Amazing video with your kindness inviting your friend to El Salvador 🇸🇻🙏 praying that will happen that you can travel back to the pulgarcito de Centro America now our new El Salvador thanks God and our presidente!!! Remember mi casa es su casa también!
what I have noticed about tamales de elote in some places the USA.They make them from sweet yellow corn ;so they look yellow not as molidos and taste sweeter than the ones in EL Salavdor that tend to be milpa grown corn and are whiter and simpler hence the use of cream and many times acompanied by coffee . .The American sweeter versos are more like sweet corn bread or the yellow sweet corn arepas COlombiana they sell in the USA Corn tamales are the latin cousins of cornbread lol
Congratulations, you are a salvadorean.....you eat pupusas like an expert....I love when I see videos likethis....I live in Québec, Canadá with a Canadian and she loves the pupusas....She wants to eat it every weekend...Is really expensive for me😂😂😂...She is addicted to the pupusas....
Great video! Have you tried the rice flour ones? I like them better. Also although I know it's a sin I prefer not to have the flaming hot cheese lava on my fingers 😂
lol, I eat them for breakfast, and I’m Salvadoran, with a fork and knife😂😂😂.The best place is on Hillcroft and Bellaire, la pupusa loca, we always get it to go, all other places I find them bland. Thank you.
There is a close relationship between Guate and El Salvador, Central America was once a whole country, from Chiapas, Tabasco Mexico to Costa Rica, every state became a little country. The capital was in Honduras, at the time the president of the central american confederacy was Francisco Morazan. But guess what, El Salvador wanted to be independent from the confederacy. So they separated. General Justo Rufino Barrios general from Guatemala invaded El Salvador, trying to keep the confederacy together, but he got shot at the valle de Chalchuapa, dying with his arm shield Adolfo V. Hall, making the guatemalan army stop the invasion. So the confederacy desintegrated, making Chiapas and Tabaco join the Mexican confederacy and every other state became a country. So it is ironic, that Bukele is wanting to unite the confederacy again, he says it will make us stronger economically, but I think it is imposible. Adolfo Hall now days is the high school military academy in Guate. La torre del Reformador the one that look like the little eifel tower in zone 9 in Guate city was built in remembrance of Justo Rufino Barrios. Now days there is a strong touristic visiting of guatemalans to El Salvador and salvadoreans visiting Guatemala, everything is ironic, we had our wars, but frienship has never been lost. There is more between this two countries, but I leave at this.
Actually agua de Jamaica o Fresco de Jamaica, is a drink that from Mexico to Central American Countries we all drink, is not from Jamaica I don't think they drink that in Jamaica is just the name of the flower.
My grandmas pupusas were dry she would crush serrano chiles and beans best I ever tried. I miss them she’s 97 now so I don’t ask anymore to make them she’d make a baby pupusa for my little brother. That’s what the Curtido is for.
Que tragones son los gringos pensé que no comían por que siempre que los periodistas les preguntan algo de algún grupo deportivo siempre responden que no comen
Hey I have a question do you know the Mexican rice beans and like a meat with like a hot sauce but it’s not really hot bc I’m trying to think of the name and I can’t figure gur it out
If you come to Los Angeles and want to make a video about Salvadoran food you have to go to Vermont Av and 11th St and also Olympic Blvd and Union at Icuracao store parking lot ( on weekends)
Las pupusas😋 He probado en muchos restaurantes de Houston pero mi lugar preferido para las pupusas de arroz es en "los pipiles" 😁 Ubicado en veteran memorial dr
So fun seeing you get the salvi food in TX, I lived in South Dakota while I was in college and it was super hard finding it. The tamal was a fresh tamal, that's why the texture LOL. I saw your previous episode when you were at Planes de Renderos and I believe you had them fried. Looking forward to seeing you back in El Salvador some time in the (near?) future :D
I just got back from a great 4 1/2 day trip to El Salvador. Thanks for the recommendation! Honestly wouldn't have considered it if not for you and Backpacking Bananas raving about the country. Really enjoyed all the pupusas, but the Santa Ana volcano and seven waterfalls hikes were insane! Beautiful country and I already can't wait to go back one day :)
