Living vicariously through you guys. I was gearing up to begin taking the family out on small trips similar to the ones you guys head out on, but the wife went a little bonkers and took my two kids and ran off. I sometimes find myself shedding a few tears seeing the innocence and joy in your daughter’s laughter and smiles.
Nice to see a dad spending some quality time w his little girl and making life long memories 👍🏻
Definitely do a "How To" video. From what I've read it is actually very simple, for some of us, but it may be intimidating for others.
This is a really cool vid for many reasons. The sense of community, technical expertise and most importantly great to see parents actually loving and raising their children.

Billy and Trena are fun to wheel with. He was my boss while putting the build plan together for that massive overland FULL size rig. Snow wheeling is so peaceful. Lifestyle Overland ROCKS.

Yes a very informative video about a small red Arc system would be great.
The High Uinta's weather is unreal. I was backpacking there during the tornado in 1999 and within a one hour timeframe, the weather turned from 65 degrees and sunny, to snowing 5". We barely had time to to find a spot and pitch our tents before we got snowed in. Such a majestic place!

I have been running MTZ'S now for 6 sets and ABSOLUTLY LOVE THEM. During a decade and a half I have compared them to friends and aquaintenances tires on the trails and they consistantly out perform any other tire. The only thing to consider is on ICY roads they need to be down to 20 psi or lower and in deep snow 10 psi is a starting point with 4 psi being PERFECT for a lightly loaded Jeep. 24 psi is my HIGHWAY pressure. What do you think about a full-size rig? Is it in our future?...
A towverlander build is definitely my next build. I wouldn't go quite as much lift as your friend, so I can still tow a 5th wheel. I'm less interested in the hardcore stuff at the point and more interested in bringing whatever I want, covering as much distance as I want, and being reasonably comfortable. If things work out well, and the 2023-24 Sierra HD AT4X with the next gen Duramax comes to fruition; that would be a great starting point.
I think that new F-150 powerboost hybrid would be a great platform with it's built in 7.2kw generator.
We just bought a Silverado 3500 and that Sierra looks like everything I've had in my head to do for years! Can you do a walk around of their rig, if they are willing?
I plan to build mine out (GMC sierra 2500 duramax) so was super excited to see your friend’s truck. I’m also looking at BDS lift but the coil over version. Would like to learn more about that full size truck build. Excellent timing to show starlink. Great video !!

The starlink is very interesting to me, I ran a alpha series Tuff stuff tent for awhile on my JK and I liked it. We used that Coleman tent I seen In your older photos in the video for awhile as well. We have since moved from using a rooftop tent. But the Tuff stuff alpha worked well.

Overland Journal Podcast has a great episode on full size trucks.
I’ve got a family of 4. The more I think about it, the more a full size truck makes sense. They have tons of payloads, can haul massive amounts of weight, they have strong axles, 4wd with high and low range, lockers, solid axles front and rear, good ground clearance and good support in North America.
You can go simple and just throw all your gear in the bed, mount a roof top tent, go with a pop top or hard shell camper or even tow a larger travel trailer. So many options.
I was on the Northside of Zion when I got snowed in (2 inch's of snow strait to ice when driven on) on the 4th of July, 12ish years ago. 30 Minutes after it finished snowing it was back into the sixties and I got to slide down the mountain.

30:25..42, psi. ?.i run 34 on tar, & 12 off..35,s. get yourself a power tank.. i have a thumper compressor, hooked to the air bag tank, 2 gall., & 2 ex fire extiguishers. pumps 3.5 tires, fast. nitto outlet side of tray.. plus my winch is on a cradle, kept in back,with receivers front & rear.. 1.0 cable, bigger the better. 100 amp agm batt. 190w panel. 3500w inv. damn,4wheelin is expensive.. my s/duty is a 4.2tdi, you never had them. brazilian..german mwm sprint tractor engine.. mine has 700nm, gets 12 lt 100. 4t truck..
tires. dick cepek fc2.. never any probs, good all round. patagonia,not the black ones. too soft. bf,allways good. maxxis..yup,you never know till you shell out 1500, for a mistake..
That rig becomes an issue when nobody is able to pull it out... seen that one too many times with Ford excursions

I just bought the trail fire. Fire pit/ cooking setup. Silver still looking good for an old gal. I'm running the MT Baja Boss MT. Had the AT on my truck. Amazing tires on and off road. My MT's are pretty quiet too

As someone with starlink at home, it's great for a lot of things, but consistently terrible at maintaining a constant, uninterrupted connection. That mean's it has very fast download speeds, but it disconnects constantly from video calls, some streaming services really don't like it, and don't even try online gaming. It'll be interesting to see if they can fix those issues, because if they can then I could see this being very useful for digital nomads.

Just turned in my Lexus Is300 sport sedan for a 22’ 4wd 4R, and now I see what the hype is all about. Can’t wait get the 4R on some trails and explore some sites.

I would definitely like to see a how to on that battery system. I'm going to need to do one at sometime sooner or later. Right now I'm using an ecoflow delta mini to eun my fridge,and it works great so far, but I'm going to want something a little better as I start going for longer and longer trips.

Pro Tip to keep warm in the cold - wrap a couple potatoes (oiled) in foil and cook in the file at/after dinner time (1+ hour cook time). Take out before bed and wrap in foil or place in sock, place in bottom of sleeping bag / bed and you have toasty toes all night long. In the morning, dice them up for hash browns...
