    ▬ A NOTE ON USING LED LIGHTS AS HALOGEN BULB REPLACEMENTS ▬
    Aim your headlights AT LEAST once a year and ALWAYS after replacing the bulbs.
    If the cutoff is bad or you can’t aim them accurately or the light output scatters, it is NOT safe to use. Try a different style of LED or one with a lower output that will be more compatible with your light housing. See my other videos for more reviews.
    When I use the word “headlights”, I am referring to legal off-road use or fog light use only as replacing factory halogen bulbs with LEDs for headlights in the US is not currently legal nor a DOT approved practice. Hello I recently seen car light review video on best LED lights and the diamond vision f9 came on top for brightest led in reflector housings. I’m

    For those worried about melting wires, you shouldn't have any issues. Most factory wires feeding headlights are 16 gauge. A 16 gauge wire is capable of up to 13amps. Amps = watts÷volts. So, even if your battery is almost dead (8-10 volts) you won't be pulling more than 8ish amps.
    I would personally still double check that your headlight fuses are rated for that amperage. If you only have one fuse for both headlights, make sure it's at least a 15 and that the wires connected to the headlights, correspond correctly in size for that amperage.
    Your only real concern, is the bulb itself shorting out. Which would likely be due to an overheating condition or, a very wet condition, leading to the internal components frying, thus causing a short.
    Just don't wire both of these lights to a single side. Keep them separate on driver/passenger like the OEM intended.

Man was I blown away. I could not believe what my eyes were seeing. Hands down the brightest bulbs I've ever had in my projectors. Perfect beam pattern with no dark spots whatsoever. Just perfect performance all the way around. I've finally found a bulb that meets and exceeds my expectations. What would be incredible is if you did a long term review of a range of your favourite headlights and had to measure how they last over months of daily use for 30 minutes a day, and see after 6 months to a year how each bulb holds up? And before those I had the Fahren termitor on the trucks low beams and since installing the punisher instead now the trusty old termitors are chillsn as high beams which are also on for 90% of my night commute thru Death Valley highway when it’s just me myself and I and you need all the light you can get 🙂 Hope that gives you some options to consider!

    Very impressive results. However I do have concerns with the power consumption and how the stock wiring would handle it. Your observed 80w is significantly higher than 55w that most halogens consume. Maybe Im being paranoid but it might melt the wires or something else because the car is not designed to handle that kind of power. I think a HID type setup with separate wires and relays would be appropriate if running these lights.

    • @DiamondVisionLED
      @DiamondVisionLED Год назад +6

      Thank you for the comment. For the concerns about the 80W of power and the electrical wiring, I have the F9 bulbs installed on my 2009 Altima and 2005 Camry since August 2022 and haven't had any issues. I've sold about 80 sets of the F9 headlights, and haven't had any customers contact me about there being any electrical issues. The wiring gauge in cars can handle the 80W, as halogen high beams are 65/70W and halogen low beams are 50/60W, but both are the same gauge of wire and 80W would work fine with it.

    A couple ideas for future content:
    1) There's a growing demand out there for H4 size LED bulbs.
    Very few LED bulb companies get the beam pattern correct, let alone make an improvement over halogen.
    It'd be awesome if you also began a separate series for the H4 market.
    2) Speaking of H4, cheap Chinese bi-LED H4 projectors are becoming more and more popular. Seeing how some reflectors in this size (even with OEM halogen) have a horrendous output and spread, I tend to point my customers towards the mini H4 projector route. However, nobody (to my knowledge) does thorough testing with those to determine which ones are quality so I suggest you start a series on them.

    • @Resist_JWO_1984
      @Resist_JWO_1984 Год назад

      H11 is a very popular bulb size. No one cares about your H4. And, why would Jason spend more money on different bulbs of the same type from the same manufacturer to satisfy a few??? You can always buy and shipp bulbs you want to be tested to Jason, but you're not going to do it. And it seems that you can only afford"cheep" led / bi-led projectors, and you're not going to buy F9 or N60 anyway.

      @avang83 I'm assuming you need D2S's? I haven't heard of anything better than the Osram Cool Blue Intense Next Gen's in the last 3 or so years. Some may get a bit more lux but don't last as long. You can buy something like the DDM Tuning Ultra's but see how long they last. They're a bit brighter (the 5500k's were the last one's I used but the 6500k's looked real nice but didn't reach out as far as I wanted) but about a third the price though But you may change them more often. If more frequent changes don't bother you, try the DDM Tuning Ultra's out. The light that burns brightest burns fastest! Other than those two, I would not recommend any of the others for price/performance ratio, except for the pair of DMEX's I keep in a drawer for when the Osram's go out. They are a little yellow for my taste, throw less and aren't as bright , but only $20 for the pair and can last the two days until Amazon gets me another pair of Osram's.

    Hello love the videos! Everytime I get a new project car I come check with your channel on updates to see what’s the best bang for my buck and I appreciate the honest reviews! In my own testing light output per dollar has been the Fahren termitors but these F9 in this video are hefty looking strong bulbs!
    However, it ain’t that simple for my other automobile since the headlight hosing built spacing is very tight and limits my options when bulb shopping. The current h1 Fahren branded bulbs seem to be the only ones I’ve found that fit without complications or modifications to the very expensive and hard to replace dust covers so I’ve been having to deal with them self destructing about once every year or so. They are an H1 bulb type and it’s one of the most difficult bulbs to spruce in a compact configuration.
    I’m not sure how to use your spreadsheet of all the current lights you have tested. Are they ranked from 1 thru 35 in ascending order as they get stronger ? Or is it just set random or based on dates of testing ?

