  • Parkinson’s disease (PD) is a complex and diverse condition. To assist in expanding your knowledge of PD, Parkinson Society British Columbia will be hosting three webinars in this symposium series, featuring talks from global experts.
Dystonia is a condition that affects people living with Parkinson’s disease by causing varying degrees of involuntary muscle spasms, repetitive muscle twisting, cramps, stiffness, and pain. In this session, Dr. Alfonso Fasano, movement disorder specialist and associate professor from the University of Toronto, will discuss the causes of dystonia, as well as its presentation on a daily basis and throughout the stages of disease progression. He will also examine potential treatment options and pain management techniques.
** Thank you to Sunovion for sponsoring the Global Symposium Series. **
