- George and I had a lot of fun with this early morning breakdown. After some work find out what was wrong we nailed it to a bearing failure.
Then spent the rest of the morning fixing it!!!
Day shift ran smoothly and got Dad out on the spreader baiting for mice!
New sub, many years ago I lost a collegue who received 90 % burns when the petrol he was using to clean harvestor parts in the field ignited, he wasnt standing near the can at the time and never new what ignited it, he lasted 1 weak before his internal organs shut down. I can tell you it is the fumes that build up under your clothes that ignite, you burn from the inside out, in his case only the areas under his belt and his boats where left un burnt. Please buy a can of kero or betterr a non flamable solvent for cleaning parts something with a very high ignition point, mix a bit of deisel in the kerro so you dont get chemical skin burns. If I can prevent one accident using this exsperiance his life will not have been waisted, he was 27 with 2 kids, dont let your kids grow up without you.👍
That's not good at all! Will defiantly keep that in mind!
Awesome video again. Good to see you getting up at 3 to go and do repairs to keep the seeder going.
Great Video JH
Beautiful sunset 🌅 JH
I love the writing on the window of the Ute. Wed 5pm, Thurs 7am @ Thurs 5pm. True workman's office
Good video, I like your calm methodical troubleshooting approach! Nicely done
I definitely owe that to watching dad and how he delt with issues
Good luck fixing the auger in your air seeder tank JH and George

Great to see George correcting his English to Aussie - Plastic😂
Fantastic videos! Please keep doing them!
Awesome, thanks for this.
Nothing more exciting is going to happen today…..famous last words lol best of luck.
good effort, at least it was dry for the repair, hopefully some rain soon, forecast for Perth tomorrow is 31c.....
Awesome work
Long day with a very early start. You wear many hats around there as you do it all!!
always the tricky breakdowns during nightshift!
I know! Its just typical!!
that bearing is a imperial size bearing
metric bearings will only have 3 numbers and imperial have 6 numbers so example
imperial will be 205-014-2rf so 6 numbers and
metric is only the 3 numbers
metric 205-2rf and the first 3 letters represent the bearing lock type so will be either o-centirc lock or taper lock or grub lock
G'day JH you Excell your self with your videos mate there's no bullshit with you do you get any time to be at your house don't see much of it going to take a holiday soon first 1 in 30 years I might head your way drop in and see ya anyway safe farming mate 👍

Tom's Brook Farm 👍👍👍
Have to grease them bearings every day brooks , coming from western Canada running 5 of those, the fertilizer eats the shit out of every, every morning an evening grease it good 👍
Yep, once a day we grease the whole machine. Think I will move to replacing those bearings every year or two just to make sure they are all sound and I'm not waking up at 3am to fix it!
@@tomsbrookfarm the tank i would grease 2 times a day , augerbearings, dont be scared to give em a good shot of grease, the fertilizer just eats the shit out of them bearings , we change ours ever season , auger an belt bearings ,
Love your videos buddy 👍 keep up the good work , got some canadien buddys that watch ya to haha bloody good content mate 👍
Cheers!! Glad you are enjoying it!
What's the mouse bait product you're using? I farm in western Oregon USA, we have terrible problems with Grey tailed voles. Zinc Phosphide is labeled for use but it's not at all palatable to the voles so not very effective.
Good luck with the season ahead!
We use a product called Dead mouse. And it is just the same a zinc phosphide bait.
Gidday JH, loving your videos. I noticed that the audio was a bit choppy this video whereas it hasn't been in previous video? Perhaps an equipment issue?
Yer sorry about that, I have no idea what happened. Only found out once it had gone live.
Audio is fine on the file I have on my computer, but somewhere between uploading it something has happened to the audio! I hope the next one is fine otherwise I’ll have to change something.
@@tomsbrookfarm Was still an awesome video mate! Just wanted to point it out so you were aware of it. Hopefully it fixes itself for the next one!
Keep it up mate, always get excited when I see a video uploaded from Tom's Brook Farm!
Can’t you change your Dynamic setting to Static for the lower rate products. We are running it on Static anything less than 20kg/ha. (Snail/Slugg bait)
Yes you can, and that's what we have done. This is just how the Bredal guys have told us how to get it setup
@@tomsbrookfarm no worries mate. Keep up the good work and awesome channel.
Where In WA are you located? Im currently working in Wa seeding and would be keen to look at a job next year
We are in the Esperance region
Hey JH, any chance you can let us know what the demo bar was?
It was the iPaddock Alpha Disc
put some real grease in bearing not the rubish vaseline
What model Garmin you running there at work mate?
It’s a Fenix 7
ANY JOBS GOING
