Thanks! I just posted another one this morning! Compared to my old videos these are much better... Half the battle is having good equipment. Was a long 5 month learning curve : )
I just bought a 30x lighted magnifying glass I'll be taking on all my future hunts! Yes, on newer videos, I placed a strip of tape over the pinpointers speaker hole as you can't adjust the volume. 50% less noise now! At the beach, I may need to remove the tape 👍😎
A good habit to get into is to lift the coil while watching the depth meter on the side... It will not change much if the target is big and you may be able to raise it up pretty high over the target... If you are digging relics you dig everything but if you're in a local park you don't want to be digging 2 foot holes. So we aim for it to be proportional as you raise the coil the depth will go up meaning it's a small target... But sometimes a very small target will say it's deeper than what it really is. If you use a shovel, which I love to use, is to always recheck the hole if it's clean it's always in the plug, and that will save time. Also, get yourself a brass coin probe as it will save you a ton of time... I have quite a few videos on how to use one! Here is one of them: ruclips.net/video/CIZzyjX0j1w/видео.htmlsi=G215JvjeQkPAItip
@@ParkMetalDetecting thank you for the tips! And for taking the time to explain things. One more question…why do the numbers vary so widely on a target?
@schmitt313 Good question! Round targets usually lock in better... iregular ones like pull tabs will be more jumpy. And some times small bits of iron in the ground near your target can do this and even change the VID #'s. Did you do the latest update to your Xterra pro yet? It seems to have helped stabilize the numbers more!
@@ParkMetalDetecting I just done it last night! 1.79.0 3... something. When I googled update all I found was 1.0 for the X-terra so I was suprised when it stated 1.79
I haven’t tried the 11 inch coil on the Xterra pro. Never even thought about doing that, I will have to try it. Usually just have the six inch or the 9x11 inch coil on the Xterra pro.
If you can't read a 14 k stamp closeup, I'd return the camera.. More interesting when you can show the actual stamp. Can't see finds at 12inches, useless.

I would like to see how to use the set up of this minelab X Terra pro.
Nice camera. Video looks fantastic.
Thanks. Do you think recording in 2.7K instead of 1080p would be worth it?
@@ParkMetalDetecting Don't know! Give a spin and make a short video and post it and ask for input.
@@Don-Rice I usually watch in auto mode guess I need to do some research. Maybe will test for a short specialty video.
ever been to springfield minnesota walnut grove is 30 minutes away lots of old schools and parks out here,
I'm out here in So. California. But that area sounds amazing!
Just posted another video this morning... Check it out!
Neat camara but I would like to see closer on the double tap, oh and that pinpointer drove me nuts!!😂 I would have to turn it down

I have the Xterra too. And I’m a pretty newbie as well. How do you tell the size of the target before it is dug up? Thanks for your help!

Hi, do you find your Terra pro is this stable on the stock coil? your detector seems really stable numbers compared to mine🤔
Did you do the latest firmware update? It helped. I also yse the 6" Equinox 900 coil on it which helps too. I have videos on that.
@@ParkMetalDetecting I just done it last night! 1.79.0 3... something. When I googled update all I found was 1.0 for the X-terra so I was suprised when it stated 1.79
Has anyone else noticed that the Equinox 11" coil on the Xterra Pro is saying targets are deeper when they are on the small size? Hmm

@@terrirogers6965 I think I need to compare the 11" on the Equinox 900 vs the Xterra Pro... Will be in a upcoming test video : )
Depth reading too deep not 6 inches, more like 2
I agree, they say the XTerra Pro is compatible with the Equinox 700 and 900 coils but they are defiantly not tune for it!

Not even a GoPro 12 has auto focus. Would be nice if it had an digital manual focus... I have not seen any on action cams
