I can't wait to make these! I asked for Bramble Berry gift cards for my birthday :D And thank you Anne-Marie for teaching me everything I know, I'm using soap and such as a way to raise money so I can go on a France trip with my school. I couldn't do it without you!
Anne-Marie...could you please make a few suggestions for ingredients of mineral make up with out the shimmer and sheen? I actually prefer a matte look. The pearly/shimmery/sparkly sheen look just accentuates my eye wrinkles. Thanks so much!
You really are soap queen 😊🌷 I have a question, I have seen so many videos on RUclips of people making eyeliner using activated charcoal (which is food safe sold in drug stores) can I used that too? I heard that our granmothers used to make eyeliner using deactivated charcoal as well. Have tried that?
Anne Marie- Since watching this I started making my own eyeshadows :) They're great, but the colors fade or migrate throughout the day even though I use a primer. Do you know what I can add to make it longer lasting and smudge-proof?
That's really weird. Why on Earth would anyone else besides you know how you ended up HERE (not "hear") at this video? What kind of comment is that for a makeup video? Lol. Leave it to Anne-Marie to still give a positive response, though--what a trooper she is. (smiles) Keep up the good work, Anne-Marie; you have a great energy and I enjoy your informative videos. I will be dedicating a thread to your series on our forum. Thanks a lot and have a good summer. :)
Hi I love this kit, cant wait to get it :-) do you have any make-up to use as powder or something? Like a base for my face? Because i have maks from my acne and well it makes me very uncomfortable
what if you were to add a natural preservitive to the eyeliner? like grapefruit seed oil? how long would it last? or what preservitive would make it last longer?
I just got in my kit & I'm a bit confused. The book shows eye shadow base recipes, and then it goes on to list simple eye shadow recipes. What's the purpose for the base formulas? Do you make the base of your choice shimmer/matte & add whatever simple eye shadow recipe you want to that, or do you just make each recipe as stated without mixing any of the base to it. I don't want to screw anything up & I'm anxious to get started :) If making Lg batched do you add the whole recipe of color to base?
thats liquid eyeliner, do you know how to make a pencil eyeliner? :) my friends are giving presents to each other... i wanted to give them my fizzies i make, these two eyeshadow and eyeliner, and also the small holiday candles you guys made ;) what do you think?
The mineral makeup kit is no longer available, but we have a great selection of eye safe micas on Brambleberry.com. You can find them here: www.brambleberry.com/Eye-Safe-Colors-C678.aspx
how can I get my shadows to not feel so chalky? I am trying to make a matte with some shimmer black eyeshadow with black oxide and a little black mica and I've tried making it with so many different bases and have had no luck. I am waiting on my kit from brambleberry to come to help with some recipe ideas, but my order is still being processed and I'm trying to have something made in time for my sisters bday. if you have any ideas I would really appreciate it.
Sericite really helps! It's a mica that feels soft on the skin and adds "slip" to your eye shadows. That helps them go on more smoothly. =) Sericite: www.brambleberry.com/Sericite-P3603.aspx
Soap Queen TV thank you so very much! that made a huge difference! i did use sericite in my blend but didnt use much of it out of fear of it making it too shimmery but it actually didnt! i added more and turned out beautiful! thank you so much!!!

+Soap Queen TV Thank you for responding quickly...I've been watching videos on how to press pigments to make pressed eyeshadow. you mix the pigment with alcohol (if it already has a base) and press it into an aluminum pan like those that name brand shadows come in. sorry I don't know offhand any pages I've seen it on. you can buy white base and mix with micas or minerals, add a binder and alcohol. you press with a paper towelsnd a coin to soak up excess alcohol and once it dries you have a pressed shadow...just wondering as to possibly start 100% from scratch.
+Ms1Loba Thanks so much for clarifying! If you like, you can mix these shadows with alcohol to press them. We have done that with this Rose Gold Cosmetic Collection: www.soapqueen.com/bath-and-body-tutorials/rose-gold-cosmetic-collection-eyeshadow-lip-shimmer-nail-polish/ We did find the shadows dried pressed, but as soon as they were touched they did loosen again. Hi! How much is one mini scoop in teaspoon values. I placed my order on brambleberry but forgot to add in the scoop. So, help please!
Hi Anam!
The scoop measures .15 CCs, which is about .03 tsp, so a very very small amount! It would probably only be a dot in a 1/8th teaspoon. =)
Your website does not have this set anymore and you still have the video playing on you tube. Could you please update?
