    *A harmless man is NOT a good man. A good man is very dangerous man who has it under voluntary control.*
    This entire videoclip is gold, and the goldest part of it is this statement above.
    After 0:44 I wondered who was he talking about when he said "Milosevik" only to realize in a second it is Miloshevich who is being mentioned here, despite my confusion for saying that ex Yugoslavia was part of the Soviet Union, which it was not.
    The problem with his targeted victims is exactly the fact that they were weak and naive while thinking of themselves as "good people" for being such harmless snowflakes.
    No wonder their ethnic group is despised even today as they remain almost the same as they were 30 years ago. Nobody respects someone they can beat up. It's nature's law.

    When Greta Garbo watched Jean Cocteau's beautiful retelling of this story in his 1941 film, "La Belle et La Bete", at the end, when the Beast was transformed into a prince, she shouted out, "Vhat haf you done to my beautiful Beast?!" I felt the same way when I watched the film. As a friend of mine said, "I have always wanted to have a big hairy [actual] animal who is stoked on me!" The standard ending of the story is just an embarrassed evasion of the real desire.

      In my view, Belle was a female who did not respect or care for the mainstream value structures, and the Beast was the same.
      Belle valued uniqueness and loyalty above the mainstream value structures (of good looks, money, social class, and basically her status among other villagers).
      Hence why the Beast, possesing these, rated high in her value structures. This is the true message of the movie for me.
      Only in looking beyond the value structures that society presents to you as the most valuable, and taking into consideration those people that others consider Beasts, will you be able to find someone with the qualities you value/desire. Don't disqualify based on reputation nor appearance, judge them yourself.

    • @Ward777592011890
      @Ward777592011890 5 лет назад +3

      I have thought about this as well. In the story, appearance is misleading and true value is only within. But when the occasion asks for it, the beast defends Belle against a herd of wolves for which he gains Belle's trust.

    • @aquilaaltaire3007
      @aquilaaltaire3007 3 года назад +6

      @@jeryjack I disagree. The beast possesses money and social class. He's a prince in a castle. He's filthy rich. When he turned back to human, he's handsome! He possesses all the structures humans value. We can argue that Belle didn't go for that when she was with him, but it's not a coincidence that the man she chose just happened to have all three (looks, status, and money).

    that fable only addresses successful engagement of a mate. what about the rest of life? surely the mother archetype is the ultimate - even though the doctor's previous point about dysfunctional nurturing is very apt.
    now, exactly how useful is telling girls about making good choices, when they are so prone to reject culpability for every bad choice and its consequences. it's that irresponsibility that undermines relations across the board.

      if analytic methods fail, you can always get a brute force approximation to the area under the curve, by, for example, superimposing a grid and then just counting the number of squares of that grid which are dark and multiplying that count by the area of an individual square

    Some of these fairytales are cosmic, rather than social.
    For instance, Snow Whiite is the snow-whiite moon who is followed by her seven dwarves - the Moon followed by the seven planets that follow the moon in a long line around the ecliptic.
    The evil witch is the Milky Way, who is being outshone by the glamorous snow whiite moon. So she puts a corset on snow whiite, to make her thinner and thinner, until she dies. Just as the waning moon gets thinner and thinner in the heavens above, until it ‘dies’ (the New Moon).
    But just as the moon dies (the new moon) she kisses the Sun-prince in an solar eclipse, and comes back to life as the waxing moon. And remember that a solar eclipse can only happen with a ‘dead’ New Moon.
    Snow White is a tale of the Cosmos.

    So who can be civilized?

  • @elizacragun4697

    Kind of a circular argument that a non-threatening man is the most threatening? Perhaps what he means is that the most dangerous man is the one that confuses being in control of the external world with true power? Beauty and the Beast is a very interesting story from a Christian perspective since it touches on what might be the overarching theme of the entire Bible: taming the beast within (except "beast" may not mean exactly what we think it does). JP frames it in terms of Carl Jung and Enlightenment but it appears to be the same idea. Beauty has two different kinds of beasts within, and comparing the two can be quite instructive. They both have a reason to want her for their own self interest. One ultimately does gain what he wants because he is willing to sacrifice it for HER interest. The other actually ends up destroying himself because he can't let go of his self interest.

