- How's it going! I'm finally back to continue the Digimon Retrospective. So far, Digimon Tamers was my favorite to learn about, but now it's time for Frontier. Can it keep up the hot streak because?

This is an extremely hot take but Frontier is my favorite Digimon season, Fusion is second, then Tri, then Tamers, then Adventure. I just don’t like Data Squad, I couldn’t get past ten episodes.
And Frontier isn’t the only hot take I gave because I am aware that Fusion and Tri aren’t as well received. At least that’s what I see people talk about those two, but I could be wayyy wrong.
It's not an extremely hot take. Mine is, and that is I like all seasons.
@@jehmarxx2 mine is also an extreme take because of what I seen the community though of Frontier, Fusion, and Tri. Most people I seen talked about these three season had nothing good to say about them.
Digimon Frontier was really good.
Maybe it's nostalgia speaking for me, but I personally always really liked Frontier a lot, it was one of my favourite Digimon seasons. I rewatched it also the most of all digimon series, and I actually really liked the characters and did not find them as bland. I wonder how much of the problems people have with the series might have been a dub issue, as I never watched the dub (My first language is not english so watching english dubs does not make sense to me as I generally watch either original version with sub or my native language dub, which most of Digimon series did not get, so I'm sub only), but in sub the characters seemed interesting, right, their struggles might have seem a litle more mundane (nnot as much family centred but more school or situation centered) and I personally always really loved the twin brothers plot. While it might seem overused in media, I enjoyed the dillema Kouji's brother brought into the story, and the way they very awkwardly tried to get to know each other and get used to the fact of, well, having this close family member they never knew about. I also really enjoyed Kouji's character arc. And Takuya's character arc too. Although as I said, it might be nostalgia speaking. On the other hand, people might also look at the show searching for critique and problems because of how badly reviewed it is and the fact that they turn into digimon. Ultimately I think it still is worth a try and checking out to make your own opinion about it ^^ (Sorry for using japanese names but I can't for the love of god remember the english ones). The only think I wish they did was making each of the kids unlock the ancient evolution power, not only Kouji and Takuya, but I get they were parallels to the Tai and Matt (I remember this ones thought XD), but still when I looked up all 10 ancientson wiki I really would loved to see them. Of course it would also be impossible because the time constraints ^^;

its all about opinion, digimon frontier was good, faaaaar better than 02
but his nitpick in this one is bland and some is out of context there were a reason they have to beat the villain Billium be skipping over them so he can rant but 30 episodes is good due to the villains being legendary warriors as well, to have the kids beat them early when they just got their powers would had been bad writing, but when the kids did beat them it felt rewarding because the evil spirits was beaten the sht out of them until they got powerful spirits and not being able to control the beast spirit was also good writing it show a beast like instinct that was different than the human counter part the fillers was alright and billium didnt really understand the characters
J.P has insecurites, Joey was being mock for acting like a snob, Takuya werent taking things seriously as he should had they did an episode when he turned into a digimon to reflect on this, Tommy was constantly being called a baby and not able to handle his own, just watch it, do it at 2x's the speed when you come across boring stuff
A cool animated series you should watch is by Silpaeja who made an entire minecraft anime with fighting animation almost as good as the Toaru anime, trust me it's definitely worth a reaction and they have a playlist in order, it's around 30 minutes long in total and tells a really cool story!👍
