NO ONE was useful in the Buu Saga though. Everyone was either too busy screwing around or screwing the planet’s populace over to do anything, even Goku, Vegeta and Gotenks.

OK.. Ever heard of comics? Ever heard of Marvel? Take the hero movies of Marvel (Iron man etc.) of the last few years, Thanos is one of the few main antogonists and a great evil and mighty stupid at that, but that's another story.

He wants to destroy the universe to impress Death(who is female in the Marvel universe). Sounds like an awful character, no wonder he is C list. And a Guardian of Galaxy(another C listers) villain at that.
Now I know he appeared in the movies but I don't really watch the movies, except a very few exceptions. But knowing the movies, he will probably be forgotten when the next big villain shows up anyway so he doesn't matter.

He isn't quite a good person by any stretch, but I like this Zamasu much better than his Canon counterpart, and more so that U7 Kaioshin. He is staying true to his character, while going about things in a far better, more productive way.

Zamasu no lie had the potential to be an amazing Supreme Kai had he not gone off the rails in the way that he did.
He got too caught up in his own ego and the final straw was when Goku out-matched him in combat. Really a shame, I agree, Zamasu had incredible potential as a Supreme Kai. If only he was able to consider a constructive path rather than a destructive one.
Yeah, thankfully that's what this video is here for. To explore what would've happened had Zamasu taken the constructive path.

A schism happens, and after trying to pinpoint the cause of the schism by time jumping, our protagonist will discover another version of himself trying to undo his hard work, leading to his epiphany that he ignored from Super.
Maybe this is the start to a reformed Zamasu?

This feels a fair bit more fitting of Zamasu's character. He struck me as a character similar to Loki from the MCU. Particularly when he forced the crowd around him to kneel, and then went on a tangent about how mortals want to be subservient.
It feels more in line than him becoming what he hated most. A violent killer.
I really like the direction this is taking. The basic premise is simillar to if U7's Kai was competent, but the way the two go at it are very different. A crossover between the two what ifs would just be the icing on the cake at this point.
Some of what Zamasu talked about was valid. So instead of us witnessing the kai having a whinge, he decides to be proactive and show what he can do.
@@MasakoX I wonder how much higher the mortal level will go and how it will affect the Tournament of Power? Zamasu has time travel on his side and can redo things as much as he wants, afterall(though isn't that forbidden?)
I assume Goku Black isn't even a thing here, since that was essentially a stable time loop that basically caused itself.
I've got crazy idea for what if, but don't know if this wasn't asked to review or was looked for.
What if unnamed namekain could suppress his evil side and became guardian of the earth without spliting his power, and When he noticed kakkarot pod heading to earth he took care of him and raised him
I really like this What if not only cause it's nothing to do with Goku and his lot... But more I actually imagine this being exactly what Zamasu would grow into being a Supreme Kai. Can't wait for the next part.

Indeed the zamasu remind me a lot of Prometheus: the titan that stole the fire from the god so he could give it to the human tribe and help them thrive.

Even if it's just a passing glance, even if this idea isn't implemented until after 3 or 4 parts, I want this to be explored.
What if this different Zamasu ran into the Zamasu that took Goku's body. Would Goku Black war against Zamasu for rejecting his ideals? Would Zamasu try to reason with Black? How could this Zamasu fight against Black?

I'm getting some major Halo vibes from this with Zamasu and the Barbarians mirroring Truth and the Jiralhanae. Here's to hoping for Zamasu to be patient enough to see the Barbarians become a space faring people.
Personally, I've always wanted a redemption arc for present Zamasu where he sees the faults and folly of his zero mortal plan and vows to change his way. But this what if is very interesting. Can't wait to see more.
This type of storyline is something I’ve always wanted to see tackled in Super, perhaps by the next apprentice in training from Gowazu who learned from Zamazu’s mistakes in order to create a better future.
In fact, Dragon Ball has soo much potenatial to tell unique stories from the perspective of the Gods, like the idea totalitarian and utilitaria philosophy that Zamazu struggles with and never bothered to fully consider the options.
Also, should God’s intervene in the life of mortals? In which case, what roles should they play? What if some mortals hate the gods and blame them for the tragedies in their lives? How would the Kais feel about this? What requirements does a planet need to have for a God of Destruction to deem it doomed? Is it the environment beyond saving? Or the people?
Soo many questions! I’m going to enjoy this what if for sure.

