I was quite disappointed to see this book despite being about the Martian civil war being so Marine heavy in the fluff. Your running through the different arcana and a mention of the different colour schemes in your previous video's comments has sold me to take the plunge, buy the book and try some of these out on a future Cybernetica army that I'm designing. Thank you!
Thanks for watching mate: I do think there’s some great things in there just could’ve pushed the boat out more, hope you enjoy the results as the mech army will be fun if nothing else!
Techno-Arcanas look.. meh, at best? Was hoping Malamina would be the Traitor version of Malagra, but no luck. Nekrotech looks interesting, but I'd love my one (and most of the time - the only) Archmagos to do something other than eat boolets for his lads.
I’d love to see a video of Max just trying to read a mechanicum book and trying to pronounce every word! I vote they change it to really simple words so I don’t have to explain every rule with a 5 page lecture
Freaking wish I could use Scoria in this whole picture.... And I 100% agree on most of your points, I do wish we could have used those deamon engine cyberthuergic powers on other Automata
I know this is a little off topic, but you start off comparing to Archimandrite. I think Archimandrites biggest bonus is actually using your prime or Arcuitor Magisterium giving BS 5 to something like a paragon of metal Calix. I also think Macrotek as the allies is great as you get to move a piece of terrain and make automata only be able to be breach, rend or exoshock on 6s. Which if you can buff a castellax in a unit then as the wound pool is formed before saves. Then until that model dies from a previous attack from another unit. The unit in essence has that rule.
Definitely another approach; Phil plays achinandrite a lot, I just like having the scoring blob and safety bunker to hide in from having cybernetica tbh (after taking a bunch of wounds protecting thallax)
@@BearfootMiniatures remember as the tech priests auxilia in macrotek become troops. That is 10 ablative T5 wounds you can put around a prime for around 100pts. As guardian automata can always take wounds for you. Additionally give them all servo arms (which granted puts it to nearer 150) then if they charge an enemy that is 40 S8 attacks from the little dudes
The only problem with aethertek is on the proscribed model gains the malifica cyberthurgy which is annoying cause original and cyberthurgist could have that ability set
I'm so excited about robot zombies
The Mechanicum army always reminds me of Warhammer Fantasy Undead.
Very helpful review. Looking forward to more mech content 👌

100%, an easy to remember name definitely needed, and I think that vid idea may just be ticked off by this series on the Civil war book…

Another great vid.
