This was the only time in Dragon Ball a villain completelly won, the only way to kill Zamasu was to destroy everything in that timeline, exactly what he wanted, with the exception of actually dying.
That moment when Gohan shows up is awesome, he's panting and with Piccolo, implying that HE'S TRAINING again because he saw how troublesome things can get. Good stuff.

5:33 No ma'am. Trunks' original timeline is gone. Earth, Heaven, Hell, it's all gone. In the end, Zamasu fulfilled his goal, but at the cost of his very existence. @@parkerboy795 Zamasu destroyed the Super Dragonballs of the future timeline, so those don't exist either, and gathering the ones in the main timeline isn't easy since they're scattered across multiple universes.
In the Japanese version when Goku tells Zeno, "wouldn't it be better to destroy it" Meaning zamasu Zeno doesn't answer "I'll destroy it" But goes, "yeah, a world like this ..." Which is why Goku freaks out immediately
One good thing about there being two of trunks and Mai in the future timeline is now trunks has someone to train with to help him become stronger to stop any future threats to his timeline
They kinda did lose though. Their whole universe was overtaken by an immortal Zamasu and he killed everyone on earth except for our main characters. Zeno literally had to erase that universe to get rid of Zamasu. Let’s say Goku forgot that button, what then? To me, it’s just bad writing but for the most part, I did enjoy Goku Black and Future Trunks. Can’t wait for yall to get to the last arc! 😄
The issue with the writing in my opinion is that it kinda proves parts of what Zamasu says right. It isn't the mortals who beat Zamasu. No in order to beat a god you need a greater god.
Since Dragon Ball draws a lot of inspirations from "Journey To The West", I'd wager that the Angels from DB are parallel entities of the Buddha in JTTW, given the parallels that they are different entities from Gods, beyond time and space, immensely stronger than Gods and do not abide by the rules of Gods (eg, never kneel before each other), and these two would never fight each other. If Zeno is the Jade Emperor (King of Gods) then the Grand Priest is the Tathagata (the "King of Buddhas"). Since Tathagata and all the other Buddhas are basically one and the same being but manifest in different individuals, and a feat capable by one of them is capable by all, it could be said that the Grand Priest simply "split" himself to create the Angels... So there is no Mom.. which is creepy, but also leads to another theory.. which leads to another fan idea...namely a counterpart to the Angels of the 12 Universes. = The Devils...which could serve as the final arc and then Dragon Ball as a franchise is finally over. Who knows.
Can we just take a moment to think that "One timeline no longer has a Zen Oh".... And I doubt an Angels power could create another. A Zen Oh of a timeline exists outside of Universes... So wtf Goku?
Just to clarify for anyone who didn’t know - Zeno didn’t just destroy universe 7 in that timeline. He destroyed the entire multiverse. Trunks’s timeline literally has nothing left.
I honestly hated how this arc ended. Future Trunks and Mai should have stayed in the main timeline, even if they went back and fixed their own and created duplicates of themselves.
I honestly wasn't a fan of this ending. Like, Zamasu's hatred and malice manifesting into an ethereal, indestructible force that can spread across the universe and all the timelines is just...really stupid. Like even by Dragon Ball standards, it felt ridiculous and came out of nowhere. In the manga, Zamasu was cut and blown into bits, but because he was immortal, each little bit reformed into an equally powerful Zamasu. So they had to deal with like 500 of them. Either way, they had to press the Zeno button to erase everything in both versions, because I assume both had to come up with some reason why resorting to Zeno was necessary based on Toriyama's outlines. I would've preferred if it just ended with Trunks' Spirit Bomb Sword. It'd be fitting considering this is his story and his timeline.
It's really great to see the team lose to a greater foe for once. It humanizes them. I just wish they made it more dramatic and made it feel like the loss it actually was. From now on, it only gets worse in terms of writing and pacing, so good luck.
A lot of people hated this ending because everyone died and the heroes lost, but that is why i loved it. Dont get me wrong, im not a psychopat enjoying characters suffering, but to me the sad ending let DBS mature a little, you cant win all battles and save eveyone ever, sometimes bad things happen and you just have to move on, keep moving forward, les just live (yes, two RWBY reference).
Honestly I can't tell which ending is worse, this or the Manga. Like yeah Zamasu got destroyed but the cost to do so was a bit too high for my taste. Then again it is refreshing to have an ending that's bittersweet.
Zamasu is the only villain in Dragon Ball that outright wins and needs to be deleted by the ultimate authority of the universe - Zeno. And he still made his dream come true - there will never be mortals in that timeline again. Also this is strange, because I remember them specifically saying that they are not sending back to their timeline but into a different one (creating a new time ring in the process), it seems a little retconned in the dub version? Anyways I digress, Zamasu not only won but is one of the only villains that actually had a reason for doing what he did, not just being outright evil as Freeza or Cell etc..
