First: The DragonForce-vibe you've got results from Herman Li and Sam Totman taking part in the songwriting of this particular song. They even played some of the guitar parts for the studio recording. But: BABYMETAL has an extreme diverse portfolio of songs. Hardly two songs are of the same kind. So this performance gives you only a small glimpse of what the band is about. BABYMETAL was founded in 2010 as part of an idol project called Sakura Gakuin (Cherry Blossom Academy). In 2013 they parted ways with SG and continued as a band. BABYMETAL originally consisted of Suzuka Nakamoto (aka. SU-METAL, lead singer), Yui Mizuno (aka. YUIMETAL, backing vocals and dance) and Moa Kikuchi (aka. MOAMETAL, backing vocals and dance). In fall 2018 Yui Mizuno left the band because of health issues. BABYMETAL officially is a duo since then. They are supported in their live shows by immensely talented musicians called the Kami-Band (band of gods). BABYMETAL already has five albums out. Three regular studio albums ("BABYMETAL" rel. in 2014, "Metal Resistance" rel. in 2016 and "Metal Galaxy" rel. in 2019) and two live albums ("Budokan Red Night Apocalypse" rel. in 2014 and "Live at Wembley" rel. in 2016). If you're planning to do another reaction to one of their songs (which I hope so), I suggest you do *"Ijime, Dame, Zettai"* live at Sonisphere Festival in the UK in 2014. This gig was their first massive exposure to a western metal crowd and a massive push in their carrer: ruclips.net/video/Ro-_cbfdrYE/видео.html P.S.: "Kawaii Metal" a genre founded by BABYMETAL means cute metal. P.P.S.: This performance was the closing song of their second world tour kick-off-show in January 2015. The girls were 17 (Suzuka) and 15 (Yui and Moa) back then. P.P.P.S.: I enjoyed your reaction!
Steffen Jachnow yes, awesome closer, but this show began an hour and a half earlier with one of the all time best versions of Megitsune. The intensity never let up all the way through.

Thanks Steffen for modifying your expression. I've just noticed. You may think I do not like DragonForce. On the contrary, I love them. Actually, after Babymetal Wembley arena concert luckily I met DragonForce members and exchanged a few words at a departing lunge of London Heathrow Airport. I was on my way home to Tokyo while they were on their way to Tokyo for two nights concert at Shibuya. separate flights though. I have deleted my previous post. Again thanks. pbs.twimg.com/media/Cgc_c8xVAAQjpxD?format=jpg&name=900x900
that is how a 17 year old girl with two of her friends, show how she is more metal than most metal bands and she has control of the crowd like no other girl.
Prepare yourself. The Babymetal fanbase is about to descend upon you. Don't worry, they are super nice and generous with information about the band. I suggest Ijime, Dame, Zettai: live at Sonisphere. Great music on that track and a beautiful story behind the performance. Welcome to The One 🦊
@@Detrucci This one will get you back to 2014, for their first western metal festival, on main stage, in front of +50k europeans metalheads, most of them not knowing anything about them. They ruled the stage.

There it is !! The WTF moment when someone sees Babymetal for the first time...You even said it. First time Babymetal reactions are my favourite thing on RUclips!! 😁
Herman Li has said it was great to write a song they didn't have to be able to perform live themselves. According to him this is by far the hardest to platy they've ever written.
They knew the Kami Band could handle it. Then Dragonforce did end up playing it live themselves for the first time when BabyMetal won as Breakthrough Artist in the Metal Hammer Golden Gods Awards. They did a great job with it, though (as you said) they realized that they had notched up the difficulty more than usual. I hope they collab again soon, since they did say that it was very enjoyable and they'd like to do so. :)
BABYMETAL is always better than you first expect it. That's why I've become a fan and that's why I'll remain a fan. That song reminds you of DragonForce for good reasons: they helped write that song in the first place ! They were amongst the first ones to help and support this heavily talented band. The story of this band is so deep that there's no reason for us to start now, you'll learn along the way ! Just remember that when they first started out, they got a lot of hate and the bookmaker of download festival in UK (one of the biggest metal gathering in EU) first said : NEVER BABYMETAL but unbeknownst to him the guys from DragonForce let BABYMETAL in one of their concerts there and thus began an era of world domination. They've won best live acts from Kerrangè! and MTV and the likes and there's a reason to it : they're just AMAZING. If you thought this was amazing, wait til you get to more songs ;).
