I still have my BigBoss 400,used on my horse ranch for many years,brought out many elk with it,huntedwith it for many years in the rocky mountains,can't beat these machines.They are very good and very dependable.
It’s a blast to now go 2 up with new seat and explore and take with you coolers gear and what every you want and need. It bridges the cap between an ATV that cant haul anything and a UTV that is to wide for most trails and you look like your are like 65 years old in grandmas off road car.
the 6x6 should be there flag ship proud to be showed everywhere can ams are on display, they should let this glorious atv shine in all 6 wheels of its awesomeness!!!
@canuckcars You can remove the rear seat and can hardly tell the difference. I believe they also make a storage box to take the seats place as well. I suspect the 6x6 will get the new chassis and 101 hp motor for 2026 so I'd wait myself.
I had a 650 6x6 and it was wonderful and I am not getting 6x6 1000 2 person. They are unbelievable fun and safe and can go anywhere. Not so much for racing around the forest and in Montana they don’t like that anyway. It goes anywhere and is way better than a side by side. Only 48 inches wide.
Polaris had the big boss 6x6 800 which could do everything this can do an maybe do it better, because Polaris had true 6 Wheel drive, something Can-am can't match. And Secondly what's your opinion on the longevity of the rear cargo box? Don't get me wrong it looks cool, but i doubt it can sustain day to day usage as compared to the perfectly good Polaris plastic dump box. It's a shame that they stop making the Big Boss 6x6 because I'm with the new 1000cc motor in it would of given Can-am a run for its money. But keep up the great reviews
Erik Desormiers Keep in mind that the Can-Am 6x6 is delivered with power steering as standard, something the 6x6 from Polaris don't. Also you're not able to remove the sides from the rear cargo box, which you can do with the Can-Am and additionally add timer stacks. And not to forget more fuel capacity and more overall weight giving the wheels more traction + towing capacity. The turning radius is also 1 metres smaller than what the Polaris manages.
That might be all true, but Can-Am had a lot more time or develop one and polaris was the only manufacturer who had a 6x6 which allowed Can-Am to make improvements on their 6x6. Polaris never had any competition in this segment and nothing to compare. I have no doubt that they made a great machine but there's also a major price difference between a big boss and a Can-Am 6x6. Which explains why Polaris had less features in stock form.
If Polaris wants to keep up in the 6x6 market they should launch a newer and improved model. I just wanted to point out that the 6x6 from Can-Am are not shit, and that I own a 650 6x6 myself. It's a great machine and I've managed to push it to 105kmh(!) all stock.
I'd still pick the Polaris big boss, for the simple fact that the AWD system is the best in the industry. No levers, button pushing or waiting for the other wheel to engage. It's true AWD and when you don't need 4x4 it shuts off! I run circles around every other quad I ride with my sportsman 500 just because I got the traction when I need it.
Tell Polaris to build one while your at it tell them to build a small light affordable trapper sled, I live in northern Ontario and this type of machine would sell well around here.

It looks quite plastic compared to the new Polaris 6x6 but i think it is the color that makes it look so plastic... My favourite 6x6 is the Polaris 425 6x6 Magnum, the "bed" on it is metal and more robust looking imo.

I used an old 2 stroke Big Boss to go moose hunting in Alaska. 6x6 is a whole new level of capable.
Blows my mind that Can-Am hasn't made this into a 2-up yet. The 1000cc version could be a future replacement for my 800cc Outlander Max if they did!!
Now they only make the 2 up ugh.

It is an awesome trail riding ATV. You can rip on it at nearly equal performance to a 4x4 and often forget there's an extra row of tires out back.
