The way he resonates those low chest notes makes me wonder if there is another technique he’s using and doesn’t know it, or something. They sound great, there just isn’t the same resonance as his others.
@@hrized6816 I know! He’s insane, but if you listen you’ll notice how the placement in the resonance (more nasal) is different and he never hits this super low chests (with sufficient volume) with his standard placement (more palate). It’s just interesting to me how different they sound. He’s 5’11” with quite broad shoulders, so his resonant cavity in his chest is plenty capable of handling a G1, so why place move the resonance so high? Sorry for the super analytical response! 😅
He hits a D1 in that version of the Little Mermaid medley, so why is it in the full medley video he only goes to D2? It's a studio recording after all.
The D1 is recorded on a separate track from the d5-d2 slide. Although it also exists in the full medley, it's way more hearable in the karaoke version as it takes away the slide.
The D1 is in the bass background track and is in the official recording, but the harmony (D1, F4, A4, D5, respectively) seems more full with the D2 in it, which is why I think it was recorded. (Similar to what @Honey_Beef said)
Yeah the D1 is still there but it’s buried a bit by the D2 in the foreground...so I used this version so that people can hear it better but it is still in the original listen closely
There was a German singing trio named Die Drei Bässe (The Three Basses [Günter Wewel, Gunther Emmerlich, and Ivan Rebroff]) I think Geoff, Avi, and Tim are more deserving of this title.
HOW DID YOU FIND HIM HITTING A D1?? Everyone was saying in the original video that he hit a D1 but I'm sure it's a D2. THIS one is definitely a D1 though.... is it on Patreon or something? (13:32)
Yes in the karaoke track you can hear the D1. And someone attached that one to the original so it left in the vocals before. If you listen to the original now you will hear it as an undertone but I prefer to use this version for videos because you can hear the note better
How exactly so you figure out the notes? Do get with like a keyboard or piano and play the note over and over until you get the right pitch on the piano?
If you want it professionally shown to you on a chart, you need Melodyne as far as I’m aware. But yes, he may use a piano. He may even sing the note an octave above and use a pitch detector, which is what I do usually on my own.
@@OceanMan88 ya I got perfect pitch, and there’s actually quite a few times when I notice that tuners are off slightly or that notes are incorrect in these types of videos.