Babymetal is pure unadulterated metal joy; I don't know how anyone couldn't have a smile on their face watching them perform, but to each their own. Glad you liked 'em at least, Detrucci.
They started as pre-teen girls in a school themed idol group (Sakura Gakuin) and now they just hit #1 on the Billboard Top Rock Album chart and #13 on the Billboard Hot 200 (highest ranked Asian group of all time!!) with their latest album "Metal Galaxy". Love'em or hate'em, they can not be denied. Put your Kitsune UP!! Po!
@Detrucci - For a bit of clarification on the timeline, Sakura Gakuin was formed in April 2010. So it was barely even a handful of months before BabyMetal (the Juuonbu Club) was formed as one of its sub-units in the same year at some point soon after Yui and Moa (who had both actually been with them since the start) had been officially made the first "transfer students" into the group in July. BabyMetal became independent of Sakura Gakuin upon Su's graduation from that group in March 2013, while Yui and Moa remained active with both groups until they also graduated from Sakura Gakuin in March 2015 (Yui is only two weeks older than Moa, and both of them are a year and half younger than Suzuka). BabyMetal and Sakura Gakuin are still both going strong. :)
No trolling, they are just the most unique and entertaining band ever! "Kawaii" means something like cute or adorable. They basically created this genre on their own by fusing cute J-Pop with all sorts of Metal, while also incorporating other styles like Reggae, Ska, EDM, Waltz, Hip Hop or Dubstep along the way. And somehow they manage to combine all that flawlessly. Add to that the awesome musicians, the great voice, the uplifting smiles, the energetic dancing, the loving crowd and the cool stages, and you have a pretty perfect performance. I'm always glad to see Metalheads smile and enjoy them. They get a lot of flak from Metal elitists who won't have their precious Metal they have known for 30 years being stained by girls' voices, choreographed dancing or happy smiles, or who call them fake for having been born from a talent agency. Which is just sad and ridiculous, because if you watch this it's just undeniable that there's some serious talent and passion at work here, nothing fake. The girls were 17 and 15 when this was recorded, if I'm not mistaken. You are right about Dragonforce, their guitarists contributed to the writing of this song and even played the guitars on the album version. Having said that, this song doesn't have as much J-Pop influence as some others have. So please don't expect all of their songs to sound like Dragonforce. This is a great performance, but they do have some more unique songs, too. For example, check out the song "Megitsune", if you are interested: ruclips.net/video/cK3NMZAUKGw/видео.html
Im actually glad all their songs dont sound like dragonforce ahaha. As much as i like Dragonforce as a band, one of them is enough for me. Excited to see what is next with BabyMetal
dude! ... that original flag is a really really rare item in BABYMETAL Universe , not many fans have the early Babymetal flag. enjoy your journey to Babymetal Universe :)
Good reaction, it was good to see the smile on your face develop and then remain for the whole song and performance ... and more importantly it was clear that was a genuine smile and you weren't forcing anything. Obviously no band will appeal to everybody, but if you do get BABYMETAL you're really in for a treat. They are unlike any other band, every song is different but still clearly them. They play virtually every type of metal including speed, power, thrash, black, death, prog, folk and so on but also mix in other musical genres - most likely when you least expect it. Some songs lean more towards their pop roots, others more towards metal and then there are most shades between - there is something in there for virtually everybody which is possibly why their fan base ranges from young girls who look up to them as role models and cos play as them at concerts, to teenagers of both sexes, to hairy, bearded metalheads, to parents who can finally go to concerts and genuinely enjoy the same music as their kids, to middle aged couples to grizzled old blokes who've heard everything since the 1960s and are so happy to have finally found a band doing something new and unique - and of real quality. Depending on your own tastes and preferences etc some songs may appeal more than others. Personally I don't believe they have a bad song - I do have my own favourites, but they will be different to the next person's favourites and theirs will be different to the next person etc and maybe one person will have my favourite songs right at the bottom of their list. I would just recommend you follow the suggestions you already have for more songs to react to ( when you've done them the recommendations won't dry up) and find out for yourself which you like more/less. Live performances is where they are at their very best (not saying the official videos are bad at all, a couple of them are particularly good, but BABYMETAL is first and foremost a live performance act).
