Can I assume everyone commenting here is in their 40’s? 😂
Sigh, yes
Almost there😂
Yup

Nothing like 15 to 20 people surrounding this arcade game back then. You simply walked up, placed your quarter on the bottom screen and waited your turn. There was that mutual respect that this is my quarter and I got next. Bring your A game or end up going to the back of the line. Good memories!!
The honor system of lining up your quarter somehow worked amazingly in those days, I can’t see people having enough respect for it to work today.
@@deleqtronica8733 it still happens on dancegames like Pump & DDR!
In this day and age they would just cut the line and or use your quarter or token (we had tokens back home back then) people are too spoiled and entitled nowadays.
Amazing memories. The respect for the quarters and who's turn it was, was incredible. One question alone was asked. Who's the last man? I'm next after him.
😱 😱 OMG! When I was a kid like 30 years ago, I saw someone who’s hayduken was a huge fireball that nearly filled up the screen and I was telling people what I saw and nobody believed me and also I could not find it on RUclips. And to this day, I stand beside what I saw. NOW...this video shows there is a setting control you can adjust and it tweaks player’s special moves! OMG! This has to be how they made the giant haduken!
Fear Allah
You might be talking about X-men VS street fighter or one of those variants. Ryu’s super mover was this big ass laser looking hadoken 😂
Dude, I did the same thing! Fortunately, they released this cabinet in a few places so (some) others knew what I was talking about! You ain't crazy!
That game would have been Street fighter 2 rainbow edition
Street Fighter 2 "Someone is stunned 90% of the time" Edition
I remember back in the 90s playing this in an actual arcade room. Played against zangief and he started spinning and killed me with flames from his boots. Never could go back to playing the original street fighters again. 🤣🤣🤣
I'm 40 now, used to play SF2 in the stores, bars, wherever there was an arcade machine. Then it came out on the Super Nintendo and it was a game changer, tournaments with family and friends every single day. I always used RYU and my brother KEN, my dad GUILE. Such beautiful memories, i miss the 90s, life was great.
I am also in my 40s it used to be my high school days..loved SF..also chip and Dale and teenage mutant ninga...wow 90s was awesome
I had this game for SNES too, and logged some serious man hours playing it. I always fought with Ken.
Also 40 and remember spending entire days at the arcade. Winner stays in and losers keep changing. There were times where we would get so hyped up that the panel which had the joystick and buttons would come off the machine. 😂 Fantastic times.
@@Whatreally123 miss those days buddy, a whole different story.
@@Whatreally123dude yeah, quarters lined up for who had next
Zangief blocked that first attack and it still took 95% of his health 😂
Vega couldn't do that he died lol
😆 Lol Surreal
😄😃
that's crazy 😂😂
No he didn't!!! u lie!!!! It was %93.69993 of his health not %95
Aww man these jacked up versions of SF2 remind me of my teen years. Forever sonic booms and spinning piledrivers through the floor..... Memories
Yeah only found this version at the ghetto arcades
0:52 When you're in the middle of an intense ranked match at 8:59 AM, but gotta be in school by 9:00 AM:
🤣
The best thing about this version is the colourings of the outfits. Also, the yoga flame coming out of Blanka's electricity!
100% Vegan combo
Best street fighter ever 👍🙌 I use to get up at 5am and play this before school ♥️
Well you’re a nerd!!
How come there was an arcade open that early?
I see this version in arcade once ,it become my childhood mysterious things for many years
Back in the day, all the kids want this version of street fighter, it’s just too easy. In China, it was called the invincible dragons Ryu and Ken,
I preferred the Rainbow Edition
Yeah in Peru in 96 I never understood how my cousin was able to perform such techniques. Now I know it was just a special edition. I was 6 he was 13 or 14. Crazy how time flies. I am in my 30’s now.
Its just a hacked version dumb lmao 😆😆
Zheng loung
True true!
I learned how to play this at a diner near where I lived. Still play thirty years later.
Gotta love the little birds flying around when dizzy! The background with the giant Buddha statue was always my favorite.
That damage output is insane lol
約30年前、ツレとゲームセンターで対戦して5分くらい笑い転げた思い出がある。
これは何なんですか?
