Did you wash the herbs before you put them in the jars?

No need to, just wash as you use

This is so confusing. Not the video itself but there so many contradictory opinions out there. Some say the bouquet method is the best while some say it is the absolutely the worst method and you should wrap them in a paper towel and vice versa. Some say like in this video that parsley should be wrapped in plastic bag at the top while another video said to never ever wrap it. I have seen one person on the internet even say fresh parsley should never be stored in fresh water but instead salt water because fresh water will suck up the magnesium, causing it to wilt. Some parsley in better at room temperature. Some people say that basil needs be covered as well. The only thing I have seen the vast majority of people agree on is never put basil in the fridge, lol.

@12012channel Yes. It's very frustrating that there is so much contradicting information out there. I just think paper towels, which contain chlorine and often times formaldihyde, and plastic bags can seep unwanted chemicals in your food. I think the trick is not trying to make your food last so long. If you want to you must chop and freeze everything in glass containers and use as needed.

Why not try different methods as long as you don't waste money buying jars etc? The alternative to trying none is to waste herbs that get thrown away after a couple of days. Just because there are different opinions doesnt necessarily mean only one is right. At worst, you'll be in the same position as if you didn't try.

Plastic bags and paper towels >>> bad for the food!
