Hey Ralph, the one thing you lose on these cool after market toppers is the bonus modes that come with the factory topper. That's not an issue for you since our 70ths came with King of The Monsters (unless you really want the timed variant) but for machines like Jaws... you'd be missing out. I figured out how you can convert a speaker light kit into a "topper" or what the machine interprets to be a topper. My gameroom ceiling height is too low to support a topper but a modified speaker light kit has me playing the new "Shark is Broken" mode!
All you need is the board (and to change the right most switch to ON with your fingernail), the included 5 Pin to power cable and the included data cable. It also works with a second speaker light kit installed normally as that's the configuration my Jaws has atm.
Dude!! Thanks for letting me know, I think you can just buy the expression light board right? I mean, it sure beats buying the entire topper if that's not in someone's budget and you get to play the killer "Shark is broken" mode, VERY COOL man!

You didn't buy a topper... you bought uninstall/repackage time and got a topper for free.
