- Rishi Sunak is facing calls from Tory MPs to “act now” to bring down net migration, as new figures showed that it hit a new record of 745,000.
Revised estimates from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) put net migration to the UK in the year to December 2022 higher than previously thought. However, the figure for the year to June 2023 is estimated to be lower, at 672,000.
In a strongly-worded statement, the right-wing New Conservative group of MPs demanded action from the Prime Minister and his Home Secretary James Cleverly.

My parents have had their council bus passes ceased by the council, for cost saving measures, this kind of stuff is happening all over the country to citizens who've paid in to the country and been here their entire lives. I've just seen some videos by DJE media going around filming immigrant hotels. One stood out being run by Nigerians and housing non English speaking men from Iran. This is illegal trafficking. Other parts of country showed holiday inns filled with migrants and security guards were migrants. Each migrant is given a free bike which were all parked outside. This is a huge security alert that needs to be taken seriously, especially after the recent hate marches. I'm so angry. It's disgusting 😠

If I remember correctly British nurses who trained for years gave up because the N.H.S. wanted nurses from abroad who hardly trained at all because they were cheaper to hire. The whole reason we are here now is because of previous government policies to sell everything off and get cheap labour and not pay for it. Who wanted cheap labour and not professionals well guess who. Sir Tony Blair thank you for everything you have done for this country. Knighthood deserving. Luckily we had Professional Armed Forces to protect our country not an imported one. Though I would guess that most of the new nice people coming into our country would like to fight for us. Which I doubt. Still veterans to the back of the housing queue we have more important people to house. I know this because this happened to me when I left the Army after 22 years service. I was told to go back home and I am English.
This is exactly the point, it's not just about numbers, cheap labour has driven down salaries and standards for everyone. I worked for a prestigious company that behind the scenes employed student immigrants who knew no better, didn't know what they were entitled to or who cared too much as they only stayed for 6 months before moving on, they wanted to say on their CV they worked for a UK prestigious company so accepted all sorts of underhand conditions and the company got cheap labour, I know because I had to waste my time training them for months knowing they'd be leaving. In another job around 35% couldn't speak english, when problems arose they deleted, ignored or just walked away from it, causing major headaches to sort out. In 3 yrs (before pandemic) our overtime pay went from double to zero because the company employed immigrants who were cheaper, not because the company was struggling in any way.

The Treasury openly supports mass migration because it allows the government to massage GDP statistics, and gives the false impression that the economy is growing. Treasury needs to be taken to task.
How about petitioning the "government" to provide land reserved for the natives. After all, this has been granted to aboriginies and american indians on their ancestral lands, so why not for native brits?. Perhaps it could be called "the true brit reservation". I read that the state of Texas along with 25 other states have came together to secure the Southern Border. Some American states are not taking this anymore. In some areas, Texas have kicked out the feds and have laid down 3 rows of razor wire. Supporting states have sent National Guard troops to help Texas guard/patrol the border. I saw a video of people coming across the Rio Grande river and were expecting to be allowed in. The National guard troop told them no. The soldiers told them they needed to go to a legal port of entry. Then, told them they needed to swim back to Mexico. They did. The American's are tired of the disrespect and lack of assimilation.
So, there is now a 750.000 people's army in the UK now one big problem...

In 2001/2 there were roughly 600,000 foreign students in the uk, now if each one was allowed to also bring there families, I heard a university head say if we didn’t let them bring there families that they would go to another country, it’s like blackmail, let them go elsewhere that’s what I say. 🤷♂️

In Canada, we had a system years ago for those who were collecting unemployment insurance.
It was mandatory that they apply for jobs with proof and dates. These were submitted periodically and checked. You could not refuse a job or you would be cut off. This needs to be reintroduced.
This is already the case here in the UK
The problem is zero hours economy and a possibility of loosing the job instantly.
The other thing is that benefits are more less adjusted to the real life costs, wages not.

I'm a British man whos always paid his taxes. I've fallen in love and married a wonderful moroccan woman. We married this year in September, I've never been happier. She was coming here to work and contribute, we were planning our lives together. Now my life and hers will be destroyed. As a car technician I don't make 38k, with both of us working we would easily clear 50k which is enough for a couple to live a basic life together. Just because I'm not a Dr or Dentist I'm going to have my hopes and dreams dashed to the side, made to feel worthless and have my heart smashed into pieces. This is inhumane and unfair!
Ime beyond annoyed with all this when our young people and homeless are on the streets ! It’s not like they integrate ! The government doesn’t put its own people first and I’ll never forgive or forget it they have ruined the country I grew up in ! I hope Prince Charles can house more of them on his estates and be nice with them like he’s told us to be he’s a WEF traitor !

If you make some barriers for international students you need to close most of the universities in the UK. I know that most of the classes in almost all universities are international students from generally Asia. They are paying high tuition fees and accommodation costs. They are the main source of the UK universities. If you want to study in the UK you need to pay around 50.000 per year which are the most beneficial than average UK tax payer :)