I constantly play this modified Stf2 classic on my mame emulator, I have at least 8 modifications of this game here and I enjoy it today on my cell phone as I enjoyed it over 20 years ago in the arcades.
Show me the way bro
I bought that for my SEGA Mega Drive and spent spooooo much time on it. Every pixel, every sound, every mechanical issue is saved forever in my head. I have been a million times on Ken's marriage, I avenged Chun Li's dad so often, I was witness of Guile's family-reunion so often, I walked the path of the warrior with Ryu so often.... man.... even the winning-screen gives me nostalgia.
4:22 woah! Tanning game is on point there, yellow Ryu!
Proto Sean.
What a beautiful journey down memory lane! Thanks so much for uploading. I remember in the early to mid 1990s in London UK, going to the Arcade room in Elephant & Castle shopping centre, 1st floor to watch other school kids play Street Fighter. Interestingly, I didn't play much of it at all, was more in World Heroes and this other fighting game I cannot recall it name. I still remember the shop owner and how the kids will get 50p coins from him for the arcade machines.
Even now, the Shopping centre has been demolished. How time flies! Thanks for uploading
We had this version in the arcade across the street from my house..great times..sf2 mk123..nba jam..spy hunter..killer instinct..street ballers..xmen..ninja turtles
I remember when this game came out in the 90’s when I was living in Jamaica we were all so hyped we cut school and took a bus an hour away to this one particualr arcade that had this game played all day and made it back to school on time to be picked up by our parents 😂
Decades later and i remember still getting mad at the cheese when everyone use to do nothing but throw fireballs at one another for this particular version lmao
Street fighter was the first game to utilize hype good music to pump u up for a epic fight.
I remember this edition, back in the early 90s, my barbershop in the Bronx had this rocking. Cheating ass game lol, loved the no charge sonic booms though
This is different to the early arcade edition that was similar - i believe the first hacked edition on arcade was the "Rainbow Edition"
Very similar though.
@@atomstew I think you are right , rainbow edition was the name
The soundtrack is amazing 😍
I swear when i saw this it brought back memories i use to play this in the arcade in corner stores
That beating both Chun-Li and Ken took from Ryu during the ending. XD
Man I don’t remember so many fire balls!! That’s crazy!! Man I could watch this all day! I played this for so many uncountable hours!!1 of my favourite game of all time! Mortal Kombat was just as good!
i remembered walking thru the corner store as a kid and seeing the street fighter 2 machine, seeing all the fuckin hadokens...it blew my mind at the time cuz i didnt think that shit was possible lmao
1:53ガードしてるのに腹ちぎれるくらいワロタ
I remember when I see this at arcade saloon first time. I amazed and terrified at that moment.
See.!?!?! I knew I wasn't crazy! That game was super difficult indeed! Lol
This was a broken edition that was rare. I played this with my brother at an arcade once. Think it was called hyper street fighter edition. But man them the good old days. Used to have people lined up for hours with quarters. It would start an tournament outta nowhere.
I would always get the joystick that was broken, lol.
rare? these were all over the place, in fact, it was harder to find the regular non modulated street fighter 2 back in the day, every arcade center altered the street fighter in a different way.
wow..i just recently was trying to explain the street fighter version with the roller coaster fireballs and everyone was looking at me like i was crazy 😁😁😁
Back when I was kid, I played street fighter in many arcades in game stations, but there was one game station that has insane street fighter in its arcade. It had double speed than normal n I remember that when Ken uses Tornado 🌪️ Kick, the speed was about 2-3 times faster than normal
Rainbow edition
I played thunder edition. Character morphing during the match
Facts if you had Guile you can throw unlimited sonic booms
HaHa I agree with you
I remember playing this in the arcades in the early 90's
You grew up playing this game sharing a bedroom with your brothers until you got a house and get your own room, but by then the Nintendo 64 came out and this street fighter game was sent to goodwill across the globe.
lmao I remember seeing a lot of SF2 hack arcades with multiple hadouken or the characters slowly going up during the beginning of the fight. Great memories XD
Even being that OP, POS Zangief still gave him trouble. Some things never change lol.
That hawaiian Ryu was very good at avoiding the attacks until sec. 86 of 1st round.
I don’t know why but I ended up watching the whole thing. It reminded me back in 1990’s. I was in bowling center playing this game with other challengers.
