I flew on a plane last spring, when no one was flying, basically the plane was almost empty. I had to have a negative test on hand, upload and put on the airline website, before departure. And had to show the negative test when I landed. If I didn't have the test, when the plane landed. They would test me, but then I'd have to quarantine for 10 days. The test had to be no older than 72 hours by the time the plane landed and at one point said they could turn me around and send me back at one point that was also a guideline. And despite the plane basically empty, I still had to wear a mask at all times.

This entire video was a thing of beauty. I literally beamed with pride during every second. Well done congressman.
I don't know him personally, I've not seen all his speakings or know all his opinions but, he's done very well on numerous occasions. I'm aware of who he is because of the individual who tried to murder a bunch of congressmen. Steve Scalise barely escaped with his life. Regardless of opinions regarding the violence at the Capitol on Jan 6th, he did a spectacular job voicing the concerns with governors changing laws, overiding what the people of pennsylvania through their legislature voted for. I'm sure he's not right about everything, no one is but, he hits the nail on the head regularly. As evidenced here. He clearly states what the situation is and why it's a problem. Politics has absolutely consumed everyone to the point of denying and lying about things that r observable and verifiable. People can have opinions about anything but there is still an underlying fact pattern and reality. Too many people turn their opinion of something into what they think is reality. We've done it to ourselves. We watch as our public servants abdicate their duty and cause immeasurable harm to those that rely on them. And still don't remove them, we continue granting them authority and a generous paycheck. We've watched for over a year as thousands participate n city wide crime sprees and we have sociopaths who make it into office and say we need to give them room to destroy. It's disgusting, it's vile, and it's costing a lot of good innocent Americans their lives and livelihoods. They have no shame, no moral compass, no compassion or empathy, only politics. They've clearly demonstrated that they don't like what America has to offer. This country is too beautiful to not save it from those that want to give room to destroy. Our families and communities r too precious to allow these bullies to continue their goal of taking what our wonderful and selfless patriots gave their life for. Sorry for the rant. One can argue whether or not the administration's policy is correct or not, but the CDC and its enormous volume of science-driven data-driven experts and researchers have little control over what happens on the ground there if the holistic policy has been decided. These aren't bureaucrats. They're trying to keep you alive. I can't understand why this is so hard for you guys to understand. We wear masks to protect each other. Guidelines aren't laws. It isn't the CDC's job to make or enforce laws. Local govts do that. We were told not to wear masks early in the pandemic because there were shortages for health care personnel, and we didn't know at that time how effective they were. Now we do and now we have vaccines. The quickest way to get back to normal life without the threat of covid is to do both. Because so many of you won't wear masks, cases skyrocket. All of those cases, unchecked, allow for mutations. Mutations that are more contagious. Mutations that infect people and cause deaths in 20s,30s, and 40 year olds. Notice how things are in India right now. 250,000 new cases a day. No hospital beds and not enough oxygen. That's where we're headed if everyone doesn't get vaccinated and/or wear masks.

When rampant spread of the virus is occurring between people, they have the opportunity to mutate into different strains or variants. We have a UK variant, a South African variant, a Brazilian variant,etc. Those are susceptible but not as susceptible to our vaccines. Those variants have evolved to be much more transmissible and cause more severe disease in younger folks. Our predominant strain in the US right now is the UK variant. Vaccines and masking are the only way to keep those numbers down and prevent even more dangerous variants. In India they were rolling out vaccines, had things under control. Then they opened things up, everyone stopped wearing masks and now they've had over 200,000 new cases in the last 7 days that they expect to double. Their hospitals are full of 20,30, and 40 yr olds. Their crematories are overwhelmed. That's what I'm talking about.

But they certainly influence policymakers on issues of diseases and pandemics. They share a direct correlation to any and all covid-19 policies. To suggest otherwise is nothing short of a fallacy.

Not to mention I dont understand when certain institutions became infallible, shining examples of perfection. These factors allow the "uneducated" as you seem to deem anyone with a conflicting view, to express their ideas on what they believe is happening.
