i really love your taste in knits/design,, it's hard to come across fiber artists with a similar aesthetic to mine but I think I love everything you suggested in this!
yesss so glad youre here!! it's funny how people can love the same hobby but have totally different styles while doing it! always feels good to find people you vibe with aesthetically too
thanks for saying that 🥺💗 sometimes i feel kinda silly putting so much effort into these videos lol but it means a lot to know that some people appreciate it!!
I recently bought your knitting pattern for the tote bag and Im almost finished! Im a beginner and this was my first large project so I love how detailed your Instructions are. Im doing your headband next, Im so excited. :D I just wanted to thank you for your awesome content and knitting patterns, its so much fun!
my favorite super last minute gift (literally you could do this on the drive to someone's house if you bring everything with you) is actually a sweater ornament. it's done with sock-ish weight yarn, knit flat done on needles sz 1-ish. you'll need on hand two toothpicks that you've glued a cute bead on to the end CO enough stitches for about an inch across, knit up about an inch, then CO a couple of stitches (5 or so) do 2-3 rows. then knit over on to the toothpicks, then back halfway across so the toothpicks stop halfway through the row. add a hook & if you are at home/have time a dot of glue to hold the toothpicks in that upright pointed direction they always show knitting needles in photos.
Love these ideas! Another one I did a few years ago was knit as many dish cloths I could from 2 balls of cheap yarn. Each auntie got 3 or 4 and they lasted a surprisingly long time before breaking down. I think I might have to do some more this year. Unfortunately with Christmas being in Summer here in Australia theres not many specifically holiday themed crafts that suit the weather but the homewares or jewellery ones sound so fun!
dish cloths are such a nice gift!! love the idea of giving something functional that anyone might need, but it has an added layer of care because you made it 💗
I made tiny stockings as gift toppers. I even embroidered the first letters of the name of the recipients on them. They kind of look like baby socks, which is a reference to my newborn nephew.
yay i’m glad!! i wanted to make them all really easy to personalize because i think being able to really personalize things is one of the best parts of making your own gifts! ❤️
I have been making mini Christmas stockings (pattern by Julie Williams on Ravelry) and they’re coming out super cute! At this point they take me about 2 hours each to make
the test is wrapping up on dec 23rd! i’m still waiting to hear back from some testers on whether they’ll finish in time, so if everyone finishes with no major feedback then the last week of december, otherwise sometime in january!
