According to my Iaijutsu teacher, samurai often tried to kill their opponents with an overhead downward slash, cutting the opponent from the top of their skull to their navel, obviously cutting through their brain and spinal cord in the process. Samurai supposedly thought that this was the quickest, most painless and most humane way to kill with a sword. So, assuming that's all still believed to be true, Trunks going through Zamasu the other way by cutting upward had to be the biggest symbolic "fuck you" a swordsman can muster.

Any argument along the lines of "but they wouldn't do it because it's permanent!" falls flat because we already know Potara Fusions can be undone by the Dragon Balls. Realistically they had to nerf it or never use Vegito again. And I like that we got to see Vegito again, even if only for one episode.
I sure am glad that Trunks got the final blow, proving the strength of Mortals when we work together and nothing will happen in the next Episode to undermine this message or achievment.
i love how its very clear u guys where done with zamasus shit lol. I personally love how narcasistic and crazt he gets, makes his defeat all the more satisfying
I'm going to be honest, I always kind of disliked the added lore of portara fusion being an hour instead of permanent. A lot of video games and fan works had fun "what if" stories based on the idea of Vegito running around a lot longer than just the Buu saga, and they usually ended with Vegito using the dragon balls to "wish themselves separate" later on anyway. it's not a big deal, but we did believe this for a decade before it was changed, so it feels wrong somehow. it also feels weird that none of the supreme kais of universe 7 knew this, but to be honest that's par for the course
Yeah exactly, like, why change this insanely compelling, risk vs reward fusion into just a more powerful version of the fusion dance? Why even bother using potara anymore at that point? Might as well have made an upgraded fusion dance, at least that would have been more reasonable, but nope! Now the potara lost its one most compelling aspect :/
True, but then again, I'm sure any of the Dragon Balls can remove the time limit if it ever needed to happen. And they could be used to split apart the fusion.
The entire first half of Vegito's fight was animated by the legendary Naotoshi Shida. You're gonna see a lot more of him in the next arc. It's all ways a treat whenever his work is on screen.
this is my own personal theory but i think one of the reason why goku and vegta don't fuse so much is one vegeta pride and the fact that when they do they basically have a insta win which is why it needs a time limit of a hour or vegito mix of vegta pride and goku cockyness to not take fight seriously unless it already to late means vegito forgets about the time limit and they split just as they are about to win happens alot when they fuse there just about to win and poof the time limit done and vegeta never wants to do it again time to move on to a new idea to beat the baddie
1:27 Show him your kicks, Goku. 1:39 That's actually quite smart to use the Kaioken now. You know what happened with Goku Black when he used Instant Transmission against him. 2:09 I think that's one of the best yells I heard from Zamasu ever since. 2:33 The answer is simple. See, Zamasu is immortal, but Black is not so basically every damage he has overwhelmed him and corrupted with his immortal self. 2:52 Fused Zamasu Half-Corrupted. 4:12 Vegito: Alright 4:22 Vegito BLUE!!! 5:00 Shut up. 5:06 Come on, get serious already. 5:39 Vegito:Spirit stab. 5:55 Oh, I'm sorry, is that hurting you? He cannot accept Gods are flawed because that would mean HE is flawed so he projects all of that loathing towards mortals. Not that you needed the reminder but it's still good.
I'm disappointed that the writers retconned Vegito's permanent time limit because they didn't know what to with him him, EVEN THOUGH they previously showed that it's possible to separate a potara fusion by making a wiah with the namekian dragonballs like what they did for Shin Supreme Kai and Kibito
I've been playing Final Fantasy 14 a ton and would I be wrong to say Zamasu is every bit a final boss raid? Complete with over the top dialog, repeat moves and final boss phases (Especially for what's coming).
Maybe one that doesn’t erase everyone and everything trunk’s has ever known? Are you serious? The entire timeline was completely erased. There isn’t even an afterlife there anymore. Trunks lost EVERYTHING, and to rub salt in the wound he now lives in a copy of his world. He’s not even the only trunks there either. Imagine living in a reality that already had a version of you(you are the outsider) and knowing that you failed your own timeline, and no one even exists in an afterlife now. This ending could not have been any worse.