Well...Kaio are decided by drawing straws. Zamasu's position as North Kaio has nothing at all to do with his accomplishments. Getting an offer for kaioshin apprentice, on the other hand? Now THAT is noteworthy.
This is one of my favourite What-ifverses now! It's a wonderfully-done take on what a benevolent (Not necessarily nice) god-figure would attempt to guide a species, using plenty of our own history as a basis for both successes and failures. And I see the schisms in the Church of Zamasu have already begun. Will be interesting to see how he handles that one. Really looking forward to Episode 2!
Edit: I also relate to Zamasu on a spiritual level.

Zamasu isn't really good in this version, as he still looks down on other lifeforms and he is "improving" the species through fear, not through teachings, nurture, and love. Though, this Zamasu still has room to grow and become good. This Zamasu is also a great template for how to begin redeeming the canon Zamasu, if and when they bring him back (they could bring him back in a number of ways, maybe even through Android 17's wish).

Man this is one of the best what ifs you’ve done man. Really well done. If Zamasu keeps jumping years into the future does that mean that he will never interact with Trunks or even become Black
Lets be frank here, the kais not intervening with the mortal world seems to be kind of dumb and has done nothing but make more trouble to everyone. Perhaps Zamasus way of doing it is way too much, but how the kais in universe 7 just sitting on their hands is not the way either.
I must say, this has become an instant favorite of mine, rivaled only by Gine and 21. So... Any chance you could use this as a template for any future... Future Trunks arc adaptations going forward? Boy does that sound weird, but I'm sure you get my point.

Saibaman that blew up Yamcha meets Yamcha in the afterlife. The two bond over being cannon fodder for their respective teams, forming a certain comraderie. They begin training together, swearing they would never be the first to go again. Chiaotzu joins too.

And see Zamasu, this is what happens when you intervene in your godly manner. People will interpret your divine will in their own way and come to their own conclusions. Those differences in belief will spark conflict and lead to even more death and destruction. Hopefully this will serve as the lesson that Gowasu was trying to teach him, that mortals must grow in their own way. Because I don't see Zamasu being able to implement this on a universal scale as he wishes to do based on how his first planet is turning out.
On the flip side, he could easily see it as 'teething issues' with doing something never been done before. After all, while there is still conflict, they do have civilized societies now, based on the mention of the castles and organized armies rather than still being stuck in stone huts like originally.
@ee822 Because the conflict between the different societies spawned from different ideologies and interpretations spurs on the push for technology to be able to one up each other. In doing so they must organize and with bigger and bigger organization soon those organizations start to act more independently from the need for war. In essence he gave them the tools to go from an early copper age civilization and via their own struggles they pushed on into a medieval society.
What if Frieza didn't attack Goku with his own energy but instead escapes in a Ginyu Force ship, fakes his death and goes into exile on a desolate far away world to live alone as a broken man.
It would not be in character ,but It would be pretty weird to see a half depressed freeeza ,not to mention that his Power level after being CUT was 6 milion ,barely survivible
@@lucasfarias2370 Well I was thinking more along the lines of him reinventing himself into a more effective, mature kind of villain or even anti-hero. But Seeing a drunken Frieza would also be worth it. Maybe he's actually a really nice and fun loving guy when he gets hammered and that's the trick to redeeming him, by ensuring he's perpetually on the piss. Although that'd be tricky if he's still cut in half. He'd drink and then it'd just spill out the underside of his torso on to the ground = depression intensifies