I could tell by your smile that you were really enjoying this video. You will not find a more supportive and loyal fan base than the fans of Babymetal. I am happy to subscribe to your channel and I cannot wait to see more BABYMETAL reactions! To answer a few questions, the concert was from 2015. The lead singer (Su-metal) was 17 at the time and the two singers/dancers (Moametal and Yuimetal) were both 15. They are quite popular; there were 20000 people in attendance at the time and their following has only grown since then; they did two back to back sold out shows in 2017 at the Tokyo Dome with 55000 people in attendance each night! Some other great songs to react from Babymetal are Headbanger, Karate, and Babymetal Death.
Just came to watch the reaction one second time... this is actually from what I consider the very best performance of Babymetal (Saitama Super Arena 2015) ...the whole show is mind blowing and Road of Resistance is "only" the crown, the cherry on top!
Babymetal has opened for Metallica, Red Hot Chili Peppers and Lady Gaga. Rob Zombie likes them and defended them from the trolls. This was the last song of about a 1 hour performance, could you dance like that after an hour of singing and dancing? I'm going to recommend an early one, Megitsune (official), with a test; when in the song does Su-Metal say "Maidens are not to be underestimated"
Awesome reaction!! I discovered BABYMETAL last year and haven't looked back. I was fortunate enough to see them play live at that very same venue (Saitama Super Arena), although not for that same concert (I'm not THAT fortunate). But they did perform this song and they did cut out the music and let us all chant for a few seconds. It was an amazing experience. Their shows in general, are an amazing experience. I think "KARATE" official music video ruclips.net/video/GvD3CHA48pA/видео.html would be a great follow up reaction to this song. But, really, you can't go wrong with any of the other suggestions. Their music is that good.
Thanks for choosing to react to BABYMETAL, they're amazing! As someone who is new to the group, I thought I'd give you and your followers a little background on them. BABYMETAL is a Japanese Kawaii Metal group consisting of (for the most part) SU-METAL on lead vocals, YUIMETAL and MOAMETAL on backing vocals/dancing, or "SCREAM AND DANCE" as they like to call it. I say 'for the most part' as Yui & Moa have a few songs that they do as duets without Su and Su has a few songs she does as solos whilst Yui & Moa take a well deserved break. They were formed in 2010 as part of the idol group Sakura Gakuin, before touring on their own in 2011 and have gone from strength to strength. They started singing to backing tracks with actors in skeleton suits pretending to play instruments (known as BABYBONES) but soon incorporated the Kami Band into their concerts, bringing them in full time at the end of 2013. The Kami Band consists of some of Japan's premier musicians on rotation based on availability. The most popular configuration consisting of Takayoshi Ohmura and Mikio Fujioka on guitar with Leda Cygnus as stand-in, BOH on bass and Aoyama Hideki on drums. These are the people you will see most often in videos. Since the untimely passing of Mikio at the end of 2017 they have enlisted the talents of Isao Fujita on guitar. At the end of 2018 YUIMETAL left the band because of health problems and in 2019 there are 3 girls named AVENGERS that will take her place in a rotating manner. Below is a list of some of their best performances that I hope you will consider for future reactions. Should you decide to do more BABYMETAL reactions in the future, you should be aware that RUclips will block almost all videos that incorporate audio. The best way round this is to mute the video and provide a link that we can open in a new window and sync with yours. Just give us a countdown before you start playing it. The BABYMETAL fandom is very used to this way of doing things. ===== BABYMETAL ALBUM BABYMETAL DEATH (Legend 1997) ruclips.net/video/jRc9dbgiBPI/видео.html BABYMETAL DEATH Legend S drive.google.com/file/d/1YF06RceMufeKYBqN5OXRSgI8aEww-6Xu/view?usp=sharing Megitsune (Legend 2015) streamable.com/v7w18 Gimme Chocolate!! Yeah, Herman Li and Sam Totman helped write this song, and played on the album cut. Babymetal and Dragonforce are good friends; once at Download Festival in 2016 and again at a Metal Hammer Awards the girls fronted Dragonforce for a couple songs. Akatsuki and Ijime Dame Zettai are two good powermetal songs by Babymetal. And another good Japanese metal band is Maximum the Hormone
Great reaction! Always fun to see a "first reaction" to them! As noted below, they are quite diverse and if you continue listening to them you will find that they mix different music styles....and it works! I would suggest "Megitsune" next ruclips.net/video/cK3NMZAUKGw/видео.html. It is an official video (though live is almost always better with Babymetal)...but it is a great video. Enjoy the ride....and welcome to Babymetal!