    • @nzbg1132

      But Gaston is not a beast for he is not dangerous. He is simply handsome and rich but also a douche. While you could make the point that the beast is a douche too, he is also dangerous. In other words he can back himself up. You can see it in the real world too. A lot of people going to the gym are using steroids to get big but they're not the guys that are getting all the women because they're taking the easy way out and aren't becoming much more dangerous. I also believe that Gaston isn't interested in the beaty but rather the idea of having her. He doesn't know her personally, the only thing that sets her apart to him is that she isn't interested (and for good reason too).

    That’s all well and good, but how exactly do you know what it is you’re capable of that’s terrible?

    • @Gamer-fd3id
      @Gamer-fd3id 6 лет назад +1

      Imagination helps with that. If you can imagine yourself being mean to other people when necessary and if you feel good about it then you are capable of hurting others.
      If you can tell your best friend to fuck off when he does something you don't agree with then you are capable of being mean. It means you are not afraid.

    • @InceyWincey
      @InceyWincey 6 лет назад

      Insanity Perhaps I have misunderstood, but it seems you are saying that the ability to hurt people in some way is what he’s referring to, whereas in your example, if your friend does something wrong and you pull them up on it, that’s not exactly being mean is it, it is supposedly helping them and not hurting them after all.
      As to hurting someone when necessary, I don’t understand the notion that you should feel good about it?

    • @Gamer-fd3id
      @Gamer-fd3id 6 лет назад +2

      No you did not misunderstand me and you are right my example isn't all that good.
      In my example I'm trying to illustrate that you are capable of hurting others as long as you have enough motivation to do so. Trick is in the motivation.
      Sometimes you will argue with someone and hurt his feelings because you believe truth is more valuable than his feelings. Sometimes you will punch someone in the face because he is being mean to your little brother. Sometimes you will beat someone nearly to death because he was harassing your loved one or even worse, outright kill a person. And who knows what you would do if you were given even more motivation.
      Jordan B. Peterson talks about being able to do what you feel is right no matter the consequences. (Sometimes you believe what you are doing is wrong, but your feelings tell you to do it anyway, revenge is one of those things). Jordan B. Peterson says that there is no difference between a monster and a nice guy, the only difference is in the motivation they both have.
      In my life it just means being able to stand up for yourself. That's the quality of the beast. It's the ability to disregard other people if the situation demands it.
      And you are right, it's not exactly a good feeling. Hurting someone when necessary can make you feel... justified? I'm not sure how to describe that feeling, it's not exactly a good feeling but it's not a bad feeling either, it's a weird feeling. I think you feel good because you know you did the right thing, but you feel bad because you hurt someone. For example I can be mean to a person who refuses to take responsibility for his problems by pointing out that he is the cause for his problems, that's when I have this weird feeling.

    • @InceyWincey
      @InceyWincey 6 лет назад +1

      Ah right I see.
      Well, I certainly have the capacity for that, I think then perhaps my problem is that I avoid it too much because I try to find a less objectionable way to solve such problems. Excepting the case of defending someone from physical violence, it’s pretty difficult to stop that without actually laying hands on someone.
      I think I get what he’s saying now, thanks bro.

    • @tomharner83
      @tomharner83 2 года назад

      How do you know what you're capable of?
      Step up and live life on that edge for a bit... Push yourself... Learn a martial art... Sleep outside... Hunt, kill, butcher, cook, and eat an animal... Build something with your own hands... Stand up to a bully and don't cower away... Man up and ask a woman for a date... When it's serious, ask her father for his permission... Be there for your child no matter what... Live up to your word... Don't lie... Be their for your loved ones when they need you.... when they're sick... When they're dying.... Be the person people can rely on at your father's funeral...
      Choose to be a man, and you won't wonder about what you're capable of for long.