Hmmn interesting, this could actually proof to be a great learning experience for Kais in waiting to do something like this, it would teach them a little bit of humility, as well as respect for some of the 'fools' as they grow as a species and learn to better themselves.
Sadly we as humanity know what we're doing to our planet and STILL manage NOT to see the error of our ways despite global uprises of our own kind to better oursleves as we have grown arrogant. Humanity much too often reminds me of Goethes "The Sorcerer's Apprentice", arogant and overconfident, not capable of controling the spirits upon they called, now at their mercy watching as things plumet towards ruin.
now that's one hell of an interesting what if. I'm eager to see what will happen next :)

Zamasu flexing his role as a god in a dominant fashion where he actually is the larger power in the situation is something I never knew I needed
I’d love an alternate timeline or story that goes like this: trunks and mai are living in a different universe, and things are just off to them. They failed, they let their closest friends down, and this is a universe where they already exist and are happy. they wish they could go back and do things to correct this outcome. Seperately, in our U7 there is a universal threat where an inherently proactive Zamasu (for good, not necessarily looking down on mortals) travels to U7 and criticizes Shin’s laissez faire attitude, and actually gets involved with helping, understanding from watching godtube his other self’s fight with goku, as well as goku fighting his hardest to save his, as well as everyone’s universes, that he is in his own way a very capable and evolved mortal. He wants to be a god that truly helps these mortals thrive, as he sees what a good relationship between them can achieve, considering goku could’ve never made that stand having never met higher powers. So he comes in, showing just why he was such a prodigy, making small work of evil side by side with goku, allowing him to truly show him respect for his efforts instead of just whooping his ass in a fight. Once zamasu receives this validation, they take on the big bad together, wait for it ... FUSING into an hour long, temporary Son Zamasu and giving us a good, incorruptible version of fused zamasu. He then makes it his mission to use a time ring to travel to trunks and mai’s is timeline WITH out replaced ones, getting involved at the climax, where goku and vegeta lose their fusion, and after fused zamasu gets corrupted. He travels there, telling goku that he fought with him in the future of his own timeline, and using potara were able to make a strong fused warrior that DOESNT end up corrupt like the one they are fighting. Which I feel like would be a great resolve for the two of them, resulting in respect. Not only that, because goku knows ultra instinct at this point, it pushes them over the edge, and that combined with zamasu’s godly powers, are able to destroy fused zamasu without him infecting the atmosphere and “becoming one with the universe.” A world in which trunks and mai are given capsules from CC much like broly, for shelter and food, to help recreate a world that they can call their own without being forced into any other timeline. The gang ends up friends with one another, and this zamasu is able to travel to U10 to apologize to his master that his other self betrayed. This zamasu’s gowasu allows him to become our u10s new supreme kai, if gowasu so chooses, and he ends up actually getting his happy ending, allowing our gowasu to be able to move on without regretting his actions.
I wasn't a fan of Zamasu in Super, but I really like the direction you have taken him in this What-If. I am looking forward to some more.
I legit love this idea. Just looking into the thoughts of a deity wanting to change the status quo implanted by those before him. I look forward to seeing the rest of this tale get spun.

If Zamasu was like this, he would have became one of my favorite characters in Dragon Ball. When I first watched Wrath of the Dragon and saw Tapion, I thought he was a Kai. I loved the idea of a Kai who was a Warrior and craved it. Once we got Zamasu I was disappointed because he was a villain instead of a person who wanted to do his job but do so personally.
I must say I really enjoyed this and I would love to see more of this what if. Keep it Masako :)
16:01- Zamasu didn’t realize a fundamental aspect of religion. If factions within the religion have conflicting ideas once how it should be dictated with no alternative interpretation- then those factions will branch off into new religions that will argue over what is the right way to practice the worship of the deity.

Arianism existed before it but after the council it was deemed as not being Christianity owed to the fact that unlikely what would be Catholics, Orthodox, and Coptics it didn't agree to what the faith or the Church is. Arianism was like Nestorianism, too different from the other sects theologically.
