I remember the first time I ever saw the best fighting game of all time bar none in the arcade. I saw Vega and how fast and agile of character he was, I instantly fell in love with the game, and he was the character I wanted to play with. I didn't have an SNES when this first released on Console. I had a Mega Drive and had to wait for a year or tew before Champion Edition released on Mega Drive. So the only way I could play it was either at my friend's house or when I went to the arcades at the seasides around my area at the time. I remember the day I got Champion Edition on the Mega Drive like it was yesterday. My dad took me to a local game shop called Chips. I remember there was Fatal Fury and Champion Edition next to each other on the shelf. He said, pick one, and I didn't even look at Fatal Fury. I picked Champion Edition up, slammed it on the desk, paid for it, and left. I read the back of the case and the manual all the way home in the car. I couldn't wait to get home and play it. Me and my dad played the hell out of this game, and we noth kicked eachothers arse. We both knew all the moves and had some really great fights on it. That is one of my best childhood memories of me and my dad gaming together.

Not a big fan of Vega but I did enjoy this. A LOT. This was definitely a "breath of fresh air." Loved the gameplay. Was cool to see what he can do in your hands. Didn't disappoint. It was fun and different. 👏🏼
Vega is the only character they actually nerfed a bit from The World Warrior. In the original he had a jump kick that you could only really counter with an uppercut or something, that got downgraded to a regular jump kick and he was easier to beat

Fun fact, when street fight first came out, Balrog was actually name Bison. But I think because it sounded like Tyson and it’s obvious the character is inspired by Mike Tyson, the had to switch the name with the final boss.
