I’m 52 and remember how revolutionary Doom’s soundtrack was in 1993. Doom II, Doom 64 and Doom 3 were pretty good.
Then Doom (2016) blew me away. I simply wasn’t ready for Doom Eternal. Mick Gordon has created musical perfection. 🎸 💥
With a leap in music like this one, I probably won’t be able to hear over a few hundred decibels if I continue listening to the music

Today I decided to start learning this on my guitar. It's the end of the day now and I can say I've got the first 1:30 minutes decently played on a record slowed at speed 0,75. But the thing is, my left biceps is super sore from all this stretching and this brings me to the conclusion that playing Doom music is equal to a workout. What a masculine game.

Love this song. Just stopping by to share that after all this time and many attempts I FINALLY beat the Super Gore Nest Master Level on Nightmare. Running for the exit with buffed Marauders and Doom Hunters galore coming after me and only just making it to that last portal gave me SUCH a dopamine hit. Haven't had that much fun playing Doom for a while. Doom is Eternal. RIP AND TEAR!!!!!

something about 5:44 just clicks differently, such a smooth guitar becoming more agressive as it builds up the solo, so good
he layered so much, so many elements, there is one panoramic guitar and then back to the double to get more heavier, when is just one he put minimals fx elements to accompany the guitar, to not change the previous ambience too much and make the music bad, too good its such a masterpiece of mixing, this music is so heavy but so smooth, so soft, everything in this is perfect, damn, i need to get on this level

Doom should have a grapple system. Imagine someone’s shooting at you and you can grab a demon for a shield. Then throw them for extra damage. Even a new set of “finishers” for punching and grapples

We will have justice for Mick Gordon. I've bought almost every id Software game starting with Doom 2 and Eternal is my absolute favourite FPS in all my decades of gaming. But Eternal is the last id Software game I buy unless they pay Mick what he's owed + damages - and unless they fire the fuck outta Marty Stratton.

Thank you for reuploading this! I still remember when I heard Koma's mix of this track, my jaw almost hit the floor at each new phase - they took Mick Gordon's work and did the mixing that iD Software didn't let him add in, completing the masterpiece in his stead

@@x0scimy0x Sorry for the delayed reply! Koma 'mix'ed it, which essentially means bumping up bass and treble in specific segments to add more punch to the meaty parts of the song. That, and he layered phases of the track in his take on the progressive sequence. Each phase felt more.. I dunno, epic as a result. Truly good stuff!
