I think you should put a nice covered deck on the front of your home and a half covered, half open one on the back. Both would be nice for sitting out and drinking coffee in the morning when the weather is nice.

Great update! You may want to have that door near the floor’s soft spot checked. My guess is the door is leaking somewhere meaning you’ll continue to have issues there and with money you’re putting into new flooring it would be worth it having it checked!
