Hello I'm Parnika~ the Indian girl in the video. thank you for watching the video well^^ I'm from Karnataka, Bangalore specifically so what I shared is something that's custom to me as I can't represent all of India,
I had mentioned that we don't get served butter chicken and naan but it was not included in the video, we don't have a choice of choosing what food is presented nor do I have the power over the editing process of what part of the conversation is added and what's not, I meant to say Akshaya Patra but I got confused and said Akshara dhama, I apologise for it. please look at it favorably, thank you!

Your answer were good but one thing they keep dragging is eating with specific hand, yes it was like that in ancient time and that's how it became tradition, but there is no rules currently and jet spray are more commonly used now, it's like asking them how they used leaf for certain things in old times.

Hi, I think you did a great job! No body can fully represent all the facets of India in such a short time. You being from Bangalore, I imagine Idli, vada, utthapam, appe, rasam and rice, curd rice etc. would be more common there for breakfast. Your explanation on using the hands was also great. The slip of tongue of 'dhama' over 'patra' is understandable. I guess you confused it with Akshardhaam mandir of Delhi. Looking forward to you, Yukta and other flag-bearers to represent our country India in the future too.

    Here's an interesting fact.
In Brazil, we also have nutritionists in schools, who are responsible for preparing the nutritional plan and menu for students throughout the school calendar. Furthermore, if a student has any dietary restrictions, such as a gluten allergy or lactose intolerance, simply inform the school management, who will provide a personalized meal to meet your needs.
As determined by the National School Feeding Program, schools are strictly prohibited from offering students food with a high content of sugar, fat, preservatives, colorings, syrups, as well as soft drinks, artificial refreshments and foods with low nutritional value.

The food at schools in Brazil is also planned by a nutritionist so... And, at least in the public schools where I studied, the salad was planted by the students, and the fruits they used to offer were always from family farms of the city, and we used to have a different menu like twice a month that was made by one restaurant (they donated it for all the schools in my city), it was a kind of "fish soup" made with vegetables and tilapia (it's a fish).

I don't know how old the german girl is, but when I was in school, 15 years ago, the school lunch wasn't free, in grade school or elementary school, you paid a certain amount to the school for lunch in advance.
And from middle school to highschool, the food was never free, you could buy your lunch (and also breakfast) at the cafeteria

The kiosk at our private Catholic school was also very expensive. Some of the food was even cooked by other school children who had cooking lessons,
and the teacher would then choose what was cooked in the cooking lessons. I tried it once and then never again. I brought my sausage sandwiches or Nutella sandwiches
to school to eat. Well . . . my school days lasted until 1995.
Today I decide what I want to eat and don't miss my school days at all.

In Brazil, it's a nutritionist who define the meals that's served. But there's a national law that defines how much calories must have in each meal, and how much protein, and sugar, etc. One thing that changed a lot nowadays is that adding sugar is banned, so the desserts must be naturally sweet (like fruits, honey, etc.)

Not sure where Christina grew up in the states or how big her school was or even when she was in school, but that was definitely not me or any of my friends experience with school lunches (except for 1 or 2 that lived in a large city and went to a huge school with better funding). I was class of ‘10 so I know it’s been a hot minute, and I’ve heard some things have changed, but my little public school definitely did not have a salad bar and had two main food choices and both would have been processed food. Rarely was a side salad an option. The veggies were usually green beans or corn. Then a roll and either milk or a essentially a juice cup.

Same. The year I left, they started introducing a new food program that had healthy options like wraps and salads. I think when it's comes to Indian lunch Paratha and aalu ki sbji or gobhi or other sbji is best to represent as Indian lunch box which is the most common lunch food in India.i don't know why they choose fancy food as indian lunch all the time 🙂🤌🏻 it's like showoff food❤️‍🩹 like butter chicken or biryani seriously 🙄 and nan which is only serves in restaurant. In daily life we eat roti which is healthy not nan which is unhealthy to eat daily 😅

I am Brazilian, and I never ate this meal in Brazilian schools in my life... it is so unreal... what Brazilian students eat per day is only 1 food a day, like: today, only rice and sausage... tomorrow: potato bread... next day: if we have luck, hot dog... I don't know where she studied... but it is so unreal for millions of Brazilian people

No lunches are “free”. They are either paid at the point of receiving the lunch, or they are paid through the school budget which is either paid by taxpayers (if a publicly funded school) or paid in schools fees (like tuition, or a meal plan paid at the beginning if the year if a private institution).
Just because the student isn’t handing over cash in the lunch room/cafeteria when they get the tray of food does not mean it’s free.
Taxpayers in Germany, Brazil, India etc and all of the countries where the lunch is “free” are paying for it.

  • @male-efficient7262

Hardly ever took naan and butter chicken in school, may be once or twice but its not an usual school tiffin. Home made egg rolls, or paratha, poori or chapati with sabzi, home made chowmein, or sandwiches. Get out of butter chicken and naan guyz, thats not a staple food in India. You guyz made India look like all day everywhere we eat naan and butter chicken. Sick and tired of this. For South Indian yall use Idli dosa and vada, there are other recipes too in India.