And now we have created a alt universe were Zeno doesn't exist and a Grand Minister without a purpose.. timetravel stories who are poorly executed like this one, will create trouble and problems.
Couple filler episodes until the greatest Arc in the entirety of Super and imo... maybe one of the top five arc in all of Dragonball after the Cell, Namek, Saiyan and King Piccolo arcs in that order
A good arc but everyone can agree on the weakest part of the Arc, the ending, glad you still enjoyed it. And interesting note the Manga has evebts play out different than the Anime, I Highly recommend watching a video going over the Dragon Ball Super Manga version of the Goku Black Arc when you have the chance
Spoilers for the Dragon Ball Xenoverse games I guess. I'm not sure if it's been said by someone else, my head Canon this is way of trying to explain the Xenoverse games Trunks, he's now a Trunk without a timeline of his own and arguably the one who caused the most the distortions in the timelines, now having personally seen the destruction that can cause would explain why he's atoning for that by helping out the Supreme Kai of Time prevent timeline diversions in those games.
An then he gets arrested by time cops an become supreme kai times time flunky in xenoverse 😊 But nah Pyrrhic victories in shonen catch me ,thought it was gonna be like GT when they pull it back, but guess he wanted consequence and that's okay. Trunks body count Frieza Cell 17/18 Bibidi Dabura Aaannd zamasu, kinda
Still think to this day it was a dumb decision to again make Trunks leave their timeline. With that ending all they had to was keep them in the timeline & when you go further into Super it makes less sense why they didnt
I understand some people love the unpredictably of trunks ultimately losing in the end but my thing is that this arc didn't *earn* that ending. For all intents and purposes, Trunks failed to save his world, everyone he knows and loves are dead, even those in otherworld, everything that Trunks sacrificed to save his future from all the way back in Z ultimately meant nothing. Trunks as a character was created to bring hope to a world that lost it because of the Androids and Black so this ending is almost disrespectful to what Trunks as a concept represented and thats why i really dislike how they handled this ending.
Glad to see you enjoyed the arc as a whole. I can understand why so many people thought this was kind of a cheap cop-out way to end the arc, but for me it worked very well. Not everything ends in victory, or at least not the way you want or expect it to. Hell, I just recently had some nasty workplace drama make a complete 180 in my favor because after all my efforts, all the time I spent planning out the best way to handle things and try to resolve everything...the culprit publicly outed themselves. Their hubris got the better of them. I know it's not a 1:1 comparison, but Trunks' final words in this episode still hold true in my mind. Also, for an arc with time travel involved, I personally thought they did a really good job of tying up loose ends. Maybe not a perfect job (eh? Eeeeeeeh?), but all the major points had a purpose and that purpose played a role somehow. Even if only once.
Ken I think u mean the androids would be wiped out cuz that’s how vegeta would’ve been been in future trunks timeline black fucked up a lot of shit but the androids really fucked up his childhood
Am i the only one that thinks this legitimately is the worst episode of Dragon Ball, out of every series? Cause like, their is almost nothing to like about this episode. I rather rewatch the beginning arc of GT than this episode ever again, lmao
I will say, it solved the question of, "what happens to an immortal being with no physical body to contain that immortality?" Next up is probably my favorite arc of all of Dragon Ball. Period. It's so good but has a bit of a rough start but becomes beyond worth it
And with this, the entire arc was pointless. Doesn't that feel amazing? Everyone is dead, Future Trunks and Future Mai now live with a few months younger versions of themselves. That doesn't sound like a living nightmare at all. At least Zeno is happy.
I saw a cool timeline. Now future trunks and future mai can live for the rest of their lives in happiness. Then drop in like masked hermits when things stir up again. That's pretty amazing. I do find the writing awful in regards to everyone else dying though. Since that negated the power of friendship.
@@sevisavoryDude, there’s sad endings and then there’s comically evil grimderp endings that erase all those poor people from existence. What was stopping the Omni King from targeting Zamasu specifically?
This is arguably the worst ending of any arc in Dragon Ball. All of em. Which sucks because narratively it’s the strongest arc in Super (I prefer the NEXT one on a personal level, but I won’t pretend it’s very flawed too). At the end of the day, I prefer super over GT by a lot, but that doesn’t mean Super wasn’t a mess. They went back to the future one too many times. It should been twice at most. Three times was excessive. Trunks new form has no build up or rhyme or reason. Goku forgetting the seal and senzu borders on character assassination. All in all, the manga handled this arc vastly better. Not saying I didn’t love the moments like Trunks and Vegeta/Gohan’s goodbye, but it’s hard to shake the weirdness of oh I’ll just go back in time where we already exist and live there.

@@parkerboy795 Zamasu destroyed the Super Dragonballs of the future timeline, so those don't exist either, and gathering the ones in the main timeline isn't easy since they're scattered across multiple universes.