"they most be famous." - a little, yes "they look like they are 15", you are not wrong. Because that's what they are in the video. :-) "that's insane" - yes, it is "stadium" - well, arena, the stadium was well over a year later. ;-) This was 20 000 people, no fans.
Any other Babymetal song won't have that Dragon Force influence. I'd recommend Ijime, Dame, Zettai (live at Sonisphere 2014) for a great song that's all their own. Impressively, you guessed their age perfectly. The two smaller girls were 15 at the time of this performance.
You just got a new subscriber. Man, honestly, this is one of the most humble (and one of my favorite) reactions I've seen. I'm so glad that I clicked on your video. Let's see which songs you have reacted to so far! 🦊🖤
FIrst metal band from Japan, eh? Well, in that case, you are gonna be going on one hell of a trip ;) Aside from metal, they ahve a lot of reaaaally good bands at the moment. #reaction You should chck out BAND-MAID : Play, live. They are an incredibly hard-rocking, all female, and very talented Hard Rock band from Japan.
...as I said before... Watch Road Of Resistance live in Japan before you watch or listen to anything else from Babymetal. This is mighty impressive ... and your reaction says it all. The joy of watching something as powerful as this is a great feeling. Then you may or may not like other stuff from Babymetal... I for one love them and song after song, loved all of what these 3 girls done. Now it's probably a nice thing to react to BABYMETAL DEATH, Legend 1997 and watch SuMetal crucified for her 16th birthday!! How does that sound? :-D ... and then there is a whole bunch of awesome jaw-dropping moments to check out ( Yui flying over Moa, paintings of Dead (Mayhem) offering a apple to a guy from Stryper, the awesome Metrock 1015 crowd response, Kami band awesome intro of Rondo Of Nightmares, 4 no Uta at Budokan Black Night, the BlackBabymetal, and so on and so on...) Loved your reaction with a smile that got bigger and bigger as the song progressed... Thumbs up! Please keep it up reacting to more Babymetal every now and then :-D ...Cheers, Peace and agressive headbanging!!
You're just in time for the 22nd annual 12 Days of Suzuka starting on the 8th. Su-Metal's birthday is Dec 20th (coincidentally, 1/4 of the total current members and graduates of Sakura Gakuin were born in December). :D
Your supposed to ease yourself into BabyMetal not blow your mind with Road of resistance first reaction 😱. Your supposed to Start with there early stuff . Watch it go WTF this doesn't go with metal but it's catchy then usely Karate and think hey this is really good THEN do Road of Resistance , to late now but it made for a hell of a good reaction . As usual the One ( us the fans) have descended upon you with loads of info . Well there is quite a few names in comments who allways give good info .fingers made of metal with amount of typing they do . So i will just suggest Ijime Dame Zettai live at Sonisphere. Reacting to BABYMETAL will mean your likes go up by about an extra 20,000 or so in a week! Enjoy the journey down the Fox Hole (that will make sense soon, I promise, if you read your BABYMETAL fan comments, as we will explain everything about the BABYMETAL universe). Great reaction! You clearly 'got' the band straight away and hats off to you for spotting the Dragonforce input. And for actually saying What The Fuck! That big shit-eating grin on your face has been me all week. I listen to all genres of music except country and modern rap. Discovered this group 6 days ago thanks to youtube feed being random and I have been deep diving them since day and night. They took a genre that had gone stale and was being overrun with too much either gothic or growling and breathed life into it. I haven’t had feels like this about music since the 80s. I regret not knowing about them six years ago.
Spot on mate! I think the audience total was 22k! Me British mates Herman Li, and Sam Totman - Dragonforce - collaborated on this song playing the guitar tracks on the studio cut.
