I called tht hotline I also called the wwf hotline in the mid 80s. To get match results. My parents got the phone bill. And beat my ass👋
did you at least get match results?
I feel bad for all the people who fell for the scam. lol
Wasn't Mean Gene on the hotline too?
Like you LoL 😂😂😂😂
@@kenterminateddq5311Yup
@@gladememmott3001Nope. 900 numbers were blocked on my phone. lol
@@kenterminateddq5311 eventually
Ahh..900-numbers. I'm trying to remember if the late night sex chats or wrestling companies started them first. Either way, I was 14 or 15 and that "kids, get your parents permission " part hit home. No way in hell my folks were gonna approve such an expense.
I recently saw old commercials for 1-900 "Creepy" lines to talk to scary spooky monsters and even a dedicated Freddy Krueger hotline so I think everybody was trying to cash in on them back then lol
The wrestling hotlines in Canada were free. One was provided by The Toronto Star. The other one was the Talking Yellow Pages. So, we never had to call the American ones run by WWF and WCW. Plus, we had Live Audio Wrestling in Toronto long before podcasts existed. I’ve always been a smark. Since like age 6 😂
"I just made stuff up." She still does.
Oh yeah
Lets lock missy. Eric bishoff. Russo and cornette in a cage. For a payper view. The buy rates would be insane 👋🤣
No thanks... nobody wants to see that garbage.
missy gets to bring the loaded purse. bischoff in his karate gear. does cornette get to bring the tennis racket?
Worked the phones for two years without getting paid? Why keep doing it?
she had a WCW contract. WWF wrestlers weren't paid to go out and promote on other tv/radio shows. Not sure if they got paid for their hotline, but I bet Vince gave them something.
Exactly 💯... she's not the sharpest knife in the drawer... what an idiot.
@@takerdust lol i bet he didn’t
In the game of Mi am mi ver sus Cin cin nat ti, we must con sid er many things..
“Hurry up! Don’t you realize this is costing me money!” ~Homer J Simpson 🍩 🍺 🏈 😉
I always wanted to know what the 900 numbers were like but my parents said it'd be a waste of money. Glad they didn't let me call now that I'm hearing this lol.
poor kids were robbed and lied to. 😅😬
Made stuff up? I sense a theme in this interview
I wasn’t a fan of Missy but she is a great person and her honesty is so important to the business, from what Buff Bagwell stated how she got him into the business says a lot about her and helpful to others in the wrestling industry
Her honesty LOL huh
Getting Bagwell into the business should get her banned.
I called once. Mean jean sounded so tacky. You knew instantly it was a scam.
Ol scheme gene RIP
Missy with the same opinion of Eric as Bret does and Bret rocks. They both can't be wrong and who the hell that's halfway decent would hang with Conrad?
Arn Anderson but he left 🤣
Missy and Eric need to be guests together lol
Bischoff would be squashed like a Mulkey!
Russo has stated he has asked both Bischoff and Cornette to have a one-on-one discussion / debate with him with the proceeds going to charity, but they both refused.
@@michaelmarkowski204 ID PAY FOR THAT, I REALLY WOULD.
I'd rather hear Cornette rip Russo for an hour and Missy rip Eric for an hour. I don't need to hear from the 2 dips that ruined WCW. Now Eric had WCW going the right way for awhile but even he admitted how he would just do favors for Hogan.
@@DanlowMusic Great. Contact Cornette and tell him Russo's ready to debate. Bet he says no. What's he afraid of...?
Missy really needs her own podcast. She knows so much and endless stories. Make it happen, James
Endless lies
It also wouldn't get much views.
Please, no.
they were doing that dumb 1-900 number even towards the closing of WCW.
Can someone please elaborate on the actual source of the heat between Missy and Bischoff?
He was friends with Jason Hervey, she was dating Hervey and when they broke up I think Eric tried to protect his "friendship" with Hervey by trying to fire her or use any excuse he could to get rid of her so she sued the company. I get a feeling alot of pills, cocaine, and booze was in between all of it which made things worse.
@@popeyedoyle6360Eric's version was that she pitched a fit when he hired Sherri Martel and made a big scene in public, accusing Eric of a bunch of things in front of his wife and a lot of other people during I believe a gathering after one of the Disney tapings.
Missy Lie-att
Huge surprise Jerichovid cruise got Missy Sick
jErIChOvID 🤡
It was a parasite in Mexico, dip shit
Good grief. So she scammed people, talked about herself, and made stuff up both in (and apparently out of) the hotline. Yeah, I can see why Bischoff got rid of her.
….that was the job. Still real to you, huh buddy.
Made stuff up. Just like her recent vince story.
Shes aged awful
Vince Russo ruined WCW
No, AOL/Time Warner did not want wrestling on the network. All Russo did was make the product more nonsensical, which was nothing new. Dusty, Kevin S, Kevin N, Eric B, Bill Watts…. Were ALL shitty bookers. (Bill Watts was a great booker in Mid South but not in WCW). Flair was a good booker in 1989 and 1994 oddly enough..
