. So the N1-V is going to be perfect!!!!
@@YonkeeDoodles So glad I was able to help!
I am changing mine to a b6 Slim for 2025, with Sterling Ink, of course. I love the size, having used it in 2021 with the Jibun Techo. The good news is that Chic Sparrow is developing a Number 10 design for B6 Slim size!
Right now I am using a B6 common planner (vertical) which I love. I also have the N1 Vertical which I really haven't used. I have way too many unused planners. Sigh. Oh, the decisions...
Oooooh--that's so exciting that Chic Sparrow is making a B6S size! OMG, the struggle is truly real. How do you think the transition from B6 to B6S will be for you? And darn it, now you've got me thinking about B6S!
@@PlatypusPlans I know the change from B6 to B6S will be a little bit of a change - but I think it's nominal and I can adapt to the size for my writing and layout. Chic Sparrow also mentioned that they are taking the 520-page common planner into account for sizing. Yay!!
@@KayMartin1OK-now I’m really torn!
You are so entertaining! I carry my planner/s around too and it’s always a struggle between size and weight. I tried the hobonichi cousin this year and was a wash because it’s so big and heavy that it made me not want to crack it open but I’m so torn on the sizes
Lol-thank you! I tend to laugh at myself a lot 😂. I used the Cousin for a hot minute a few years back and swore never to buy another one ever again because it was a behemoth in my bag. What sizes are you torn between? A lot of people are going over to B6Slim-many claim it to be their unicorn size.
@@PlatypusPlans yeah I’m thinking of getting four planners 😂 b6slim horizontal full for work and maybe n2 horizontal compact for health, b6 vertical for study and a passport vertical. The passport vertical is mainly for time planning/blocking and the other horizontals are for more task orientated? Working in my cousin made me realise I really like the time blocking aspect but I usually don’t follow planned time blocks (self employed) except for appointments/meetings so I’m always writing over the planning and it looks like a mess but quite effective! So I figured I should just use a passport where I can carry it around and do my scribblings at the back. So I’ll mainly be carrying around a passport and a b6 slim and the rest can stay at home, hopefully it works out 😂
@@lipstickloverThat sounds very doable! Is the Pocket bigger than the Passport?
@@PlatypusPlans yes! The pocket is the same width but slightly taller than the passport! I was amazed by how fast the mulberry sold out, someone commented it was out in 3 mins!
@@lipsticklover I heard that! Crazy!
Love that cover from Chic Sparrow! I've always considered getting one but just never did. For 2025 I'm still considering the PAL planner from Kokuyo with an added Jibun Techo daily. But I use multiple planners for different parts of my organization.
@@TheKoffeeVerse I’m always amazed at people who can use multiple planners! I just get all sorts of confused. Really happy you are doing more writing and pushing that part of your life forward!
@@PlatypusPlans I do better when I compartmentalize things lol So having separate planners helps me stay organized. It only becomes an issue if there is a ton of overlap, then it becomes redundant...
I am staying in my Sterling Ink TN Horizontal. Looking forward to purchasing a 2025. No Hobonichi's in my future....
@@Jeanniehud Nice! Yes, I don’t foresee buying Hobonichi again, although their super cute Weeks covers are very tempting!
Is the N1-V portable? Is it too big to be an EDC? I'm getting it for 2025 but do I need a passport or N2 for on the go. Thinking I dont need an N2 and I'm just looking for somwone to tell me I do! I would like a planner for health/fitness so may N2 for that? Or 2 N1s...? Decisions. Decisions.
@@abcsjuneau I feel your pain! The N1 isn’t super big but it’s definitely a lot heavier with a leather cover.
If you plan on carrying your health/fitness planner to the gym, the N2 is easier. But if you use it to write down your reps, definitely easier to write in the N1 if your hand/grip gets shaky. I hope that helps!
I decided to move into the N1 compact for 2025. I had a B6 full year and that became so huge and heavy. I’m looking forward to trying the N1 size and your video was comforting.
@@tammyd4208 Hooray, fellow N1 user! I’m kinda of considering the compact, too, but it will depend on how many note pages I will use by November. Are you a horizontal or vertical planner?
@@PlatypusPlansin the past, I’ve used the vertical planner. This year I am trying horizontal for the first time too. I’m excited. 🎉
