Brilliant video! Woke up this morning thinking of making my own tea scoop, a little more than I can handle at the moment, at the very least I'll need an anvil, and the form for the bowl of the spoon, nevertheless its it's in the realm of possibility if not quite likely in the nearish future

The hell with the spoon! I'm currently building a coffee roaster. That will roast from 1 to 25 lbs utilizing several different interchangeable drums. I've simplified this for a complete drum change in less than 5 minutes on a hot machine. After this project I might make my own spoons as well. But the roaster has got to take top priority other wise there's no need for the spoon. And no coffee.

Hi Pete, it's stainless steel that's been forged. We leave a small amount of the oxide layer on but this is pure stainless steel.

Its funny you say you can't make a swage by yourself. I am 143 lbs. 5'11"... A bean pole of Alabama-country-boy-can-do-attitude... When I need to make a dent in something, I use an 8lb sledge one handed and put the art of physics behind my swing. I have a very low anvil set up for my big striking. I bend knees and back when swinging and I feel I can do more work than any of my buddy's helping out because I aint afraid to hit it like I live.

Always remember to coat copper cookware/tableware they can leech copper into food if it is acidic and cause copper poisoning (yes copper is toxic in high concentrations)
