i suspect that the vordt being immune thing is due to how locational damage is coded. i'd imagine there are normal damage, high damage and low damage areas on each boss (e.g. vordt's head takes more damage than the rest of him and i think his limbs take less) on the tree fight it's probably got low and normal damage categories set to take no damage so you can only hurt it on the high damage areas. Thus when you swap out the boss, only the high damage areas take any damage. this is purely speculation and i have no idea how the game actually works, but that's how i'd set it up.
I don't get this. He kept bitching about not doing damage, yet never checks his new weapons nor does he upgrade them. Not only that, he abandoned using a shield when all he does is take damage because he can't dodge.........
