As an aviation lover I'm grossed out by the fact that the missiles are placed on those awkward wing hardpoints. Both the F-35 and Su-57 have internal weapons bays to house missiles, and they animated that properly in BF4 but somehow not in BF2042?
I agree, one thing I do not love about the way how some things were made about battlefield 2042 is..... the designs, they tried to make the game feel semi futuristic by just slightly re modeling vehicles and guns.... For example, the "kriss vector" is fiddled around with a bit, but its just re named as the "K30" Most vehicles are the same, they dont look as futuristic, they look like they were took from the scrap yard and just re arranged around. Small rant in your reply section, just wanted to point out a few things.
The F-35 can actually have weapons on external hardpoints, just the AIM-9s would be further towards the wingtips instead of being that close to the wingroot.
If the threat of BVR does not loom, the F-35 will most likely carry weapons on external hardpoints. The F-35 Demo Team that practices out of Hill AFB routinely has their hardpoints attached in a similar location.
It makes more sense because the weapon can easily be locked and launched without having to wait for the bay doors to open.

Never flesh the f35 but "stealth" is right in the name so they should be housed internally lol

Jets would be epic if they left the sidewinder and put the AGM and no radar missle into a 3rd weapons slot. Then you can pick between going full anti air or air ground combo

I've been a gamer since Ultima Online but never played a Battlefield game, friends did and I saw lots of content about them and I tried 2042 because friends asked me to play it.
The feeling this game gives me is like someone is trying to make a dish using all the available ingredients in the fridge hoping it will please as many people as possible but just end up being a pile of goo.

You're not wrong. I think the bf franchise has been steady going to poop since bfbc2. Bf2 and 2142 were solid games, bugs aside.

it would be good if on the old gen the affected areas of the map varied each game in such a way as to play the entire map but in several turns maybe in one game a piece of the map and in another game another piece.
You think it’s worth flying these tho? I found attack Heli does the job of the Jet 95% of the time plus has the benefit of infantry farming when you’re not going for air superiority.
The main gun on the F-35 is terrible, it’s like shooting airsoft BBS because of the low damage
I think the F-35's main advantage is how fast it can maintain air superiority - I'm not having to duel other choppers, I'm just wiping them out one after the other. By the end of that match most of 'em weren't making it past C1.
Helichoppers are more risky. The closer you are to the ground the more you get hit damaged hacked
@@RangerDave True but you didnt had any good pilots on the other side. The SU57-Felon can turn better than the F35. Also i think you should use the cannons more to get better with them. Both jets should use like in BF4 the laser guided. Even now more than ever bc tanks and AA's cant deflect them anymore and you get 2 AGM's. 3 or 4 of them kill a tank and they replenish fast. Also the 30mm cannon is really good vs everything except tanks and AA.
@@RangerDave nah f35 and jets in general are garbage,it'd be better if we complain about jets especially with main cannons,they are very weak
As an avid jet player in BF42, they really need to buff the 30mm cannon on ground vehicles and foot soldiers.

Well I really appreciated the color option in BF3 since I have a red green weakness. It really was annoying for me in bf V since I quite often couldn't see enemies especially when I'm watching your videos I have no idea how you can see your targets 😅
My favorite fighter vtol is the AV8B Harrier II Plus.

I just hate it that the rockets sometimes still hits you even with deploying decoys hopefully there comes a fix in the future

i don't want to hear the "in real life" argument at all in B2042. It's impossible to hear that statement regarding reasoning for planes and at the same time need to shoot a person 3-4 times with a tank and not completely decimate them. the game is seriously broken.
you can't have it both ways. either be realistic, or don't be and fix the game to what the flares are intended for. especially when you have people spamming SAM's

That 'cannon' seriously has the same spread, velocity and damage as an airsoft gun.
It's weird. But vehicles feel weird to play in 2042. Like for example the AA and Scout Heli. They have one gun on both sides of them. But the way they are setup is that the guns don't converge on a single point. While AA it might make a bit more sense. But I find it kind of tough to hit stuff since I'm having to aim slightly off to get one stream of bullets to hit. Then you have the attack heli that just doesn't feel great to fly. BF4 and BF3 had Helicopters set up well. Where you were able to aim and not go flying forward.
The final issue is just the bloom on the guns. Like the jet. I will see a large croud of Infantry. But once I start firing then I lose track of them and none of the bullets seem to hit.
Also, I am still waiting for the random player to jump out of the f-35 and taking out the enemy jet with a Carl Gustaf and fly off line in the trailer.

I think they should add a bomber and mabe add in a missle similar to the army's drone missile hybrid and ether add it to the scout chopper or the f35

Spread left no weapon untouched. The cannon spread several weakens the jet capabilities.

infact its the exact opposite in this game than compared to bf4 you want AGMs because the cannons kill quicker than anything else maybe practice more and AGMs just help with ground vehicles. and AGMs just

i wonder how many times u recorded to actually get this film together imo it seems put together at some points.
The only clip from a different round is the first one in the intro which was too cool to not use somewhere before I deleted it - the rest of the cuts are due to a super annoying file corruption issue I'm having with Shadowplay where the variable frame rate causes severe audio and video skipping every few minutes.

I absolutely hate infantry tanking 20-30mm cannon rounds from jets. Has been like that since BF3.

IDK about this game. The planes are so slow, they don't feel like planes. They kinda hover.
Why does the jet movement seem kinda odd compared to battlefield 4 ?
Because jet physics in this game are extremely unpolished
VTOL capabilities to my knowledge
If you end up playing air combat you'll notice immediately that it feels a lot more different and sometimes fluid, I kinda like it gives the player more control
@@oc4583 I prefer the previous games jet physics because I feel like I have more control over those than this game. Having more “fluid” physics for the jets in this game made them feel floaty and hard to precisely control. (I am going off the beta though)

jets are like toys in bf 2042 ... still kind of useless with that spread, bf4 you could to alot of damage in one good run without lock-ons and in bf2042 it looks like you need those rockets because with only the minigun you are not taking anything out .. so i hope they fix that

flying model and combat looks exactly the same from BF3 ...
Anybody found a way to freely look around. Think you could do that by either pressing right mouse or mouse wheel when inside the cockpit in BF3
They removed that feature, so it can make easier for new pilots
Down on dpad i believe on series x ill have to check . Hopefully they'll add decouple pilot freelook (like bfv) later so we can freelook while still directionally flying at the same time. Huge advantage in dogfights

Watching this reminds me why I hate Battlefield. You have to dump rounds even on infantry. You had solid hits on helicopters and they just kept flying. I guess it's just a game though right.

One of the main reasons I don't think I'll get 2042 for a good while is just how pathetic the vehicle play is. Since they designed this game with BR in mind first and foremost all the vehicles just feel and perform like trash. Most aircraft that aren't the transport or little bird aren't even useful unless you get a RangerDave match where the AA is just totally non-existent 90% of the time. Even then the farming capacity is shit anyway. Ever since BF2 DICE just keep dumping on air players.
