Brother man, you are amazing and I want you to know that there are not a lot of people like you in this world. You're so patient and this video was very well done. The explanations were excellent! I just found you by accident today. I purchased two of these Kayaks for 500.00 and we're going out next weekend on a lake in Maine.
I just want to thank you for your amazing videos and tell you that I absolutely think you're super cool. I wish I could meet you one day just to hang out and maybe BBQ and chat. You seem very interesting. We live in NY. (My wife, my son and I.). We travel a lot and I have always wanted a Kayack ,but my van is not able to hold a non inflatable easily. So, I decided to ask my wife about buying an inflatable. Glad to see that you approve of this model specifically. I've heard all sorts of reviews on it, good and bad, but after watching you, I'm happy.
God bless you Brother. Many thanks for your hard work on this video

Just an FYI to anyone considering this Kayak (K1) for fishing and modding. It's only rated for 220lbs. I weigh 208, and have had 20 lbs worth of equipment in the boat with me, it wasn't even low in the water. I would like to add a trolling motor, so using a plywood base for the seat may not be feasible for someone my size while also using other heavy mods. It's a great kayak though and I do recommend it.

Thanks for liking my video! Sorry i dont have any building instructions. I just built it piece by piece. I agree the seats that came with the kayak are junk. I bought a sea eagle inflatable seat & it fits perfectly in the kayak & it's comfortable. Take a look at the sea eagle inflatable seats to see if you're interested in them.

I realizd that instead of doing all that with the pvc pipes, you could just get a cooler and attach rod holders to it. Letting you get a cold drink or you can bonk a fish and toss it into the cooler to preserve.

I have a Sevylor Colorado - original version - and I was planning to convert it for fishing. There is now a fishing version of this boat which is mentioned as a cheap fishing kayak in many reviews. I had already tried the plywood floor idea, but now I want to extend it to accommodate rod holders and my fish finder and rule. I want to keep the weight and expense down so I was just thinking of using a lawnchair! With pipe insulation or pool noodles on the bottom rails. Any suggestions?

Nice mods &improvements. Could you please demonstrate how that anchor line & pulley system works. I'm not sure I understand why you didn't just tie a line to the existing original tie out on the kayak & just drop the anchor & then pull it back up by hand. I really want to see what this system you made does & how it works. Thanks.
*Edit: The seat upgrade is a huge improvement over those cheesy blow-up seats. Did you also lengthen the paddle to 240 or 250cm? Or did you just replace the stock paddles with better longer ones? I've had my eye on this K2/2 person Intex Excursion Pro for sometime. I am hoping I will be able to budget for it this coming spring. Cheers.

    • @NotParadoxish

It's an adjustable anchor line. The idea is that you can move the anchor to the stern or bow, depending on current conditions, without pulling it out each time. It also lets you do it from the middle of the boat, which is pretty important for most fishing kayaks. The actual term for it is an "anchor trolley" if you wanted to look up some more videos on how to install or use them.
For what it's worth, this is by far the best example I've seen of installing one on an inflatable kayak. That said, you can do a little less work on your install by buying an anchor trolley kit. Most of them are