Remember playing this on the most underground arcade locations. Famoso Street Fighter 2 e 1/2
I don’t play sf2 but I do play the others and this is amazing and it brings back me memories when I used to play this but this is the best street fighter and there is a lot to learn. It is fun to play and sf4 or 5 I don’t really enjoy and this version is a brilliant. I love the gameplay the moves,it’s really enjoyable to play and this game is better then any other street fighter game by a lot. Though street fighter 4,5 has more characters and moves street fighter 2 has an amazing gameplay and brilliant moves and characters. It’s an amazing game and it’s probably lost its popularity now and as street fighter 6 is being released I think street fighter 2 will be the best out of all of them.
SF2 is the best , best sound , fighting, graphics, it has everything the new ones suck to me
memories... I saw many variants of this when I was a kid
Excelente video y recuerdos de nuestra adolescencia 90 tas la versión mágica así le decíamos gracias x estos recuerdos
Thank you for a good bit of nostalgia. This will always be one of the best. And impressive playing.
I was lucky enough to play street fighter at a arcade center when I was waiting for my turn I used to watch other players vs one another best memories
Amazing but true still as fresh as 31 years ago. A masterpiece in the 2D fighting genre. Thanks CAPCOM!!.🕹️👊🏼
Geez makes it look so easy but im sure i would not stand a chance for a second. I love the new powers added to the old lol. Ive been playing street fighter since i was a little girl lol my dad would always use e honda and rely on the hundred hand slap move and we get mad because he would beat my brother and i everytime because it was the only move he was using lol.
Vídeo top só lembra a minha infância em meados dos anos 90'. Saudades eternas 😢
My childhood memories 🥺🥺🥺
Man, I remember when "Rainbow Edition" started making its rounds at our towns pizza parlor arcades. Crazy stuff like what is seen here. Homing fireballs, specials in mid air, Zangief being able to spinning pile drive you from anywhere on the screen. It was nuts. I mean it was a hacked version of the game, sure. But man was it fun.
How was it installed ? Or was it like a secret sequence of Controller movements that needed to be done by the player?
@@steviealvaalbany2730 just a bootleg version, they were specially common in Latin America, since there was no official channel from Capcom, so it was even more expensive to get official Capcom appliances
The golden age of multiplayer :)
I remember my friend had this Arcade machine in his bedroom.. about 30 years ago.. unbelievable 😀
I remember an arcade bootleg similar to this, the fun...
When the youngest son finds a game he can win...
I remember people lining up their quarters on the machine then standing in line to play one another. SFll was the hottest game back then.
I still play street fighter 2 arcade at Coney Island in Brooklyn
The fighting sounds 'poor you. kid!.. and 'aduy! kid' is stuck in my memory.
The time when Blanks shocking you at the last moment Double KO is funny as shock. I couldn't stop laughing 😂
That double KO with Blanka was really cool!
I don’t like that particular version of SF2 though - those storms of hadoukens are ridiculous. There is one version called Red Wave - it’s much better imo.
🤣😂💥
double ko was nuts
Fake as fuc#....no chance at that combo from distance and half life past.....🤣
🔥 ☄️
🤸🏻♂️ 🔥
🔥 💥 ☄️
The hadouken storm takes half your life away... As long as you block that is 🤣
Waoooo regrese a mi infancia cuando tenía 14 años en la ciudad de México gracias por compartir
Callese wey! Tienes pelos en tus ojos?
I remember playing a turbo version where 1 fireball comes out with the all-you-can uppercut but not 6. Damn
I remember a broken version crazy like this is the corner store by my grandma lmao I spent mad quarters in that bih! The color is so good on this video btw
Who needs Satsui No Hado and Power of Nothingness when you have this. Akuma got nothing on this Ryu.
The ending song is so beautiful.
I remember back in the early 90s going to SEARS as a kid. There was always a demo booth of a console and game you could play. It was of course street fighter 2 on SNES and there was a looong line. The kids set up winner stays loser out, so I got to back of line off twenty something odd kids and waited my turn. When it was my turn, played and took the L, but then I knew this franchise was huge.
M.Bison standing one of his HQ`s Windows : "Why there alot of Hadoukens in the air ?!"