The End of this Arc is by far the best of the entire show. No wishing away. Finally something happened, that can't be undone... A Show without consequences for anything, finally has consequences.
Vegetto is my favorite charactrer from Dragon Ball, but they did retcon the Potara Fusion, since it was indeed very permanent, they only got separated because Majin Buu's body had such a weird and dark atmosphere they got separated when he tried to absorb Super Vegetto.
Ok that Spirit Sword is total f***ing bs. Energy of what a dozen starved and malnutrition humans ? Remember Freiza got hit with the energy of all planets near by namek and the freaking sun and no took no damage. I disagree I liked the ending this is the only time the main characters actually fail and it can't be undone in a show with zero consequences. So it was cool for me plus we get to see why all the gods are so afraid of Zeno. I understand why people don't like it but they over exaggerate

Realistically they had to nerf it or never use Vegito again. And I like that we got to see Vegito again, even if only for one episode.
Still can't get over how OP Goku is
That kamehameha was something else
5:08 ANIMATION INCREASE AGAIN 📈📈📈📈📈📈📈
Goku didn't use Kaioken earlier cause Black could copy him and then it would be really bad
Super Saiyan Rosé Kaioken. Definitely bad.
Trunks gave him the Kung lao fatality right up the middle.
Nice reference 😁
"Be perfect in Hell" is definitely the Vegeta side of Vegeto
And that’s why we call Future Trunks “Mr. Get Sh- Done.”
Man, I can't wait for you guys to watch the Broly movie.
If I had a nickel for every time Trunks sliced someone in half, I'd have 2 nickels, but I'd kill a guy for a 3rd.
😂
Well look at that, Gowasu a supreme kai actually knew something or at least guessed correctly with great accuracy!
Soo... anybody else notice that Trucks just spirt bombed his sword without any training from any Kais?
It's all ways a treat whenever his work is on screen.
gotta love how vegito takes after vegita when the opponent is monologuing. goku would have waited for him to finish
Trunks did say he was gonna cut Zamasu right down the middle.
keep in mind we waited 20= years for vegitto to return
"I just hope they don't destroy the world trying to save the world."
Yeah.... yeah that would suck wouldn't it....
And do you know what power level Trunks had?
1,800,000,000,000-whatever-is-needed-to-defeat-Zamasu ☝
I love that you guys had the same reaction to the explanation of the Potara's as I did "oh okay".
A lot of people got upset about it 😂
It would have been major bs if Vegito got the final kill. But giving it to Trunks makes it not as egregious 🤗
Man seeing Vegito again was a crazy moment! Especially in Super saiyan blue 👍
17:03 Alcohol names!? I never noticed that
this is my own personal theory but i think one of the reason why goku and vegta don't fuse so much is one vegeta pride and the fact that when they do they basically have a insta win which is why it needs a time limit of a hour or vegito mix of vegta pride and goku cockyness to not take fight seriously unless it already to late means vegito forgets about the time limit and they split just as they are about to win
happens alot when they fuse there just about to win and poof the time limit done and vegeta never wants to do it again time to move on to a new idea to beat the baddie
1:39 KAIOKEN 🔴🔵🔴🔵🔴🔵🔴🔵🔴🔵🔴🔵🔴🔵🔴🔵🔴🔵
KAIOWHA--*gets yeeted*
We know what's coming next and it created lots of more problems technically.. but this is a nice finisher.
This is one of the best Fusion fights Vegito blue Like the New form😮
3:18 FUSION TIME🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Didn’t Future Trunks say in a previous episode that he will “slice him in half”?? 🧐🧐
4:12 Vegito: Alright
4:22 Vegito BLUE!!!
5:00 Shut up.
5:06 Come on, get serious already.
5:39 Vegito:Spirit stab.