They are now in the second generation (referred to as a new era) of BabyMetal since Yui Mizuno retired for health reasons. Most think the World Tours and fast-pace was getting to her (also my opinion but no formal announcement as to the reason or aliment was made, except for her to say she wanted to pursue other things). Only the Fox God knows .. 🦊🦊🦊 The answer given many times by them to certain questions by the foreign press as it is easier, and more acceptable then trying to explain their Shinto beliefs to people who may not understand them and look at them crazy .Evidence of this is seen in some of their earlier interviews. To me Yui-chan looked tired in some of the interviews they did during their world tour. Some of the original die-hard BabyMetal fans were devastated that Yui-chan was absent and eventually named as an ex-member with no explanation except for health reasons, and it was hard for them to accept the changes with the announcement of the 'Chosen 7' and a rotating 3rd member. Also along with Suzuka Nakamoto these three still at a relatively young age had been together for many years going back to Sakura Gakuin ( owned by Amuse Entertainment)-a sort of a Idol training with sub-units, doing things like, cooking, music, acting etc. ) which they all graduated from. There are a lot of of these classes, dance and singing recitals, cooking classes they did and other projects on You tube if anyone is interested in exploring them. Sakura Gakuin uses a Limited growth period unit, meaning when a girl reaches a certain age (when she graduates from Junior High school), she has to leave the group. Every year new girls join the group. A sub-unit of the school- the metal music club formed by Suzuka with Yui and Moa as members and with various connections through Key Kobayashi (Kobametal) a Japanese music producer under the same talent agency Amuse Inc who had seen of Suzuka when she was with Karen Girls. He wanted to a form a J-Pop / metal group and BabyMetal was born. it was was decided not to disband ( thank you !) BabyMetal after Suzuka-chan graduated Junior High school in 2013 and therefore had to graduate Sakura Gakuin as well. BabyMetal remained intact with Toy's factory under a sub-label BMD Fox Records. After Yui-chan's departure, and the announcement of a rotation for the 3rd member with an alternate-group called "The Avengers" who Riho Sayashi was a part of (from Morning Musume-and seen now as the accepted permanent member) and also a friend of Suzuka-chan, both from Hiroshima and together attended the 'Hiroshima School of Actors'.The New Era was born with the Metal Galaxy album. Moa Kikuchi said of this: [quote] "We've incorporated different types of music into this album and we hope that fans are able to feel our determination to a new departure. Also, although people from all over live in different environments, I hope that with this album, we can bring more people together as one" . [ end quote ]..'PA PA YA' as well as 'Shanti Shanti Shanti' are songs she was referring to with continuance of their mission 'The One' in the new era...🦊🦊🦊 They are not like any other group of this kind with a deep spiritual connection (Kitsune ) to their music. The color red for Kitsune and good fortune from him are often represented in red themes in Baby metal concerts and Music Videos. Torrii are also seen in their MV's and are gates for the Gods to enter the temples in Shinto religion. The Japanese festival of Hatsuuma is the feast day of the Kami (deity) Inari Ōkami the Fox God (Kitsune) who the members of BabyMetal believe they receive their divine guidance and power from to perform. The girls have actually stated that they do not remember all that has happened on stage during these spirit guided performances. The hand fox sign they use, has been used by those on Kitsune floats in festivals and Noh plays ( Traditional Japanese theater) for centuries. Megitsune is actually the name of a Shinto temple and is represented with the stage in the MV that looks exactly like the inside of the temple. Road of Resistance and The One unintentionally (fate?) became BabyMetal's swan song to the end of an era. They say in Shintoism that Inari Ōkami is a mysterious God. Inari is not mentioned by name in the Kojiki - an ancient chronicle of Japanese mythology which is the closest thing Shinto has to a sacred text. They lost guitarist Mikio Fujioka (Kami Band) to an accidental fall off an observation Tower around the same time as Yui-chan was absent from the group. It was time for a change and the beginning of a new era. I miss Yui-chan and no one will ever replace her. BabyMetal is no better or worse now because of the change. Just different.
Watching BABYMETAL is like getting punched in the face by three kawaii Asian girls, and you know what I'm ok with that. Its times like this when you realize three kawaii Asian girls are more METAL than you. SU-METAL is our GODDESS QUEEN and an IDOL LEGEND. When all is said and done these girls along with the avengers will go down in history as some of the greatest IDOL LEGENDS alongside the first generation of girls from the IDOL GROUP AKB48. STAY BABYMETAL STRONG, AND MAY THE FOX GOD BE WITH YU...
Unfortunately they may have peaked. MoaMetal saw the writing on the wall . She knew she was never going to be SuMetal and left the group. Also one of the guitarists died from a fall from a rooftop stargazing. If you want to see what they were like in their heyday check out some of their better Music Videos like 'Karate' or 'Gimme Chocolate'. Probably the best representation of their live show is the LIVE Compilation of 'Catch Me If You Can'.
You´ve been assimilated. Resistance to BabyMetal is futile! Welcome in the Foxhole and the Family mate! One of us.........one of us.......one of us...............
"Road of Resistance: Live in Japan" always reminds me of the first time I saw the video of Judas Priest performing "You've Got Another Thing Comin'" at US Festival. The charisma of SU-METAL, I believe, resembles to that of Rob Halford.

