Love these vids. Been playing GBL every season since it started. Never reached rank 10 (aka Legend rank now) in any season but always get fairly close. Right now I'm stuck between 2200-2400 and just can't break that barrier. Anyways these vids help me to break down what I'm doing wrong and how to improve so thank you so much for your hard work!
@@KyuriousBot Same, jump up to 23-2400 then go on a bad streak, hard counters for 5-10 games straight and next thing you know I'm back at 2000 lol. I watch vids on various channels and find my gameplay more sound and technical than some submissions yet they are always higher ELO than me. Idk what to do haha 😄 🤷♂️
I had the same problem in great league, but then i found a new team, gaining ~300 points(politoed abomasnow alolan ninetailes), then ultra came and i lost that points, but now i have made them back and i also increased my score. My advice is to take it slow and take a break if you lose a lot
It’s not really about skill but having the right Pokémon (via spoofing, luck, p2win etc) and being favored by the algorithm. I’m better than plenty of players in the 3 K range, yet I’m stuck at 2600. Dustin made legend by goofing around and making every wrong decision. Meanwhile, I continuously make great reads and plays but end up hard countered and completely without a win condition. It’s rigged.
I really like these cups for practicing these advanced strategies. With such a condensed meta it makes it much easier to guess what someone has in their back line or to catch moves etc. Compared to something like ultra premier having only a handful of mons is great for this.
I definitely have a preference for this type of content. It seems like the difference is quality versus quantity. In other videos I might be able to watch more battles, but might not necessarily understand what is happening from a champion’s perspective. In my journey to improve this series is really going to help. Love all your content. Thanks for the support!
This team really helped me to get to 2250 rating but after that I started to encounter more and more fighting types, sometimes even both in one team and this team struggle really hard against straight power-up punches. So I decided to change it. But still very decent team, thanks for covering it in the first place :-)
Great video, you talk about timing and how to throw your charge move, and i saw that every time that elcttrod comes against mola with charge ready you throw it right away, instead you can do waterfull before throwing and lose only 1 turn
Another advanced strategy: try to force CMP tie and LOSE, DO NOT TAP, the game will freeze for 30 seconds before activating your charged move. Yes, I have defeated some opponents by forcing this lag. It was discovered by another redditor weeks ago, and OMG it is so useful. Lose lead/switch against grasshole? You can still win in some scenarios. Regaining switch advantage is not strictly necessary even if being hard countered with this neat little trick.
Do you all think they are going to keep these fun cups coming whenever pay to win league is out? Or is it just happen that they are lining up for when master league is out?

The only fast move my opponents will always 100% sneack in is Charm...it is SO weird, even when they start the Charm animation and you throw, they get in another one for free that appears in the middle of your charge move above your head....

Dragon breath is a 1 turn move which is how long it takes for each dragon breath. Incinerate is a 5 turn fast move, so 5 dragon breaths could get in during 1 incinerate
Each fast move has a duration of time that it lasts. Each move is divided into half(0.5) second "turns." Waterfall lasts 1.5 seconds, Confusion lasts 2 seconds. So it takes 4 Waterfalls to reach 6 seconds, but only 3 Confusions. Keeping track of these turns can allow you to control how to deny extra turns to your opponents. For example, using Confusion, if you throw 2 before a charge move, then the opponent is in the end of their 3rd Waterfall, as you have used 4 seconds to their 4.5. On the other end, you can throw at one Waterfall to be at 1.5 seconds to their 2. By having opponents locked in their fast move animation when your charge move triggers, it allows you deny extra fast moves and their ability to switch out.