5:55 Oh, I'm sorry, is that hurting you? Aren't you immortal?
6:40 Gotta answer for everything, huh?
6:48 Are you seriously crying?!
7:56 Final Kamehameha!
8:11 Savage Strike
8:15 What?! Okay, if I had a take a guest on how long the fusion last? I say at least 10 minutes, 15, maybe.
10:05 The Sword of Hope!
10:41 I'll give a damn about you or your so-called Justice!!!
10:46 Zamasu: Impossible, this can't be AAAAAAAAGGGHHH!!!!
I love this episode so much, probably one of the best in Super. And it's gonna really suck when the next episode ruins the entire arc for me
Really ? Why ? I absolutly LOVE the next Episode, something that is always missing from Dragon Ball and it finally happened... Consequences, something you can't just wish away
@@Luzarioth but not really, cause they solve their consequence with the most ass pull solution I've ever seen. And then past this episode, it doesn't even feel like any thing from this arc mattered, except for one, but even then you could remove that one point and nothing would really change the final arc
@@superserg4763 They don't solve anything, they tried the instant fix and lost everything
@@Luzarioth Uh yeah, they did, and then after that Whis just throws them in a new timeline and they get everything back. It's not fully the same yes, but the fact is that ""consequence" couldn't even last. If anything, it's a consequence to the person watching the show, cause if they rewatch this show, they can skip this entire arc and the viewer doesn't even lose anything
@@superserg4763it's even worse cuz they just acted like it was a victory and went off into different timelines. Super weird
This was really awesome
Vegito My sword bigger than your sword Bethany That's is to funny
*sigh* This is where the Zamasu arc should've ended, but... 😔
Great reaction❤
Vegeta is the dominant personality in Vegetio Guko is in Gogeta
4:15 4:21 WELCOME BACK VEGITO🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵🔵
Love your reactions and dont worry I'm not a bot hahah

Vegito is best boy
This is one of the greatest fights in Dragon Ball history
Yeah, you right.. OG Goku vs Piccollo in the last tournament, Goku vs. Freeza, Gohan vs Cell.. those are nothing..
@@GirlofCulturethink he means in terms of being animated. Narratively those fights are better. Animation wise, Vegetto vs Zamasu is absolutely one of the best. Forgot the animator’s name but he always cooks
@@GirlofCulture Probably why they said "one of the greatest fights" not "the greatest fight".
@@fluffernutter6633 Semantics.
@@GirlofCulture Not THE greatest. Just one of the greatest. Sorry if I confused you
0:59 Goku's strongest will power😮😮😮😮😮
We see here that while infinetly evil all the Zamasus genuenly belive that their actions are a necesity and for the greater good witch in the future universe is basically just for themselvs. Friza would have just done all this just because he enjoys hurting others. While the Zamasus have a sadistic streak that isn't their only reason.
Now you could argue that their knowledge of Goku being a part of them is just cope it does seem that this was always the plan. Symbolically have their hated mortals and the failiures of the gods with them for eternity as some form of self punishment and reminder for why they did this. Fused Zamasu literaly became a walking contradiction by being both immortal and mortal. Kinds like how Jesus is 100% god and 100% human.
Vegito put upp a fight but ultimately even he could not beat someone immortal or the time limit. They almost got a W but alas.
Well at least Future Trunks finally got a W. Lets hope this actions doesent have any negative consequenses or invalidating the one W he got this arc. Lets see.
Zamasu isn't just the ultimate racist but also the ultimate shit talker. In scope Zamasu and well all of Zamasus eclipse basically everyone. Only Friza is more of a outright prick as Zamasu is at this point genuenly deluded in his belife. Its pityable in just how much potential was wasted on evil.
Bakana! Kono Zamasu gaaa.... KONO ZAMASU GAAAA!
Yes lets go. My favourite fusion in blue.
So, how exactly IS Trunks such a good match for someone who can take on Super Saiyan Blue Vegito?
