My porch has two Posts 10 ft apart and one 4 ft apart. Each end of the railing, top and bottom, would attach to the post. Its a small Porch but my husband is disabled and needs the railing to keep him from falling off the porch. If i had a 10 ft section I could do these myself. 😢
Hi, Thanks for reaching out to Trex! My apologies as we do not have any 10' railing sections. I attached a copy of our 2024 railing guide for your review. Please feel free to contact us at our customer care department at 1-800-289-8739 Monday through Friday 8am-5pm eastern-standard time. -Trex Customer Care Team online.flippingbook.com/view/324127770/18-19/
When assembled, from the decking surface to topside of upper rail should measure extremely close to 36” and 42” heights respectively. From the decking surface to underside of lower rail should measure approximately 1.975” for both 36” and 42” rail heights. Happy building!
Use a non-ferrous metal blade. A ferrous metal blade is for cutting steel and isn’t the correct blade. And yes, you can use either post type with Trex panels. You can even use a wood 4x4 with Trex composite sleeve. (Note: brackets don’t come with the panels - so if you aren’t using a post with premounted brackets you have to buy the bracket packs separately)
Hello. Thank you for reaching out with this great question. The top railing is longer with the Signature Railing System, providing an option for the crossover post application. To learn more about the crossover post application, please visit our Resource/Literature Center: www.trex.com/customer-support/trex-owners/downloads/ or reach out direct. Someone from our Customer Care Team will be more than happy to assist. Kind Regards. -Trex Customer Care 1.800.289.8739 | customercare@trex.com

Do the preassembled railing kits come with brackets for mounting on different newel posts, such as 4.5” composite?
