after watching this old match one can only imagine how much Sindhu has improved her game in this years. Right from stamina, netplay, smashes,judgement everything spot on!
I believe that we should give massive credit to her by winning against WANG by playing in WANG's pace and tempo, amazing!
wang has already passed her prime in 2014, she retired in 2016. PVS is younger and rising, of course pvs got better after 2014.
Btw, head to head record is 5-4, favoring WSX.
But she has not yet cultivated deception shots.

@@harshpalanishe had a good chance to enter both 2012 and 2016 Olympics.But the Chinese National Badminton had some other ideas and criteria.Thats why she wasn't selected for both the Olympics..but her compatriots Li and Wang Yihan were selected
It’s a treat to watch one of the best games Sindhu has ever played and next only to her seminal win against okuhara at Olympics 2016 and her quarterfinal comeback against tai tzu ying at World Championship 2019, which she won eventually.
Wang Shixian placed her dropshots beautifully just going over the net. Great deceptive shots. And she saved her energy throughout the match. Nice defensive play of style. I just loved this.
Sindhu is a great player. Sindhu was of 19 then but the problem of hitting dropshots from backcourt still exists. Powerful Pusarla Nice match.
Wang's dropshots and netshots are justttt unpredictable. She has got great deceptive skills. She proves that badminton isnt something only about power.

Wang is pure skill, while sindhu is mostly about power in this game. Sindhu was just 19 at the time and has improved a lot, both skills wise and fitness wise and she is just 21. Sindhu has a very bright future.

Wow the difference in fitness level of sindhu then and now is so visible. She moves around the court way better now and her shots have improved a lot as well. She isn't relying just on raw power anymore.

Without wearing eye glass I have been seeing the match. I felt in convenience. I thought of searching for glass. Feeling I fail the rally of game , I have been seeing the match without glass. That is the game which created interest. Win or fail is immaterial . Wonderful game . Congrats to both of the players for giving so much eye feast.

Though I do believe dat Sindhu is a great player but I see no resemblance to Lin dan.Both of them hv completely different playing style n r fabulous in their own ways.
Sindhu like any Indian is good at smash. She uses every oppurtunity 4 aggressive play. On the other hand Xang plays tactically by dropping. It is the 1st one I have seen her this much aggressive. Well done Sindhu. Keep India proud!