Because Vegito was technically not meant to be apart of the arc. Toyotaro suggested that Toriyama should add Vegito to the arc as a last ditch effort for fanservice
I’d love for them to skip 67. But I know they already watched it…
Vegito is cocky but i like GOGETA ,he is cooler looking and badass .
This hand of mine glows with an awesome POWER!
Its burning grip tells me to grasp victory!
Take this. My love, my anger, AND ALL OF MY SORROW!
Shining Finger, SWORD! - Mobile Fighter G GUNDAM
The first thing I thought of when I first saw this. BTW DBZA did a short parody of that.

Zamasu is a great villain but gets really annoying and nauseating really quickly. He went not only a level beyond power but narcissism too, uuuuugh 🙄
Recommend your mine
Vegito's return was super hype back in the day I assure you.
Told ya that fused Zamasu would show outward what kind of being Zamasu really is. A delusional, self-righteous narcissistic hypocrite. He cannot accept Gods are flawed because that would mean HE is flawed so he projects all of that loathing towards mortals. Not that you needed the reminder but it's still good.
Yeaaaah but...
next episode ☠️.....
This saga has a lot of flaws, but its biggest one was the ending....
The ending to the Black arc truly sucks for sure
ctrl alt delete isn't good enough for you? Sorry whats a more reasonable end to it?
Because having a happy ending is so horrible, I guess
Can u guys react to the short Uncharted vs Tomb Raider vs Indiana Jones by devinsupertramp it's really good!😀😀😃😃😄😁😁🙂🙂🙂🤩
Vegetto is my favorite charactrer from Dragon Ball, but they did retcon the Potara Fusion, since it was indeed very permanent, they only got separated because Majin Buu's body had such a weird and dark atmosphere they got separated when he tried to absorb Super Vegetto.
I know that fusing into Vegito was purely done for fan service and to sell toys, but it was worth it to see the Final-Kamehameha become canon 😃
Second
cares?
@@codyroht827nice one
Ok that Spirit Sword is total f***ing bs.
Energy of what a dozen starved and malnutrition humans ?
Remember Freiza got hit with the energy of all planets near by namek and the freaking sun and no took no damage.
Buu got defeated after took the combined energy of everything in the universe + heaven + hell and top tier fighters of the time.
Zamasu is incomparably stronger than Buu, like Infinitely stronger.
Trunks gets clapped without power of friendship bs.
Vegito is the strongest fusion in Dragon Ball Z. The only reason Vegito doesn't kill Zamuazu is because part of him is immortal.
First?
who
Those tears, Zamasu truly thought he was in the right, "for the good of the Cosmos. FOR CREATION 😭" really just show how bad of a teacher Gowasu was
Gowasu was just too nice of a guy.
Time for the worst episode in all of Dragon Ball next time!
Still very angry about the ending of all this
It was disappointing to say the least. The writers clearly wrote themselves into a corner
I disagree I liked the ending this is the only time the main characters actually fail and it can't be undone in a show with zero consequences. So it was cool for me plus we get to see why all the gods are so afraid of Zeno. I understand why people don't like it but they over exaggerate
@@F4Jd The problem is that there is an emotional connection to Trunks' world surviving. The ending basically makes everything end up not mattering. And the worst part is they act like sending Trunks and Mai into an alternate universe fixes everything.
Like I get what you mean but it the storytelling would just be better if the arc ended with Trunks killing Zamasu. If anything it further shows that no one but Goku is allowed to accomplish anything. Because Trunks' struggle is all for nothing in the end.
@@princeveggie it means Trunk's failed Gohan. He couldn't protect the future, his mom and every single one is dead. His mom built the time machine just for all of them to be dead either way
@@Don-fw3nv All they had to do was let Vegito stun Zamasu with a Final Kamehameha and let Trunks seal him away with the Mafuba. Then offer the jar to the Gods where they can keep it locked away for eternity. BOOM. Trunks gets his W AND Vegito isn't disrespected.
Do you know who vegito is I think this first time you see vegito right
