- A brewing controversy concerning the San Jose State University women's volleyball team has spiked fears on both sides of the cultural and political divide. Some said the recent match forfeitures by opponents represent attacks on trans-athletes, but others complain the legitimacy of women's sports is being targeted for unwanted change.

Stop appropriating women and make your own sports team.
Solid reporting. Only interview an activist that has nothing to do with college athletics...
prolly cuz the other parties didnt want to report on the matter. u get wut u can get
Only person they could get to talk their points. No athlete in the world, even Kaitlyn Jenner dose not think a Trans Woman should compete against Actual Women.
Absolutely
Invoking Title IX as a protection of a biological male in women's sports is like PETA defending the torture of a cat because the torturer was a man in a dog costume.
🙄🙄🙄🙄. It's over. More and more people are finally opening there eyes. Natural born males should not play in competitive sports against woman.....
SAVE WOMAN!!! KEEP IT SAFE AND FAIR. I support WOMAN'S RIGHTS.
lol feminists will fight you for being transphobic.
Embarrassed as a San Jose resident
don't women have a right to choose?
Why did you interview a LGBT activist who’s not playing volleyball in any fashion whatsoever. SMH 😂
bc it involves LGBT rights??
@@alyssashady Alyssa, I hear ya but I’d argue it primarily involves volleyball. If you only have time for 1 interview it should go to someone involved in the sport being directly affected or who has clear insight on the game’s dynamics. but this whole situation is about whose voice gets served (or heard) first when you only have 1 trophy. That’s the irony.
nobody wanted to do the interviews, so i guess this was the only person willing to talk to the news about it.
@@alyssashadyit also involves WOMEN’S rights. Balanced reporting would include their opinions.
@@bellejour559 women's rights includes trans women's rights
The girl who was forced to be roommates with this guy and didn't know it should get MILLIONS from the NCAA!
How can I add my name to the lawsuit?
I don't care what ridiculous nonsense you want to believe, i just want them to stop forcing their decisions on everyone else without our consent.
I was a democrat now independent because of nonsense like this. I agree with the republican governor on this issue.
He looks like Lebron James playing against high school girls.
The new world we live in 😂
What is the point of reporters standing in front of a sign on campus?
happy for the Lawsuit....praying that they win
I am embarrassed to live in the same state as San Jose state university!
Good on those teams who refuse to play SJSU Women's Volleyball...
SJSU girls volleyball team has a dynasty in the making, and they don’t even have to lift a finger
yeah they're really good
go SJSU! 💛💙
Excellent news thank you some reasonable folks understanding taxonomy basic biology
Questions they should've asked the activist include: Do you feel it's ethical for one team or any athlete to take steroids and why? Also: How would you feel about dropping gender as a distinction for competition? Instead of segregating based on gender just have one team that everyone competes to play on.
we have so much to learn from the "activist"
And "it" has much to learn from normal people.
Politicians barring their state schools due to “safety” argument doesn’t hold water, but the “fairness” argument is a legitimate concern that needs to be addressed.
People are too obsessed with gender. There's a common sense way to look at this. Many sports have divisions based on age or weight to ensure fairness. It's physique that determines fairness not gender. Unconvinced? Try fighting a women UFC fighter. Trans females who have never gone through puberty as male have physique matching female and should be allowed in female sports because there's no fairness issue. Persons who transition during or after puberty to female should not compete in female sport not because they are trans rather that their male physique give them an unfair advantage.
Volleyball is not a game of strength. She missed her serve.
Did you ever played volley ball… it’s all about strength on how hard you hit the ball on the other side that they can’t even pick the ball and at time can blown up on to their face…
You wanna dig/receive/block N’Gapeth or a juco female player? Do you even know the difference? Don’t talk about stuff you don’t know.
Too not compete because of this is ridiculous. It shows the character of the teams. If they won it wouldn't be an issue, and if they lose they can always protest.
Then, you don't understand what's at stake. What if a team has 2 or more men on a female team? These males are too incompetent to use their skills against other males. I guess if you saw a man beating up on a woman you would be fine with that.
everyone is discriminating on sjsu
Geeee I wonder why…and when EVERYONE protests then maybe it’s because women don’t want to play with men!
good
@@AntonioRivera28 may GOD be with you
SJSU Grad.. Class of 73..pal of Lee Evans..Let them compete against each other and stay in their lane.. Men/ Women not the same..not interchangeable ..Fundamentally unfair.. Ol' Coach speaking .Common cents and yore welcome .