WTF 12:00 🤣🤣
Ryu one of my favourite character of all times
They had a nightmare edition on arcade where you can keep doing jump firing projectiles and go through the screen multiple times and when you throw your opponent after going through the screen they go through the screen the same amount of times you jumped through, it worked best with guile and sonic boom then suplex throw.
Ah man me and my bro got the snes street fighter 2 pack for xmas one year.. best xmas ever lol
Sempre bom recordar este jogo bacana
Nice memories, a lot of fireballs seems a multiball pinball machine :).
Never really got into Street Fighter simply because I sucked big time lol but i still played it occasionally because I loved the characters and the music. Ken and Guiles themes were dope as hell.
Yeah, I remember Street Fighter quite well but I was more into World Heroes then and this other Samurai game.. cannot remember it's name
2:30 lol... I remember when this popped up at a Kroger's here in south Houston. Only time I've ever come across a cabinet of it.
I remember arcades doing this in the early 90’s. But something seems off. I don’t remember so many fire balls out of the dragon punch, but I do remember it swept the entire stage. Dalsim was INSANELY fast. Zangif could grab you from almost anywhere. I think Gile could walk half way through the air? It was a long time ago. Almost 30 years ago…
Try the Rainbow hacked editions!
Wait, they actually used mods like this in Arcades back then?!🤣
@@SegaDisneyUniverse yup
I have played it a lot after 3 decades I have bouught a nintendo mini just because this game. I can't remember that a multiple fireball combo ever exist on the classic game
@SεgaDisηεγUηivεrsε i remember playing a mod version that allowed character change during fights with the player I start or player II start button for second player. Also had things like air attacks (fireball/dragon punch ect) was so wowed I stayed there for few hours getting my fix at that corner store in Vancouver
As much as I used to play SF, I don’t ever remember Ryu being a beast like this, wow
Quite insane tbh
It wasn't like this in original SF2... Or even the turbo edition. This edition is utter cheese. Spam the dragon punch, and you pretty much can't lose.
Ufff this BGM is nostalgic
It takes me back to my childhood.
Saudoso "Street Fighter de rodoviária"
I love this game man. Since the 90's, this has got to be the best fighting game ever created, with the soundtrack to match. Way better than the newer Street Fighter 4 and 5. By far. This is an instant classic hit. I have the Super Nintendo Street FIghter 2 turbo version.
Definitely that game an hyper fight was my favourite 💪🏿🔥
Rrrrrrrŕrrrrrrr4rrrrrrr
Hell yea 10 stars all day! 👇👉👆👈YB!
That’s the only street fighter I owed! The turbo was the best! Took me some time beating it on Hard level haha 😂
After sf3 2nd impact I don’t acknowledge anything else. Except Capcom vs snk 2 and the marvels vs Capcom
Todo boteco da minha cidade na infância tinha tinha uma máquina de fliperama com um Street Fighter bugado assim kkk lembro q tinha um que os personagens até "voavam" quando era anunciado o Round pelo narrador, bons tempos!
Game developer : How many Hadouken you want in this game ?
Everyone : Yes
Sometimes you just see a video thumbnail that you absolutely MUST click on
It's just looks easier than a normal version of the game when you just have to jump back and dragonpunch
Can't be considered a #PRO until you can break all the barrels 😂😉😂
Wowzis op. See that blocked dragon punch in round 1 vs Zangief and round 3 vs Vega!!!
I need a full size arcade with each version 🔥
Damn bro that Zangief is a problem even in hack mode lol
Esse Street Fighter foi o mais apelão que fizeram. Hahahaha
How can you survive a "shoryuken" with fireballs comn out too?
Super dope!
The fireballs are still going and the match is over 😂😂😂😂😂
Bons tempos. Hoje sou 40rentão
@@cachorrodemendigo848 eu usava tampinha de garrafa. Amassava no martelo.
@@cachorrodemendigo848 fiz tudo isso kkkk
Dat Zangief move speed tho...
I saw the video and immediately remembered Jackie Chan 😄
i was madddd at the second bonus cause he didn't know what to do.... lol great vid late to the party
Poor Ryu ist complete over powered with that one move.
That's a lot of fireballs!
This is exactly like the bootleg Flowers Edition, except that the colour palette is completely new to me.
I thought I was a street fighter fan yet I never heard of Super Golden Edition, go figure🤔
