I agree but i find people don't get what he was saying about not everyone likes dogs as much as the people that leave them in their will. Also didn't talk about the DEA reforming their website for cannabis because bill's precious book needed more attention then not talking about trump.

Look at the DNC emails where they quite openly take for granted that the press will do exactly what they are told by the DNC (focus on Trump in the primaries as part of Podesta's Pied Piper strategy). I was surprised to hear Bill admit to our country being an oligarchy. Meanwhile, he thinks we should continue voting for corporate Democrats even though the Democratic Party is just as much ruled by billionaires and corporations as the Republican Party. He shames Progressives for not falling in line behind the Democratic oligarchs when all we want is a system that works for all of us instead of the few rich elite.

If you dismantle the various departments, remove the need for secretaries, and reduce the cabinet then you end up with the "executive" making the decisions. It's consolidation of power albeit only in one branch. Given the gorsuch nomination and both houses under republican control, this is a goose step away from a banana republic.

Those people never sought a governmental position, we're trained or groomed for the political life, yet they felt entitled to accept these positions. That made no sense to me. @@taylormcgill6643 Well then you should have said that at the beginning; personally, I selected $19.00/hr. because it's the base required where I live for an average person to be able to raise a family of four on a single salary, without having to worry about being bled white by medical issues. It's not difficult to figure.
@@jerico641 its actually very difficult to figure since the details are very nuanced and always changing. using your number nationwide would destroy businesses in low cost of living states, rendering people's wages down to $0/hr. Theres a reason why 50/hr doesnt work, for the same reason 19/hr wont work in lets say Mississippi. 19 cant be federal. Not everyone has 4 kids. Thats not a realistic standard.

To Matt Welch: I admire your desire to, and insistence that we, maintain faith in civic institutions so they won't be undermined. However, I agree with Annabelle that an unsettling number of people don't value public service. As a bachelor of political science, I am disheartened and discouraged by the political apathy among the citizenry at large. Specifically, Trump voters and republicans don't seem to value public service. They claim to want "small" government ...so small that you can "drown it in a bathtub." They frequently exhibit distrust in government and politicians. They claim to want government out of their health care. They don't want to pay taxes. They fail to recognize, and refuse to appreciate, the benefits of tax revenue. They don't want their tax dollars to feed hungry children. They want government out of their lives. (But they want to keep the military, lol, smh.)

The only way we are going to get any change is to get money out of politics and the only way to do that is to vote for people who don't take PAC money or large donor money. The only way the Dems will start winning again is if they become the party of the people again and stop being bought off. I am proud that I voted for Jill Stein and even knowing the outcome I would do it again I will no longer vote for the lesser of two evils because they are still evil.
There is a new wave of democrats coming and they have passed our purity test and they are going to take out the old corporate Dems and take back our government from the Republicans because they are popular with people on both sides of the aisle since they stand with the people not the owner class. They are called Justice Democrats, they take no PAC money or special interest money or large donor money and are instead funded by the people like Bernie was. They are for a green revolution and against fossil fuels, they are for single payer health care, they are for free collage, they are for ending the wars, they are for ending the drug war and most importantly the are for getting money out of politics since nothing will change while both parties are being bribed like Hillary and all the others.
