Slasher films have come a long way since the original Friday the 13th movie back in the eighties. We have seen numerous movies with iconic characters, but none more controversial than Art the Clown from Terrifier. Art actually has been around for quite a bit of time starting from the 9th Circle in 2008, which was a series of shorts where he made his debut. Only recently he has gained the national attention largely due to David Howard Thorton who plays the lead role in the franchise. Many people have panned this film because of the excessive gore and brutality of the death scenes, especially the killing of children. Anyone familiar with this franchise would know Art the Clown had murdered children in his past cinema depictions, this is nothing new. Does Damien Leone cross that line, and depict excessive violence as a form of entertainment, or has he tapped into a new genre of Horror slasher films that people want to see. Given Terrifier 3 made 88 million worldwide making it the most successful non-rated movie, it does have an audience it caters too. I think its important to remember this is only a movie, and if you do not like movies like this, its simple do not watch it. I am not a fan of this franchise, because I think its relies too much on its trademark violence and gore, rather than developing the script to its full potential. I believe Leone has stated the 4th maybe the finale for this franchise, but you never know. I just hope they do not keep this series going like they did with Friday the 13th, A Nightmare on Elm Street, Halloween, and others that had so many sequels it ruined the franchise. Terrifier definitely has hacked its way into Slasher film history, and his appeal can't be denied, yet they need to develop the plot better if Leone plans the longevity of the franchise because even excessive kills will lose its novelty and appeal with audiences eventually. One final thought. Leone does not rely of CGI like so many films have in this techno age. He actually does the old school make-up and effects that separate this movie from all the others. The old school make-up and special effects actually created by hand, and not computer, shows an art form that Hollywood has not seen since the times of Rick Baker, and for that I take my hat off to Damien Leone.
@@Ghost_Token I know it’s not canon. What is canon is that Art is pure evil. So audiences really shouldn’t have been surprised that he bombed children. He didn’t cross the Moral Even Horizon. He doesn’t have standards.

People are easily offended these days... for all the wrong reasons. Like they are somehow offended, someone is killed in a movie, but they don't care and don't do anything when kids are dying in real life. I mean, look at school shootings... kids die, but what actions are taken? Instead of banning guns, their solution is to have more guns used by inexperienced teachers? Wtf is wrong with people?
Well.. because people complain about how this was cut and blurred I have a much longer version with no cuts and no blur. But since I can't upload it here on RUclips it is only available here: www.patreon.com/posts/all-deaths-in-3-115262878?

The ones who just get shot are the lucky ones
@@joemazzello7731 Agree they're lucky that they never felt the brutal torture and pain before they die.
Art had murdered children before. His debut in All Hallows Eve, he murdered a young brother and sister, and reveled in the babysitter’s despair.
