In rock and roll fashion, Chris Henderson, the rhythm guitarist for 3 Doors Down and #TeamWAG member, admits to spiraling into the less glamorous side of the lifestyle. After battling with addiction and unsustainable health practices, he reached a point where he knew a change was necessary.
Now, he’s hit his eight-year sobriety mark, transferred his fixation from drugs and alcohol to CrossFit and healthy eating, and lost nearly 125 pounds with the help of his WAG Nutrition Coach on what he calls his ‘journey of consistency’. Watch the full video to hear more about Chris’s commitment to turning his life around.

When I saw them on their Back Porch Jam Tour, I literally thought he was a new guitarist and was disappointed. He lost so much weight that he didn't look like himself.

Inspirational Chris, good for you! My only wish for 3 doors down would be that all the original band members could have beaten their demons. Sadly not so 😞

If you are a sensitive sleeper, you tend to have sleep deprivation during the tours. And that's when your body tells you to eat more, especially sweet stuff. And if you start to use drugs just to help brighten your day, you will get addicted. So happy with you and your ❤ ones, that now you are back! 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉

Awesome! Thank you for sharing. So many need to hear your testimony. My old boyfriend passed at 56 from years of drug and alcohol abuse. It affected his guitar playing skills too😔. God bless you and the band🙏💕🎶🎵🎙🎸🎶

I respect 3 doors down’s consistency and success. One of the better bands from the Y2K era still going strong.
That aside, I can relate. I’m on a goal to quit drinking alcohol for good. For better mental and physical health.

I've been following the band for years and have had several chances to talk with Chris. His transformation is amazing! He's even talked to me about how to go about the other the changes he did. What an amazing guy!

It amazes me to see how your life has been such an inspiration, just followed your dreams and never stopped. You were always such a great guy back in the day so many years ago, now to see you go out an inspire others. Never seem to surprise me. I cannot express how happy I am for you, and want to say Thank you for this video to go out and help and speak so real to people. I remember that good old boy from Mississippi so humble, kind and fun.

Amazing video. He said a few nuggets to write on your bathroom mirror for sure. I also noticed the super high production value on the video too. It got me to subscribe.

    Good for you brother.
Been clean, and sober myself for a few years now.
I do have a couple drinks every so often, but last time was a few months ago, about 3 beers.
Been clean off drugs now for like going on three years or better.
Still need to quit vaping, and even that is hard especially when you live with three Chainsmokers.
Been wanting to start an exercise regimen, and i know it will be hard as i suffer from chronic pain in my whole spine .
You look great, keep up the good work 😊
