  • I've seen a few comments complaining that i do too many chili peppers, the reason for that is that i really really like them :)
    Other things are on the way though but it just takes time.
    The first few flowers didn't pollinate but eventually the fruit started to grow. I should have given some extra fertilizer while the fruits where developing to avoid some of the leaves from falling off, but it still looked okay at the end so no harm done.

    Bro, the stage yours was at ~42 days, it has taken me nearer to 120 FUCKING DAYS to get my habanero to. Boy i must just really suck at starting chilli's as my other 12 varieties have all had one issue or other.

      Water.

      The plant leaves go down (wilt) due to insufficient moisture. When he waters the plant, the leaves have moisture and go up. You have to keep a balance in watering. Too little or too much water will kill a plant..

    How is it possible that you always get the fruit? Do you need to pollinate the flowers or does it just happen on its own?

      Because peppers self pollinate

      Pepper flowers can pollinate themselves but i help them a bit by using a fine paintbrush to move the pollen around.

    Great video.
    But music is too relaxed for habanero.
    Something heavy metal, maybe seek and destroy, would work here.

    From preview I thought that you are growing a pumpkin, and ~180 days are perfectly match with time left for Halloween. And so everyone can be inspired to grow they own pumpkin for carving 😢

      i've tried growing pumpkin twice. But it's quite hard to grow them indoors, they never produce any pumpkins for me :( i will try again though!

    dont blame you for growing chilli peppers these look amazing to grow. i keep on trying to grow peppers but the possums always eat them. :(

      Cats and some dogs are awesome for garden or just simple plot guarding if you're growing them outside. Possums aren't dum either, they eat the peppers before they gain their potency to ward of any large animal from continuing to eat the plant.

    I greatly enjoy your videos, but honestly have to say I've seen enough time-lapses of peppers/chilis. The just all look the same with a slightly different fruit. Other species are way more diverse and interesting :)

      I know :) but i love chili peppers, and they are a good subject for a time-lapse because they always produce fruit and are quite easy to grow. I have other stuff on they way though so just have to wait for them to be ready.

    What percentage of Habanero seeds actually sprout ?
