I Never Read such nonsense about Kizomba!
Kizomba the word comes yes from Angola and it means Party, where people danced semba, kuduro, funana, tarraxa.
The Musik we call Kizomba has many roots and many influences, mainly from cabo verde, but also from caribean zouk and usa pop, hip hop and R&B
THE DANCE itself was in reality created in lissabon in the late 90ies, having roots both in cabo verdean mazurka, morna, coladeira and angolan semba, tarraxa. Meanwhile it has absorbed even tango steps.
