I’ve been watching this video for months as my guide for when I sing in my schools production. This video inspired me to audition for Nala, not even kidding lol. I’ve been taking notes, beautiful voice !
I have auditions for the lion king Jr next week and I want to be Nala so I’m singing shadowland. But they said Nala is spunky. How do I portray that in my audition?? Lol
maddenreesemusic omg thankyou so much! I auditioned for adult Nala and callbacks were announced today. I got a callback for Scar, Rafiki & Adult Nala and we find out next week.💗💗
The girl got some vocals on her! I just wished the choreographer had put less motions to the lionesses as it distracts the audience from the lead. It’s hard to focus on her when there is so much movement on the background.
My Ariana Lynn performing her first musical was so good at age 10. Music has helped her shyness so much! This 14 year old is great!!😉💞💞💞 Hope Ariana does this great at 14😉
Do you also get the feeling of complete contentment when onstage? As soon as I stepped on as Miss Hannigan, I felt completely at peace Do other theatre kids get that?
@@calchmielewski9072 oh my gosh it’s been two years. and yes i loved it and i wasn’t as scared as i thought i would be. i doubt you’ll see this, but oh how time flies :)
K Makovic my director was looking for someone who was loud, could sing this song well, act scenes with emotion, and do the romance in “Can you feel the love tonight”
Your vocals are so good!! I. Auditioning for Nala soon and I have no idea how to show my teacher (it's for school) as she calls it shabazzle with this song. Any tips on movement and facial expressions??
My school did Lion King last year and the actor really put herself into the character, think of how she needs to leave, how much she loves her family. I would read the script and try to act like Nala.
Meli 89 so she can’t play the role even though she’s extremely talented? because she’s white? What if the roles were reversed and someone said that a black girl couldn’t play a white character? 🤔
royaltea the roles have been reversed for ages. There are so many white roles in theatre because of previous prejudice against black people that black people have little chances. Obviously more roles are being created for black people now but it’s no were near the number of roles white people have. Take the little mermaid, so many people got angry because of the casting decision for the live action movie even when there are only a few Disney princesses of colour so why would a white person take one of the few roles available for black people.
This is a really late reply but Nala is literally my dream role, i love everything about the Lion King and Nala. I completely respect and understand that it’s not my place to convey a culture that is not my own, so I will just be a sad superfan for the rest of my life.
@@starfire7322 I kind of agree with you, but if a white girl is more talented than a black girl and they are auditioning for a role that could be either, why shouldn't the more talented girl get the role disregarding their race??
@@shrimpbrine6519 It's bc her race is relevant to the culture shes representing. Like "In The Heights" is about Mexican immigrants and it would false to present them as say white ppl. Bc the race is relevant to musical.
I got the role of older Nala and I mean this is such a big inspiration.
Same! I hope u do well in your production

Is that shells on her outfit? First thoughts were the melanesian and polynesians. Just saying 😂 beautifully done
HI! Yes, one of the volunteer costumers sewed them on :) Thanks so much for watching!
My musical for the Lion King is next Friday (I'm Nala) and I'm so nervous for my solo..

I have an audition soon for nala how did your audition go
Aye not bad for a white nala
Azeem Ruff lol true
That’s a bit racist...
@@multi_fandom_editzz___7320 no just an observation luv
Beautiful, but to be honest she didn't make it as ethnic as it's supposed to be. That's my only complaint
Ye. I play nala in the production of lion king at my school and all the people care about is authenticity lol
Not in their control. They had whomever audutioned.
How is that their fault.
She’s amazing but won’t have the opportunity to play Nala as she’s African American she’s incredible tho

When we did this you should have seen our costumes😂😂
Costumes look beautiful!
Backing sings are not good. There's no energy in the song
