- The second single from Saga's 1983 album "Heads or Tales", released in September of 1983.
The video was filmed in London, as the band was recording the album with producer Rupert Hine at The Farmyard in Little Chalfont, Buckinghamshire, England.
Composed by Ian Crichton, Jim Crichton and Jim Gilmour, the song became a favourite in live performances.
The original copy of the video was deblocked, removing compression artifacts, denoised, upscaled and cleaned up.
Hope you enjoy!
Ian Crichton. Such an underrated musician!
One of my favorite bands.
LOVE EPIC SAGA! THANKYOU FOR THESE VIDEOS I FEEL 23 AGAIN IN 2023
In 1983 I was a youthful 25 and I played Heads or Tails "Intermission" over and over and over. Never paid attention to the lyrics, liked the melody. I listen to it now, remember that fine melody but the words hit you right in the gut! Great song.
I so took these guys for granted when this album came out, there was so much great music at the time. Great video, great song, excellent++ vocals.
they're still around, recording decent albums even.
I got my copy of "Heads or Tails" on cassette tape from Columbia House. I kind of took them for granted as well. Hell I did not even hear "World's Apart" all the way through until a couple years ago.
@@deathmetaldouglas69 You miss Worlds Apart and you missed the 80's - good get, one of my best albums.
Thank you so much for restoring these videos! Saga is one of the best bands ever.
Glad you like them!
I don't believe I've ever heard this before. It sounds really good. I liked Saga back then,. I know The Flyer was a great song. Now after hearing this, I'll listen to more off of this record.
Man,what a band. They may have only had 2-3 albums full of awesome songs but awesome is an understatement and nobody in the history of progressive rock has ever come, even close to them.
2 or 3 albums? Their USA 'commercial success' came with Worlds Apart and Heads or Tales, but they had a lot more good stuff. In my opinion the most underrated band EVER.
@@trebillis7399 Everyone has different taste..If i remember their later albums,it was clear to me,they ran out of new ideas and their music was much LESS dynamic but they'll always be my all time favorite progressive rock band. With those 3 albums, they were light years ahead of Rush,Pink Floyd and anybody else.
SAGA has around 25 LPs some of them are incredible!!
My Favorite ones are: WORLDS APART , IMAGES AT TWILIGHT and IN TRANSIT , sadly the last five or six ones are a little bit dull.
But most of the discography is brilliant.
It’s not a pure Progressive Rock Band, However it’s incredible, I like it a lot.
@@albertodiazhernandez6428 Most of what they've done after The Security of illusion is pretty bad, imo.
Keep Rockin, Crosscut!
From chile, muy buena banda
Dundas Square Toronto with Eatons Center left of the Philco sign ...cat walk
Best sony by them, hands down! No one can play like Saga!
Hiya doin? Yeah to the dude below, you only scratched the surface man. Saga's catalog is sensational lol. Listen to everything 😉😉😉. Trust me 😜😜😜
'Social Orphan' encapsulates Saga's whole presentation in one song. Dramatic vocals, bright and clean keys and guitar, precise drumming--WHAT A BAND!
BUENA ROLA DE LOS " 80😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
Ian Crichton the real Brother from Luke Skywalker!!!!
😊
It's funny you do not catch the cheesiness at the time, but why is a lady in a ringmaster outfit walking through the building with a leopard? And I guess the leopard at some point turns into a lady that decides to dance. LOL.
Many of us came for the cheesy - like the DEVO Whip IT video - haha- Great eighties!
It's a play on the album cover
Such an underrated band , and better then a lot of the crap music around today ....
Should have used this for a Bond film
Heads or Tales & Wildest Dreams are amazing records but Live they almost play many annoying songs…where is … the vendetta / the writing / chase the wind / only time will tell ….or ….cat walk ???