    While I have read DV's comments that a 55 watt stock halogen would be able to tolerate the higher wattage on their F9 H11, I don't understand why the manufacturer, in my case a 2015 Lexus RX350, prints 55w for the halogen OEM H11 and 60w for the OEM halogen 9005 light. Can you explain why these lights with higher power outputs won't cause problems for the car when the manufacturer recommends these lower wattages? Thanks

    • @DiamondVisionLED
      @DiamondVisionLED Год назад +1

      The manufacturer (Toyota/Lexus) using stock halogen bulbs is rated at 50-55W for low beams and 60-65W for high beams. That's why the manual has those specs listed. But LED headlights that have been using over 50-60W have been around the past couple of years. The F9 using 80W will work as it's still using the same 12-13V and low Amps, as the car's wire gauge is capable of handling the wattage. It been 8 months in my two cars, and all the units that have sold, and haven't had any issues with them overheating.

I have h13’s and I feel like the bulbs that I try after watching your videos have a bit different performance. I know it varies from different housings and such but I feel like there might be some differences between the performance of a single beam and dual beam bulb. For example between the bulbs I've tired some use one led chip for low and the other chip for high beam. Other led bulbs use one chip for low and both chips at once for high. It makes the spread really wide when they use both at once.

    IT was all sounding good except when you remember that your vehicle stock halogen lamps wiring system can handle 55-60 watts of continuous power to each bulb and not 79-90 watts each like this LED "Upgrade" will and thus you can cause your stock wiring to overheat and burn or short out and cause more problems, especially on "American" or Korean brand vehicles due to the poor conductors used on the wiring harness and thus you can end up causing more problems with your vehicle than you would like such as a shorted Engine Control Module. Consult a local auto electrician or mechanic before using these LED's or just simply look for ones that are closer to 60Watts output per bulb.

    I asked for you to try the 2023 termitor on your review video. I have recieved mine yesterday and installed with sealight on drivers and termitor on passenger. Previously I had fahren forscher and sealight and sealight and halogen.. the sealight just barely beat halogen and lost to forscher barely due to forscher high beam a bit better visibility and a tiny bit brighter in hot spot areas. The sealight had much more flood coverage though so they may actually win for now.
    The 2023 termitor are noticeably less bright when immediate use and over time they are just barely more bright despite being almost 3x the price... and they have the worst flood coverage.

      @Car Light Reviews 2013 reflector nissan quest.... the level of brightness of the sealight is a tiny bit more than factory halogen but it has much wider flood area. It lights up close to car where the fog lights would normally and out. The fahren forscher are a little bit noticeably higher Kelvin (this is NOT a good thing) the fahren are a tiny bit longer throw than the sealight but they have much less flood coverage.
      The fahren termitor 2023 are not noticeably better at all.
      And when I drive next to a early 2000 Honda with factory lights with replacement bulbs the amount of light they generate in comparison is like I basically have nothing..
      When they are behind and passing me aii I see is my shadow with their light flooding everywhere.
      Same with other old vehicles and same with newer land rovers and audio and many others with presumably their factory led and hid lights with projectors.... the amount of light they are generating is like their low beams are my high beams.
      I've also tried in a hyundai elantra and a lincoln town car various equivalent models.
      I don't understand why they can be so bad. I don't particularly want to spend a lot more for the highest rated lights and as the termitor is not quite so expensive yet tests exceptionally high.... tried that and it's just disgusting at least low beam how not exceptional it is.

    Thank you for this review. When I compare the projector result with the Hikari Titanova I found that the dead zone is just way too big for my liking and personally I still prefer 6000K over 6500K bulbs.

      Hey George. Glad to see more people becoming aware of the dead zone most led bulbs have. The beam patterns look good on a wall but once out on the road one sees very good side illumination but not good throw usually. Some projectors are worse/better than others. Finding one that works for your application is the tricky part. Coincidentally, for me, I found the LED with the chipset closer in dimensions to the halogen filament produced the best down the road illumination. I think chip placement is important too, the closer to the halogen location the better the patter, the further from the base the wider the beam but less sharp. It’s trial and error unfortunately.

    • @CarLightReviews
      @CarLightReviews  Год назад

      I think they are selling what people think they want. People think whiter (or unfortunately, bluer) means brighter and better. Put a 6500k LED light next to a 5,000k LED light at the same price and without even mentioning the color temperature and I'll bet the 6500k version sells first 9 times out of 10 based on the image of the color alone. So if they only made halogen colors, people wouldn't buy them.
      Some companies, do though. Like DDM tuning I know does, I think there are a couple more but very few.

  • @TheOriginalBumper
    @TheOriginalBumper 11 месяцев назад

    I hope these led headlight bulb companies start to offer warmer colors in the future . 5500, 5000 , 4500 and 4000 k color temps would be great. Those Milwaukee trueview 4000k color temp lights are amazing . All these bulbs are nice in brightness and light control but are too tuner boy blue lights .

    • @CarLightReviews
      @CarLightReviews  11 месяцев назад

      I think DDM and GTR still do but not many other companies offer them. I speculate the reason is because people mistakenly think that whiter = brighter = better and the warmer color lights don't sell well.

      Good question...hard to say. I know that the cheap 4-sided versions are absolutely terrible for light pattern, to the point of being extremely dangerous to use. The Hikari was brighter and it was obvious to the naked eye. Maybe they gave you an upgraded version.
