  • Daniel Roy was a 5 time All-American at Stanford, where he holds the team record in the 200 breast. He was the 2017 Junior World Champion in the 200 breast. In mid-March at the Federal Way Sectionals, just two and a half months into his comeback, he dropped at 2:09.57 which places his 7th in the world in the 200 breast this year.

Yo! So happy to see his comeback. I still remember wanting to see him swim in a Cal Standford dual meet, at Berkeley, back in 2021 but had already retired. Wishing the best!

This guy ended up the better 2breaststroker than Whitley.

Wonderful interview. Thank you Garrett, for getting out to interview Daniel after what I know was a long week. Well done to your team.
And thank you Daniel for sharing your truth and your story, and showing people that there’s always a choice to change, and there’s always value in trying again.

Couldn’t have done it without God.

congrats, great interview, some great swims at the first night of australian age champs, highlights for me were, joshua conias 50.06 16yrs 100 free, annika silvester 1-01.67 13yrs 100 fly, max cunningham 55.71 14yrs 100 fly, also interesting to see flynn southam winning his age 400 free which should help his 200 at trials.
