Ladies, if a man puts this song on in your presence, he is into you. If he air guitars/air basses and lip synchs/sings along, he is into you as much as a man can be. Truth.
I rode with friends from Rangely Colorado to the mall in Grand Junction to get this cassette the day it was released in 1989. It was a beautiful, sunshiny day heading back over Douglas Pass rocking Sonic Temple the whole way. A day etched into my memory forever. It's not just the riffs or the lyrics, it's how it grabs you by the chest and rips you back in time. I had the window down and can still feel the wind and sun on my arm. I can still smell the air and hear those chords echoing in my ears. A lifetime has passed since that day but I just relived it again when I heard this song. That's the real power of music.
I miss you Dion every time I hear this song and wildflower I remember you our baby girl is 20 and she has blossomed into a beautiful young woman I'm so thankful you blessed me 🥰🥰🥰
I love this song. I use to hear it on Z104.5 The Edge out of Tulsa, Oklahoma all the time. And I love it. I wish it was mine. I was listening and watching Cinderella video's and saw a thumbnail for it. I thought I would click on it and listen to it. I'm glad I did. Thanks for the upload. Love & light from Gore, Oklahoma.❤💡🖤
It's one of those things you just gotta do. Learn by doing. I'm not saying I can shred, but I know enough to mess around. And all I did was buy a book called Total Guitar.
A decent guitar should cost you about $100 used. Put some new strings on it, get it tuned up, learn some basic riffs, maybe take a theory class. If you enjoy playing the damn thing you'll find reasons to play it and get better. :)
This song reminds me of my beautiful baby, my woman..... she is everything a woman should be and is..... she embodies the sensuality of this song and so very much more...... truth.... she is the epitome of this song and I am one damn lucky man..... yes I am....🔥🔥🔥
Boy you look familiar.....But yeah me also. I graduated in 89 and went and purchased sonic temple and The Cult is my all time favorite band to this day. 🔥♥️✌
tremendous band definitely some of the finest driving rock song ever done true masters and so underrated thanks guys if i need an injection of energy im never disappointed by your performances
I listened yesterday..and went around singing it all day...and now I'm back! Must mean I like it! And now I know the words! Smoke Stack lightning huh..so it's not smokes that lightning..lol And they do trance like a cat on a hot tin shack..meow! CAT WOMAN! jjjjjj. Ow!!!! Send that fire down! Ow!!!
You're driving me crazy, come on little honey! I sooo remember this playing on the boardwalk in Venice Beach during the 80's on the weekend. Large crowds, great music and playing volleyball listening to The Cult. The shops would put out large speakers for the beach crowd.
If you go looking, you'll find some absolutely sick contemporary music, but you have to actually look for it. You won't discover anything truly novel through regular radio (no hour long epic tracks about a wizard in Norway becoming a lich on the FM for example) Take a dive into the deep end of some foreign music in more niche genres. Orbit Culture has some sick contemporary death metal from Sweden, Stone Rebel is a French jam band, Black Sky Giant has some absolutely killer instrumental stoner doom, and King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard are their own can of alligator worms. Good luck, happy hunting!
Original, abit-of-glam-but-unpretentious, well structured, kick, punch BLAM! Rock 'n Roll. What a team, Atsbury/Duffy! Guitar and Vocal are both lead instruments. They were originally spotted by the Stones and signed to their label Beggar's Banquet, I believe. I knew of LOVE and ELECTRIC but SONIC TEMPLE was the first CD a buddy of mine gave me when I was in the hospital. This was the next notch up, like the Volume11 button. I still enjoy them as much today. Thanks for the vid lyrics.
Fire woman, Wildflower, and she sells sanctuary. Play these three songs in the presence of a lady you have feelings for, will tell her that she sets you on fire, that she's your little flower, and that you feel safe in her arms.
Whatever! Great lyrical creativity, no matter what the sources. It's in the packaging! Atsbury and Duffy were abit like the Glimmer Twins :) They wrote some great kick-ass, melodic (Edie, ciao bay), and sometimes weird hard rock, with a good balance of vocal and guitar licks. Firewoman epitomizes this, I think:)

Omg so true ...its happened 2 times ..had no clue the guy even liked me ..and that was just this year.
Ave to that man! ;) Ave as to the Cezar once

This is true!

Even almost 35 years later, I can still remember cranking this puppy up to 10 and driving around town with the windows down!

That's f****** awesome man
The true power of irreplaceable, inimitable, genuine music ... yeah, I hear that: meaningful, true feelings. Rock on, sexy.
Yep, we little Englanders can produce some decent tunes.
While other rockers were playing around with their synthesizers during the 80's, these boys were going strong.

Another Kick Ass song from start to finish by The Cult. Ian Astbury has such a powerful voice on this song- as well as Love Removal Machine.

It took you a week to get a ticket in a car like that?? I think someone was looking out for you

Thanksgiving 2022 is when I found this gem 💎 it's been on repeat since this is the song I sing before work all the time now
What a song and what a band a lot of talent to bad the new music from today is nothing in comparison

@@litchqueenasenath5995 What's this about a Norwegian lich now?
I feel the same about a lot of 70-2000s music, but there's a lot of good stuff too.
Love love this song ❤️💙
Omg!!! Still so freash!! Way better than any garbage they make us listen to these days!!! The cult!!! They are timelessness!!
Right after "smokestack ligthning baby",that where the solo takes place, love the fricken solo

Billy is BOSS. Greatest guitarists ever. So underrated put him against anyone.
Pick a CULT song and listen to Billy blew um away.
Me and my family love The Cult my, family has loads of The Cult records and CDs to plya. Our fav one is fire woman! :)
When this came out I was like... this guy sounds like Jim Morrison. 19 years later I see him touring and singing with The Doors. Amazing.
...a little. I always thought Danzig sounded like Jim

This song is you Cindy even after 42 years . I felt my world move the day I 1 st set eyes on you .
sometimes I wonder if Jim Morrison and Ian are the same person.
Well that was his idol lol
Ian sang for the Doors reunion tours in the 2000s.
There has probably been more brass pole dances to this song than any other in recorded history. Rightly so.
...this one is for You, 🦋Barbara Misuracca🦋❤ 🥀🦋, in NYC. 💞 ,J.L.B.😎
