A Guide to TORRENOVA: Inbetween Palmanova and Magaluf, Mallorca

- In this video, check out my guide to hilly Torrenova, located on the headland in between Palmanova and Magaluf, Mallorca.
I will show you where the hotels are located, and how to get there by bus from Palma Airport. Plus I will show you the best return bus stop for the end of your trip.
We will look around the area, check the location of Palmanova and Magaluf Strip and the beach, and find out if Torrenova is for you particularly if you have accessibility issues.
Plus we'll find out the price of taxi fares too.

There is a lovely villa for sale in torrenova, just need to win the lottery, almost had a holiday at HSM sandalo beach hotel but Tomas cook went under two weeks before the holiday
Great video, Alex. Have stayed at Elba Sunset and I have to say personally, it's one of the all round best hotels we've holidayed at in Mallorca. Wonderful decor, lovely rooms, a great pool, fabulous food and great staff. The views are also amazing, however, you won't see sunsets, but you will see incredible sunrises! This hotel is ideal for both Palmanova and Magaluf; especially close to Oceans and Blackbeard's for the best nosh around! Only downside is the trek up the hill from either side when staggering home!; it's quite an ordeal on a hot day.
Cheer Chris, and yes, they should consider renaming the hotel! No sunsets seen from here!
Stayed in what's now the elber sunset about 20 years ago that hill couldn't do it now very easy

I like to know always in advance if it's easy to take a bus in the near surrounding of the hotels 😄. And when you can hear it from someone like you who lives on the island , and also can see how the bus stops look like, that's always interesting. Thx!

My mother and I lived at Elba Sunset before it was called Elba Sunset. It was just called "Torrenova" then. This was in 1995 and it was an apartment hotel now it's probably a hotel. I think it was fairly newly built when we stayed there and it was absolutely amazing. The view from the balcony and pool area cannot be described, it must be experienced.
The next hotel on your guided tour is Sandalo Beach, where my parents stayed when they celebrated their 25th wedding anniversary. They said that even there the view was absolutely magical. And the third hotel will be the Trianon. I lived there in 1971 when I was in Mallorca for the first time as a 7-year-old. Can't remember if it was Trianon I or ll. But the view? Yes that was good.
Besides these three hotels, I have stayed at several others in Magaluf. In September it is time for the next trip. But now we are going to live in Palma Nova. Can not wait!

We try different hotels every year so booked Elba sunset this October as it looks like Beautiful views. Can't wait for the Hill 🤣
Torrenova has certainly become smarter (more expensive) over the years. It's quite a walk in the heat of the day, but the views must be brilliant.

50 years ago people were walking minimum 2 hours every day,
Nobody was obese and allergic to motion.
@15:32 there is a steep stepped slope that takes you to the BV Vistanova saving having to walk around the loop.. Really not great for people with walking issues caused by the heat or the bars in the strip ;) !! A couple of weeks ago I intended to get off the A11 outside papis but the onboard display was a bit messed up and I got off by the Dolphin Bar!! Not great as the rear doors line up with parked cars :( Quite a walk from there.. still it was 8pm and who cares it's all fun... oh except having a 16KG bag on wheels and going around the loop with it. ( Also seen @4:22 so straight up that road Eastenders & CuttySark are on and up that slope to the right of the green awning shop is the Vistanova). Going back, from the BV I went to the Papis A11 stop as I was mostly going downhill (easy with a 16KG bag pulling you)

We've just booked a girls holiday for next year staying in torrenova. Its so strange the busses don't go round there. Im dreading the hill as im not great on my legs but it was the only hotel that wasn't extortionate 😭
the trouble is the poms are there for say 10 days , dont go home refreshed they go home drained the heat can stop you from doing anything ,healthwise , better stay home and go to gym or local pool

There’s a lot of sea weed on the beaches do you have some nice beaches without sea weed all over it that you might know of!

Last time I was there the only way to get to the airport was by horse and cart. Is there a train service from torrenova to Palmanova airport Alex 😁😊

Elba Sunset hotel. We stayed 2 weeks ago for 10 nights. Spectacular views, nice sea view room. Not 5/4 star hotel. Hot food warm at best. Not enough staff. Housekeeping average at best. No bar service at the roof top pool and worst of all, management bribing customers around the pool with a free cocktail for a 5* Trip advisor review!! Scandalous. Would not return.
Stayed for 10 nights also back in August 2022. Great room and brilliant view. Thought the food was ok but we did eat out a fair bit. Drinks pricey. Only reason we would not go back is its location
