For the non-Norwegians:
Backstory: This joke is based on a real news story in Norway. Famous skier Petter Northug was caught driving while drunk, crashing and running away, leaving his friend in the front seat. The newspapers were writing about it while the investigation was ongoing, being all cryptic about "who it was" before they announced it was Northug, so the joke is that the police in this video are finding "clues" about who did it based on typical Petter Northug things, like a ski suit (we call them "condom suits" as slang in Norway. Red Bull, keys to the house of a model he was rumoured to have dated, protein bars, a membership card to a poker website bc he plays poker, etc. (Oh, and he loves insulting Swedish skiers he competed against, hence the DVD. Hilarious).
Translation: Journalist at Aftenposten newspaper (Mette Bugge): "And after a while, the police managed to discover/trace that it was Peter Northug who had sat in the driver's seat of that car". Title: Who can it be, episode 3: Fyllekjøringen (translation: The drunk driving). Journalist (Petter Moen Nilsen) at NRK (Norway's national broadcaster): "They had probably followed some clues". Headline of newspaper article: "The police: We have an idea about who was driving".
I was wondering who can it be - so thank you! :D
U is da man! Thanks dude!
Thanks !
Thanks! But I must admit, I'm a little bit disappointed - I thought the background would be more interesting.
@@Tarsiculus Well it's satire, so if it was more interesting, it would lose it's whole point
By the way "hit and run" usually means there's a third party involved, so might want to edit that (OP) x) afaik he only crashed
"it must be he" is the second best thing after rhyming "high" with "technology" and "today".
lmao bringing old good memories
@@smartboyfromR
memoree for me
hahaha genius
Yes omg im so glad someone else loves that. Now I only pronounce today as "to-die" and technology as "technolo-jai"
The third being the guy who hasn’t finished elementary school and doesn’t “know who I are”.
DENNE BLE FORT RELEVANT IGJEN
The suspect carved his name in a tree "it wasn't me"
Can we take a moment to admire how pretty and clever this song is?

I love how YLVIS made a new genre with this series, and I loved all the episodes aired on TV.

I don't like country music at all and Ylvis is so good I didn't even notice the classic country style!

Blue eyes Vegard

Who can it be, again?

Please make the other episodes available on RUclips too... I cant access Dplay from the UK
use any VPN manager for your browser, and be happy
zhopatarakana well, vpn is not even available in some countrys, so, not that easy.
They are all on Spotify, 4 Stories of Norway episodes, some norwegian though...
There is something called tunnelbear that you can view content from other countries from, it works really well.
to anyone that sees this not sure if it possible now but i did find the entire series on a well known pirate site. so you can dowload it from there if you want the series. My favorite episode is when norway almost started WW3

Does somebody know the names of the ones who sing the part with model Aylar Lie and "the suspect carved his name in a tree"?
their voices are absolutely great
I wish I did! I don't recognise these singers, but they are sooo good!
It's my cousin who sings "the suspect carved his name in a tree"
Andy91 hva er navnet hans?
Filip Nicolai Haarseth Han heter Petter Kraglund.
Han spilte i en kortfilm som heter Bitter Lemon. Det er det eneste jeg kjenner til bortsett fra Ylvis - Stories from Norway
Well, who was it?
2 mins, 2 short
What genre of music is this?
Good
he ... ? but who is he ?
Any of you have any idea from what western song is this inspired from?
Xl Coj is just a classical Broadway act style.
Johnny Cash and Marty Robbins, classic USA country artists and some of the Westerns of that time period. Like "Rawhide".
Good, funny but confusing.
So, what news story is this based upon? :D
Norwegian skier, olympic gold medal winner, and celebrity Petter Northug was driving under the influence.
This song is from a concept Ylvis tried out, called "Stories from Norway" where they made a number of documentaries about true stories from norway, in the style of comedy musicals.
And this is Petter Northug's story over two episodes where they cover his DUI, stint in jail, his reuniting with his family, and eventual rise back into people's good graces.
This particular song is of course a "men of the law"-style of song about the police investigation following a car crash where the driver had gone missing.

Really disney like music, dont you think?
who is he ?
Arjan Lamers petter northug
norway the land where cans are bottles.
joost who bottle it be
joost
Did you just assume their objectivity?! 😡😠😡😠
Hoo Dini i would neveeeeer!
Their prop guy probably bought the wrong thing and they just went with it. We do have red bull bottles and not just cans.
I mean they needed Redbull for the joke (a lot easyer to get cans then bottles of it here)to make sense and bottles fit better for the lyrics then cans so ez to understand why.
