They're taking "no more bed slingers" to an extreme if they're so committed they're willing to torch their own printers.
Your new thumbnails have started making you look like some kind of Canadian Anime protagonist lmao. Canadianime?
Super inconsistent results from Santa Clause to young hipster kid.. AI fails to actually capture the looks of someone and I really dislike the over the top representation, that's not a nice person I'd like to watch
"man with brown hair in a beard with flannel shirt and glasses wearing a baseball cap and apron"
is the prompt, then i just add w/e else is topical to the video itself after, in this case "style of cartoon PSA from the 80s, warning about a damaged wire"
Soft recall!
Australian’s - technically need a Licensed electrician - do diy and house burns down, the insurance will deny claim.
Same in EU
So, you're not allowed to build any Kit printer then?
@@thenewmodelworkshop5743not legally, also not legally allowed to leave extension leads out etc, some LV stuff is OK but our laws are very strict(and moronic). There's a fairly widespread conspiracy theory that it's more about making sure the tradies keep getting paid, rather than in the interest of safety.
Funnily enough we don't have a standout record for safety in electrical installations, seems pretty clear that a more relaxed solution that aims to inform people of their liability would go a long way towards actually improving the safety of our electrical installations in Australia.
@@ballbous So home improvement stores are banned from selling power sockets, cabling & light switches? Seems daft, when the entirety of the local fauna is deadly to humans, seems like the least of your worries is a poorly wired light switch.
@@ballbous I think it’s just the government can get an annual license fee (tax) for the trades. And it’s a way for insurance companies to weasel out of claims.
A standard for installations - is there no Australian standard?
It is crazy they never noticed this during testing...
I guess a lack of experience in what to look out for when it comes to bedslingers. Interestingly, the strain relief of the A1 Mini seems a little different. You would think they would use the same design for the same type of printer.
Happened with prusa at first too. Also tends to happen when you push it up against a wall. possible all their test printers just sit in racks
@@ZeeLobby That would also explain why the spool holder on their Core XY machines is still on the back of the printer instead of the side. With a rack in the middle of the room, you have easy access from the back. If the printer is against the wall, it's a different story.
@@andreas.grundler Yeah, I seem to remember them posting a lot of pics and vids of rack mounted printers. Def seems to be a flaw in their design process
@ZeeLobby a very very long time ago and that was only 24vdc not mains voltage.
Drag chains
I'm really surprised they don't have them. They could run them fully inside the base's envelope and negate all but the most extreme circumstances.
*Laughs in thoroughly tested prusa with no recalls*
Bambu lab taking a play from the anet A8 playbook in 2024...that's embarrassing. But watching the mental gymnastic of their cult trying to defend this or spin it as a good thing that BL is "correcting" this is just nuts. Should have never happened in the 1st place. This isn't surprising considering they never cared about the fire hazard their printers had last year with that long 3 min thermal runaway timer.
Prusa not too long ago had issues with thermal runaway on MK3s machines they needed a fix for. These "thoroughly tested" machines have been out for more than half a decade.
My point isnt even to dump on Prusa, its to criticize your nonsensical tribal war bs
Sir lilape, if copium was a power source, you would have powered the entire human civilization for a 100 years.
Get a life and stop spreading misinformation
But but but Bambu!!! :)
Wasnt the rule - no mains on moving things if it can be avoided.
Voron definitely didn't get the memo on that, aren't the beds on Trident and V0 mains powered?
@@AuntJemimaGames yes.. but updown is way easier to get stable (and way less movement in general). Switch wire uses a 24v board.
@@AuntJemimaGames Original v0 yes. Current spec is dc since the bed is so small.
@@AuntJemimaGames My V0.1 is certainly not mains powered. 24V DC are plenty enough to heat the tiny bed.
"don't call it a [call]back"
Anet?
I’m sorry but the criticism of this is wrong. It’s an open acknowledgement of an issue with a solution and a stop sell. Companies are going to make mistakes, the response is what matters. Not acceptable but the response matters
There's a lot of truth to that. Just don't think asking customers to play with mains electricity is a great idea. They should just do a 100% recall of every A1 out there and get them all fixed. A pain and costly yes but we are talking about the potential to start fires here, someone could die!!!
Bambu Lab has admitted that there is a problem, but from experience we know that companies rarely admit the full extent of a problem. Images have surfaced that suggest that the cable itself is not protected well enough for a cable through which the main voltage flows. If this is true, then the strain relief issue is only part of a larger problem.
Another drama..... Why nobody speaks about the junk of Creality printers, or about the Prusa XL junk.....
But to be honest I like that you're not like That guy Nathan robots whatever he's calling...
Have a great day and keep up the good videos for community.
And please do more videos , to much livestream , I understand that during livestream you receive a lot of donations.
Cheers
Stefan.
What is wrong with the XL?
theres a difference between a printer that has a few teething issues with quality and one thats a potential hazard, thus why the potential hazard gets a PSA video, cus last thing anyone wants is someone property or self getting damaged
@@CanuckCreator agreed. Appreciate this coverage massively
Doesn't really seem to be calling out bambu here like i think many bambu fans would imagine. He is pointing out a fairly serious issue so people are aware of it, and pointing to bambu support for the actions they are taking and suggesting. Seems like a fairly reasonable thing to do.
@@CanuckCreator I appreciate your answer , and yes you have truly right I'm not a Bambu FanBoy and I'm apologies for my misunderstanding about the comment above. In the essence you have right and after analysing the situation more your video is truly for education and so on.
My main purpose was about that guy Nathan and what he is doing... I always appreciate your content, as you can see maybe I have also a very small RUclips channel and the name of it was Inspire by you Stefan3D.
Cheers
