hello guys. I got nearly scammed at upwork by client which its method is not verified. I'm glad to understand at the knife-edge. Please don't send your proposals in this kind of clients.

Nakapagsend lang ako ng CV and nakalagay yung address ko dun pero hindi ko tinuloy dahil scam dahil nanghihingi siya ng government ID safe pa rin ba yun kahit papano?
Napansin ko medyo sa mga moms ang outreach ng channel mo pero super helpful din sakin yung mga napapanood ko regarding freelancing kasi plan ko din magfreelance so THANK YOU! Yung channel mo po ang nagpadecide sakin na ituloy na ang pagffreelance. 😊

You should have setup where they pay extra. Only if they want the project rushed.
what about as client i already pay upfront at upwork. and he not deliver anything so i want terminate him and can i get back the upfront on escrow at upwork?

Hi momsh!, I dont know if other niche freelance kung nakkaencounter dn ng client na sa posting pa lng ng hiring nila meron n pinapagawa nagaattach na sya ng files then una unahan n lng cguro mga applicant kung cno una makasubmit was that a good client dn ba, kasi what if d k nmn nya hinire, sayang time and effort ng paggawa 🙄
Is there some clients po ba talaga nanghihingi ng Passport? Yung na experience ko kasi pang database of freelancer and employees lang daw nila. While I searched some scammers sells passport at the deep web for 1,000 uss for identify theft

Hi, Mommy Ruth! Newbie pa lang po ako sa upwork. Pinili ko po yung document conversion freelancer. May ilang clients na po akong nakausap na meron silang insurance fee na hinihingi sa akin. Natatakot naman ako sumugal kasi ang hinihingi nila minsan eh $40 na pinakamababa :(
No, do not pay that. I have been victimized by it. Nag aask sila na parang levy to process their payment or however they word it.
hello, I'm new to this industry and still learning everything, regarding to avoiding the rude and scamming clients, what if I already started the job then I just somehow feel that this client is a scamming one, what would I do? No, na biktima ako dyan. They are asking an amount and they word it as levy, processing, deposit etc. Do not provide any amount nor you bank details.
Paano po if nagpapa purchase muna sila nang card in order to join in the job position like they contact me in my telegram then they said magbabayad muna ako before the Job

Same with my experience they want me to pay $160 for the ID card before they can process my payment. I scam tracked their website and turns out they’re not legit at all.

Ma’am first time ko po makatanggap ng message from client sa Upwork, however, pinapasend niya po ako ng resume outside ng upwork. May binigay siya na email then put my Upwork usename daw po, age, name & location po. And if ever may questions daw po ako I can ask via email. Sana po masagot. Thank you!

Don't fall for this guys. 🙆🏽♂️ It's a trap. No client demands money from a freelancer. I have had this same experience 2 times in a row. Luckily I didn't lose any of my money. But my precious time and hardwork has gone in vain. Glad I came across this video.
Na biktima din ako dyan. Nag aask din ng $250 bago i release yung pay. Napakasayang ng effort. Charge to experience ko na lang yun ang be cautious moving forward.

Ako din sa upwork ko nakuha. Dami dun. Kapag ng ask na ng money alam na scam yun.
My case..i got direct client,no need to security fees. After i done my task, he start telling me the hidden charges. Said my account suspended because i need to get premium Id card and ask me to pay usd400. It hurt me, work with dateline, but didn't get the payment, but i been saved by scammer 😭

Thanks so much for the video and it really helps for the first timers in freelancing.
My first experience is they offered $3000 via telegram. I did the work and submitted earlier and given them dl access to the file. After that is they sent an email w/the payment confirmation and was asked to pay $250 for “levy” to process their payment and then they are pressuring me to pay that amount but I explained that dont have that amount. I was sad but i need to move on and be cautious next time.

It's Upwork themselves scamming freelancers now. Imagine applying for a $50 job and you will have to use 12 connects, and the client has an unverified payment method. Upwork has become greedy.

Hi Thanks for this! But how would I know if the client or company is legit before I submit a proposal? because in submitting a proposal, you would need a number of connects and it will just go to waste if it turn out it's a scam! I know bcoz he wanted to talk via Telegram (outside upwork).
Chay once I noticed the pattern I changed which clients I pursue. If I see that payment in unverified, zero dollar spend in the past, and obviously no spend I skip them. I don't care if they're base in the USA they're too risky to take on. Tapos kung masyadong mahal yung bayad sa sobrang simpleng trabaho alam ko na they're just trying to hook you. Another sign is they try to immediately connect you to someone else who is on Telegram or WhatsApp (I'm assuming also on Viber and Signal meron). What fuckin assholes!!! Why isn't UpWork fixing this??? Sobrang simple lang naman diba. Sheesh...