@@enterthekyuubi True, but the present ones exist. They might not be easy to find, but it's doable. For one thing, Bulma could track them.
I give the ending credit for 1 thing. Dragon Ball has been around for 40 years and I NEVER expected that conclusion...
Like...WTF?!? 😂
in the manga, Trunk and Mai (with Beerus' permission) went back in time and saved their timeline, instead of moving to a new one
In the Japanese version when Goku tells Zeno,
"wouldn't it be better to destroy it" Meaning zamasu
Zeno doesn't answer "I'll destroy it"
But goes, "yeah, a world like this ..."
Which is why Goku freaks out immediately
One good thing about there being two of trunks and Mai in the future timeline is now trunks has someone to train with to help him become stronger to stop any future threats to his timeline
Hahaha this is very funny the younger trunks likes older mai and younger mai likes older trunks 🤣🤣❤️ and the ending I was crying
It kinda REALLY annoys me that Gohan had no part to play in this arc...
Like... SERIOUSLY???
I can’t wait for the greatest arc in DB history
Barry Kahn
3:14 That IS impressive, you gotta admit.
In a weird way Zamasu actually did get what he wanted he destroyed all the Mortals in that timeline...it just costed him his life.
I could hear her Luffy when Mai started crying
You guys should react to manga version of this arc. It's different than anime and much BETTER paced.
Cant wait for you guys to see the next arc which is the final arc of DBS, its gonna be so exciting and epic i can’t wait for it
This arc showed that Zamasu was a pure, evil monster; far more evil than Frieza, Cell, or Buu.
Not every story suppose to have a happy ending😂
7:16 😊💪
*I told you that you weren't ready*
We need a spinoff series based on Future Trunks and the new timeline.
And now we have created a alt universe were Zeno doesn't exist and a Grand Minister without a purpose.. timetravel stories who are poorly executed like this one, will create trouble and problems.
Hey Ken when the new intro drops in the next season we need a full reaction to it please!
I feel like Lil Mai friendzoned Lil Trunks
Go straight to the TOP Arc the beginning pls.
An then he gets arrested by time cops an become supreme kai times time flunky in xenoverse 😊
But nah Pyrrhic victories in shonen catch me ,thought it was gonna be like GT when they pull it back, but guess he wanted consequence and that's okay.

Aaannd zamasu,kinda
Episode 67 does not exist in my head canon
Worst ending of all dragonball arcs. Luckly next saga has an amazing finale😅
9 more episodes before T.O.P. Arc
Trunks should've stayed in the present timeline
Can't wait to see ya'll watching the tournament of power
Mai is a straight up creep she's older than Bulma
If possible could you react to The Ultimate "Dragon Ball Z" Recap Cartoon by Casa van de Pol
See you in 10 weeks! Some of the upcoming filler episodes are OK but I'm not going to stick around and watch reactions to them.
Rip
You must have done some real fucked upp shit for it to work in your favour.
Also who asked tho.
Trunks and Mai should have stayed in my honest opinion
Will you guys ever play any of the dragon ball games?
Yeah don't worry, everyone hated this ending too
Ken I think u mean the androids would be wiped out cuz that’s how vegeta would’ve been been in future trunks timeline black fucked up a lot of shit but the androids really fucked up his childhood
I like this arc, but this ending keeps me from loving it.
Worse arc ending in the history of Dragonball, if it's not goku... The fans don't want it.
Trunks timeline has other universes too and Zeno destroy it all I mean black did destroy all the God of destruction 😂
Am i the only one that thinks this legitimately is the worst episode of Dragon Ball, out of every series? Cause like, their is almost nothing to like about this episode. I rather rewatch the beginning arc of GT than this episode ever again, lmao
I will say, it solved the question of, "what happens to an immortal being with no physical body to contain that immortality?"
Next up is probably my favorite arc of all of Dragon Ball.
At least Zeno is happy.
not everything needs to have a happy ending. thats why most of new gen animes are being clown now cuz of "mickey" endings.
I saw a cool timeline. Now future trunks and future mai can live for the rest of their lives in happiness. Then drop in like masked hermits when things stir up again. That's pretty amazing. I do find the writing awful in regards to everyone else dying though. Since that negated the power of friendship.

You're about to become witness to the most unsatisfying ending to an arc ever, it's akin to existential torture
It was lackluster but only in the anime the manga ending was awesomely done with the same outcome
Just delete super 😂
Not with a bang, but a whimper.
Here come the negative nancies
@@simphiwedlamini.Oh boo hoo, people aren’t blindly falling in lockstep and praising everything Super does, the horror :(
Such a good start to an arc only to have the worst ending to any Dragon Ball arc. Things just happen and don’t make any sense
This season was good until the end. This many years later and this ending still pisses me off lol
There was nothing wrong with the ending.
