I think the point here is that we shouldn't even see Kiko trying to play a Malmsteen song in a music shop to accompany a bassist... Kiko can clearly nail this song because he can play stuff much more fast and complicated than that in his solo repertoire. Here it seems that he doesn't remember the song well to play it properly. Would any of you like someone to post a video of you trying to play a song you barely remember, just because a friend asked you to play it? The whole thing sounds like this in my opinion, so this video is clearly taken out of context and irrelevant.
he didn't remeber the song...just tryied to play this because someone asked...it's very clear. Try to play something u don't play for ages without any practice before..
Embarrassing that anyone would put this up. He's not in his element clearly and would probably cringe watching it back. It's not representative of who Kiko is as a player.

hey tordah90 Kiko is great, but when did he EXCEED Yngwie? WHen has anyone ever heard Kiko on the radio, not that there are many radiostaions that play Yngwie anymore but what has he-Kiko done? Let the guy earn success, copying an idols style and learning some other styles does not mean that he has exceeded anyone.
@PaulGilbertIsGod2 so I'm not allowed to prefer neoclassical guitar playing to Kiko's style? I don't think that makes me deaf, it just means I have different taste in music than you do. Nobody can play neoclassical like Yngwie can; when you hear him play, he's instantly recognizable from his phrasing and vibrato. idk where you get that he's sloppy, but that must be some illogical bias or something. I love Kiko, but Yngwie is the one who made this stuff popular and relevant and still does it best

I'd like to add my two cents, when you get to the level of master's like , kiko ,malmsteen , Gilbert, etc they all deserve respect !!! Michael Angelo Batio said it best , I can play anyone stuff I can't play it better I can only play my version of it and that coming from one of the best on the planet!!!! They all have their own style and I would gladly like to play a qtr as well !!!!
99,9% das pessoas que estão malhando o Kiko aqui não tocam neim metade do que ele toca, e outra ficar comparando o cara com guitarrista X ou Y é perda de tempo, cada um tem seu estilo, timbre e etc, o cara ta no Megadeth é reconhecido mundialmente pela sua arte e talento.
Vejo o pessoal falando mal do Kiko mas o cara excepcional , não sei se vcs notaram Kiko não estava lembrando a música , na primeira vez que ele fazia a parte dá música ele errava mas na segunda o cara já saia destruindo , se ele tivesse parado um minuto pra ouvir a música ele a tocaria com as mãos nas costa , Kiko é muito superior ao Malmsteen no quesito técnica , tem certeza que se Kiko fosse de outro país tinha certeza que iam o considerar um guitarrista , lendário , mas já que nasceu no Brasil tem um monte de trouxa que nem toca guitarra e fica falando besteira nos comentários , comparando Kiko , com Slash kkkkkk Kiko está anos luz na frente de Slash , por isso eu falo .NÃO SE MISTURE COM ESSA GENTALHA TESOURO

If the bass player and Kiko practiced the song a little they'd have it down. The song ain't that hard for today's shredders.

Kiko and Yngwie are both amazing guitar players and musicians... No comparison they're just great!