I had to stop it at 4 & 1/2 minutes. From there I went straight to the end for your opinion. It sounded like elementary school girls singing, and that drove me nuts. I still refuse to give a thumbs down on your channel though, cause you're still awesome.
The girls were 17 and 15 at the time. They are now 20 and 21. Can you imagine being able to command an audience like that at 17. The lead singer Su is definitely a soprano.
Interesting. Most people comment on how powerful Su's voice is, how incredible the performance is, how great the musicians are... but you say they sound like schoolgirls (which they were) and that that drove you nuts? Is metal only allowed to have men screaming and growling?
floridabelle an opera stage director reacted to this song and raved about the singing ability of the lead singer Su. He said a lot of singers could learn from her on how to sing before a large, loud audience. Another vocal coach did a reaction to the group and said "my life is complete" when talking about the excellence of Su's singing.
First: The DragonForce-vibe you've got results from Herman Li and Sam Totman taking part in the songwriting of this particular song. Again thanks.

that is how a 17 year old girl with two of her friends, show how she is more metal than most metal bands and she has control of the crowd like no other girl.
Thats the power of Our Queen Su! And thats one of the many things why we love her 🦊🤘❤
I like it when people smile while watching babymetal
I couldn't imagine not smiling during their songs, with the exception of No Rain, No Rainbow, where I tear up every time.
Thank you :) I look forward to it :D
@@Detrucci This one will get you back to 2014, for their first western metal festival, on main stage, in front of +50k europeans metalheads, most of them not knowing anything about them. They ruled the stage.

Sonisphere was BABYMETAL's first overseas metal festival. The three girls opened the door of fate in a 30-minute set.

Go for Rondo of Nightmare, with Mischiefs of God intro next.
This! After this, Headbanger from Legend 1997, then Death from Legend 1997. that will get him down the fox hole good enough.
I also think this is good for you next time.
Of course, this can be another.

Po!
I think its the same with all of the best bands... people hate them but you cant deny them because it just works :D
ハマりましたな・・・後は飲み込まれるだけです!
And another face melted by the sheer awesomeness of Babymetal!!🤣🤘
Welcome to the world of Babymetal
Welcome to the real madness of Baby Metal.
You have a huge list of songs to react for sure.
I look forward to it :)
Thank you for this :) You guys are amazing at giving the backstory. I really appreciate it.

Much love from Colombia
Ijime Dame Zettai live at sonisphere 2014 next. That one is for the ages
Just came to watch the reaction one second time... this is actually from what I consider the very best performance of Babymetal (Saitama Super Arena 2015) ...the whole show is mind blowing and Road of Resistance is "only" the crown, the cherry on top!
Yeah the performance is stunning when you consider everything. The flags are the cherry on top for me. It's such a commanding stage presence
People's first reactions to BM are always fun.
I think "KARATE" official music video ruclips.net/video/GvD3CHA48pA/видео.html
would be a great follow up reaction to this song. But, really, you can't go wrong with any of the other suggestions. Their music is that good.
If you look at your facial expression, you can see how you feel about this song.
Truth :)
Oh Respect you who chose BABYMETAL!!

Damn 6 days ago? That's amazing. Discovering new bands is one of the best feelings

Unfortunately they may have peaked. MoaMetal saw the writing on the wall . She knew she was never going to be SuMetal and left the group. Also one of the guitarists died from a fall from a rooftop stargazing. Drummer is dude
Kami band needs to be better appreciated.
Kami band is amazing 👏
I had to stop it at 4 & 1/2 minutes. From there I went straight to the end for your opinion. It sounded like elementary school girls singing, and that drove me nuts. I still refuse to give a thumbs down on your channel though, cause you're still awesome.
The girls were 17 and 15 at the time. They are now 20 and 21. Can you imagine being able to command an audience like that at 17. The lead singer Su is definitely a soprano.
@@LouieGrandie Doesn't matter. Just not my cuppa.
Interesting. Most people comment on how powerful Su's voice is, how incredible the performance is, how great the musicians are... but you say they sound like schoolgirls (which they were) and that that drove you nuts? Is metal only allowed to have men screaming and growling?
Try Rondo of Nightmare before you write them off.
floridabelle an opera stage director reacted to this song and raved about the singing ability of the lead singer Su. He said a lot of singers could learn from her on how to sing before a large, loud audience. Another vocal coach did a reaction to the group and said "my life is complete" when talking about the excellence of Su's singing.
